[0016] "A and / or B" may be a term that includes "A", "B", or "A and B".

[0017] The parameter or information indicating one or more values may mean that the parameter or information includes at least a parameter or information indicating the one or more values. The upper layer parameter may be a single upper layer parameter. The upper layer parameter may be an information element (IE) including multiple parameters.

[0018] Fig. 1 is a conceptual diagram of a wireless communication system according to one aspect of the present embodiment. In Fig. 1, the wireless communication system includes terminal devices 1A to 1D and a base station device 3 (gNB). Hereinafter, the terminal devices 1A to 1D may also be referred to as terminal devices 1 (UE).

[0019] In FIG. 1 , terminal device 1A and terminal device 1B are within the coverage of base station device 3. Within the coverage of base station device 3, terminal device 1 may be connected to base station device 3. The link from terminal device 1 to base station device 3 is called uplink (UL), and the link from base station device 3 to terminal device 1 is called downlink (DL). The uplink and downlink may be connected via a Uu interface. Terminal device 1C and terminal device 1D are outside the coverage of base station device 3.

[0020] In FIG. 1, sidelink communication may be performed between terminal devices. Sidelink communication refers to communication between terminal devices using wireless network technology without going through a network node. A sidelink is a wireless link between terminal devices when performing sidelink communication. The sidelink may be connected via a PC5 interface. Note that the number of terminal devices performing sidelink communication is not limited to two terminal devices, and may be three or more terminal devices.

[0021] Positioning refers to measuring the location of a terminal device. Sidelink positioning refers to performing positioning using sidelink communication. Sidelink positioning may be applied to use cases such as V2X, IIoT, public safety, and commercial. When at least two terminal devices are involved in positioning for V2X and public safety use cases, there may be three network coverage scenarios. For example, in the case of two terminal devices, the in-coverage scenario refers to a case where both terminal devices are within the network. Partial coverage means that one terminal device is within network coverage, but the other terminal device is out of network coverage. The out-of-coverage scenario refers to a case where both terminal devices are out of network coverage. A terminal device may transition between the in-coverage, partial coverage, and out-of-coverage scenarios.

[0022] For example, in Fig. 1, the side link between terminal device 1A and terminal device 1B is an in-coverage scenario, the side link between terminal device 1B and terminal device 1C is a partial coverage scenario, and the side link between terminal device 1C and terminal device 1D is an out-of-coverage scenario. Note that in the communication system according to this embodiment, these scenarios may change as the terminal device 1 moves. Furthermore, the configuration of the communication system according to this embodiment may be configured with some of the three scenarios. For example, it may be configured with only the out-of-coverage scenario.

[0023] The operating scenario for sidelink communication may be a PC5 interface only or a combination of a Uu interface and a PC5 interface. For example, a terminal device 1 and another terminal device 1 may be connected via a PC5 interface, and sidelink positioning may be performed via the PC5 interface. Alternatively, a base station device 3 and a terminal device 1A may be connected via a Uu interface, and terminal device 1A and terminal device 1B may be connected via a PC5 interface, and positioning may be performed by combining positioning via the Uu interface and sidelink positioning via the PC5 interface.

[0024] Network-based positioning is a solution in which the location of a terminal device is calculated by a network node. For network-based positioning, the terminal device may notify the network of information required for the calculation. For example, in network-based positioning, the terminal device may notify an LMF (Location Management Function) server of information required to calculate the location of the terminal device, and the LMF may calculate the location of the terminal device. UE-based positioning is a solution in which the location of the terminal device is calculated by the terminal device. The LTE Positioning Protocol (LPP) may be used to notify information between the terminal device and the LMF. Furthermore, the RRC protocol used between the base station device and the terminal device may provide for the transfer of LPP messages via the Uu interface.

[0025] 1 is merely an example, and the communication system according to this embodiment may include a terminal device that does not perform sidelink communication and / or sidelink positioning, and the terminal device performs processing corresponding to the functions and settings of the terminal device. Furthermore, for example, the communication system according to this embodiment may include a base station device that does not perform sidelink communication and / or sidelink positioning, and the base station device performs processing corresponding to the functions and settings of the base station device.

[0026] In V2X use cases, the UEs involved in positioning can be located in vehicles, roadside units (RSUs), or road user devices. Different UEs may have different power supply limitations. For example, a UE used for road users may have limited battery capacity compared to a UE located in a vehicle or roadside unit.

[0027] The base station device 3 may be configured to include one or more transmitting devices (or transmission points, transmitting devices, receiving devices, transmitting points, receiving points). [0121] The wireless transceiver 10 performs carrier sensing (LBT) before transmitting a signal to avoid signal collisions with other devices. The following types of LBT are used: Type 1: LBT that performs a random backoff process using a contention window with a variable size. Type 2A: LBT that does not perform a random backoff process and performs carrier sensing for 25 us before transmitting a signal. Type 2B: LBT that does not perform a random backoff process and performs carrier sensing for 16 us before transmitting a signal. Type 2C: LBT is not performed.

[0122] The wireless transceiver 10 transmits a signal after detecting that no other devices are transmitting (idle state) during listening, and does not transmit a signal when detecting that other devices are transmitting (busy state) during listening. The wireless transceiver 10 acquires a transmission opportunity and transmits when the LBT result is idle, and does not transmit when the LBT result is busy. The time of the transmission opportunity is called Channel Occupancy Time (COT). In LBT, the terminal device 1 monitors the channel before transmitting data, evaluates the idle channel, and transmits data only when it is confirmed that the channel is in an idle state.

[0123] When performing a random backoff process, the wireless transceiver unit 10 randomly generates a backoff counter value within the contention window size after the previous transmission. In random backoff, the terminal device 1 evaluates whether the channel is idle by detecting channel energy at each time interval using the random backoff counter. The wireless transceiver unit 10 waits until it confirms that the channel is idle for a certain period of time and performs carrier sensing (sensing) at each sensing slot time. If the carrier sensing result indicates that the channel is idle, the wireless transceiver unit 10 decrements the backoff counter value. If the carrier sensing result indicates that the channel is busy, the wireless transceiver unit 10 maintains the backoff counter value and waits until it confirms that the channel is idle for a certain period of time, and then performs carrier sensing. After repeating the above operations, the wireless transceiver unit 10 obtains access to the channel and can start transmitting signals on that channel after the backoff counter value reaches zero.

[0124] When HARQ-ACK feedback is applied to the sidelink, the radio transceiver unit 10 updates the contention window size based on the HARQ-ACK status. If the HARQ-ACK status is ACK, the radio transceiver unit 10 sets the contention window size to the minimum value. If the HARQ-ACK status is NACK, the radio transceiver unit 10 sets the contention window size to the next largest value. If the contention window size reaches the maximum configurable value, the radio transceiver unit 10 continues to use the maximum value even if the HARQ-ACK status is NACK. If the maximum contention window size has been used a predetermined number of times in succession, the radio transceiver unit 10 may set (or reset) the contention window size to the minimum value. The predetermined number of times may be set by the base station device 3 for the terminal device 1.

[0125] The initial value of the random backoff counter may be an integer between 0 and the contention window size. Before the random backoff counter is initialized, the contention window size is adjusted to control the average time required for the terminal device 1 to access the channel.

[0126] Before transmitting on the channel, the terminal device 1 performs listen-before-talk (LBT) on the channel. The terminal device 1 may adjust the time interval (amount of time) for performing the LBT. The terminal device 1 may select a random number between zero and the contention window size. If the channel is free for at least the time interval associated with the selected random number, the terminal device 1 may obtain a transmission opportunity and perform the transmission.

The radio resource control layer processing unit 16 sets one or more DCI formats to be monitored in the radio transceiver unit 10 (or the radio receiver unit 10a).

[0134] The radio resource control layer processing unit 16 performs settings related to the sidelink based on the RRC signaling received from the base station device 3. The radio resource control layer processing unit 16 sets parameters related to the sidelink notified from the base station device 3. The parameters related to the sidelink will be described later. The radio transceiver 10 (or the radio transmitter 10a) generates complex modulation symbols by encoding and modulating uplink and / or sidelink data. The radio transceiver 10 (or the radio transmitter 10a) converts the complex modulation symbols on OFDM symbols into OFDM-based baseband signals by converting them into time-continuous signals. The radio transceiver 10 (or the radio transmitter 10a) transmits the baseband signals to the base station device 3 or other terminal devices via radio frequencies. The radio transceiver 10 (or the radio transmitter 10a) may map the baseband signals to component carriers.

[0137] The radio transceiver 10 (or the radio receiver 10b) performs processing such as demodulation and decoding. The radio transceiver 10 (or the radio receiver 10b) may receive physical signals in the BWP (active downlink BWP) and / or sidelink BWP of the serving cell. The radio transceiver 10 (or the radio receiver 10b) separates, demodulates, and decodes the received signals and provides the decoded information to the upper layer processing unit 14. The radio transceiver 10 (or the radio receiver 10b) may sense the channel prior to transmitting a signal.

[0138] The RF unit 12 demodulates (down-converts) the signal received via the antenna unit 11 to a baseband signal and / or removes unwanted frequency components, and provides the processed analog signal to the baseband unit 13.

[0139] The baseband unit 13 converts the analog signal input from the RF unit 12 into a digital signal. The baseband unit 13 separates the portion corresponding to the CP from the digital signal. The baseband unit 13 performs a fast Fourier transform (FFT) on the digital signal from which the CP has been removed. The baseband unit 13 provides a frequency domain signal.

[0140] The baseband unit 13 performs an inverse fast Fourier transform (IFFT) on the uplink or sidelink data to generate OFDM symbols, adds CPs to the generated OFDM symbols, generates baseband digital signals, and converts the baseband digital signals into analog signals. The baseband unit 13 outputs the converted analog signals to the RF unit 12.

[0141] The RF unit 12 removes unnecessary frequency components from the analog signal input from the baseband unit 13, up-converts the analog signal to a carrier frequency, and transmits the signal via the antenna unit 11. The RF unit 12 may have a function of controlling transmission power. The RF unit 12 is also referred to as a transmission power control unit.

[0142] Here, we refer to physical signals (also called signals).

[0143] Physical signal is a generic term for downlink physical channels, downlink physical signals, uplink physical channels, uplink physical signals, sidelink physical channels, and sidelink physical signals.

[0144] The uplink physical channel may correspond to a set of resource elements carrying information originating from a higher layer (information provided from a higher layer) and / or uplink control information. The uplink physical channel may be a physical channel used in an uplink component carrier. The uplink physical channel may be transmitted from a terminal device 1. The uplink physical channel may be received by a base station device 3. In a wireless communication system according to one aspect of the present embodiment, at least some or all of a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH), a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH), and a physical random access channel (PRACH) may be used.

[0145] The PUCCH may be used to transmit uplink control information (UCI). The PUCCH may be sent to deliver (deliver, transmit, convey) the uplink control information. The uplink control information may be mapped (arranged) in the PUCCH. The terminal device 1 may transmit the PUCCH in which the uplink control information is mapped. The radio transceiver 30 of the base station device 3 may receive the PUCCH in which the uplink control information is mapped.

[0146] The uplink control information (uplink control information bits, uplink control information sequence, uplink control information type) includes at least a part or all of channel state information (CSI), a scheduling request (SR), and a hybrid automatic repeat request acknowledgement (HARQ-ACK).

[0147] The channel state information is conveyed by using channel state information bits or channel state information sequences. The scheduling request is also called scheduling request bits or scheduling request sequences. The HARQ-ACK information is also called HARQ-ACK information bits or HARQ-ACK information sequences.

[0148] The HARQ-ACK information may include a HARQ-ACK status corresponding to a transport block (TB, MAC Protocol Data Unit, DL-SCH, UL-SCH). The HARQ-ACK status may include an acknowledgement (ACK) and a negative acknowledgement (NACK) corresponding to the transport block. An acknowledgement (ACK) may indicate that the transport block has been correctly decoded. A negative acknowledgement (NACK) may indicate that the transport block has not been correctly decoded. The HARQ-ACK information may include a HARQ-ACK codebook containing one or more HARQ-ACK statuses (or HARQ-ACK bits).

[0149] For example, the correspondence between HARQ-ACK information and a transport block may refer to the correspondence between the HARQ-ACK information and a PDSCH used to transmit the corresponding transport block.

[0150] The HARQ-ACK status may indicate an ACK or NACK corresponding to one code block group (CBG) included in a transport block.

[0151] The scheduling request may be used to request at least PUSCH (or UL-SCH) resources for a new transmission. The scheduling request may be used to indicate either a positive SR or a negative SR. When the scheduling request indicates a positive SR, it may be referred to as a positive SR being sent. A positive SR may indicate that PUSCH (or UL-SCH) resources for the initial transmission are requested by the terminal device 1. A positive SR may indicate that an upper layer triggers a scheduling request. A positive SR may be transmitted when an upper layer instructs the sending of a scheduling request. When the scheduling request bit indicates a negative SR, it may be referred to as a negative SR being sent. A negative SR may indicate that PUSCH (or UL-SCH) resources for the initial transmission are not requested by the terminal device 1. A negative SR may indicate that an upper layer does not trigger a scheduling request. A negative SR may be transmitted when an upper layer does not instruct the sending of a scheduling request.

[0152] The channel state information may include at least some or all of a Channel Quality Indicator (CQI), a Precoder Matrix Indicator (PMI), and a Rank Indicator (RI). The CQI is an indicator related to the channel quality (e.g., propagation quality) or the quality of the physical channel, the PMI is an indicator related to the precoder, and the RI is an indicator related to the transmission rank (or the number of transmission layers).

[0153] The channel state information may be provided based at least on receiving one or more physical signals (e.g., one or more CSI-RSs) used for channel measurement. C v corresponds to the cyclic shift of the PRACH. RA corresponds to the length of the PRACH. RA may be 839, 139 or some other value. RA u is an integer in the range of −1. u is the sequence index of the PRACH. The terminal device 1 may transmit the PRACH. The base station device 3 may receive the PRACH.

[0179] A sidelink physical channel may correspond to a set of resource elements carrying information generated in a higher layer. A sidelink physical channel is a physical channel used in the sidelink. The sidelink physical channel may be transmitted by the radio transceiver unit 10. [0185] The PSFCH is used to transmit HARQ-ACK information corresponding to PSSCH reception. The terminal device 1 transmits the PSFCH in which the HARQ-ACK information is arranged. The terminal device 1 receives the PSFCH in which the HARQ-ACK information is arranged.

[0186] The sidelink physical signal may correspond to a set of resource elements. The sidelink physical signal does not have to be used to transmit information generated in a higher layer. The sidelink physical signal may be used to transmit information generated in a physical layer. The radio transceiver 10 may transmit the sidelink physical signal. The radio transceiver 10 may receive the sidelink physical signal. In the sidelink of the wireless communication system according to one aspect of the present embodiment, at least some or all of the following sidelink physical signals may be used: Sidelink Synchronization Signal (S-SS), Sidelink DMRS, Sidelink CSI-RS, Sidelink PT-RS, and Sidelink PRS (SL PRS).

[0187] The sidelink synchronization signal is used by the terminal device 1 to synchronize the sidelink frequency domain and / or time domain. The sidelink synchronization signal is a collective term for the sidelink primary synchronization signal (S-PSS) and the sidelink secondary synchronization signal (S-SSS).

[0188] The sidelink DMRS is a general term for the DMRS for the PSBCH, the DMRS for the PSCCH, and the DMRS for the PSSCH. The time domain pattern of the DMRS for the PSSCH is selected by the transmitting terminal device 1. The time domain patterns of the selection candidates are configured for each resource pool.

[0189] The sidelink CSI-RS is a reference signal used for sidelink channel measurement. It includes a time resource allocation (symbol position to be allocated), a frequency resource allocation, the number of antenna ports, and the number of layers for the CSI-RS. The terminal device 1 reports channel state information measured based on the sidelink CSI-RS using MAC CE.

[0190] Sidelink PT-RS may be supported only in the high frequency band (FR2). The time and frequency density of sidelink PT-RS is configured for each resource pool.

[0191] The sidelink PRS is a reference signal used in sidelink positioning to measure the position of the terminal device 1. Details of the sidelink PRS will be described later.

[0192] An AGC (Access Gain Control) signal may be used, and the AGC signal may be placed in the first OFDM symbol of the slot (first slot, second slot).

[0193] The terminal device 1 may use the uplink PUCCH to report information about the sidelink HARA-ACK received from the destination terminal device 1 to the base station device 3. A semi-static HARQ-ACK codebook or a dynamic HARQ-ACK codebook may be used.

[0194] The base station device 3 may notify the terminal device 1 of sidelink scheduling information using a DCI format. DCI format 3_0 is used for scheduling the PSCCH and PSSCH. DCI format 3_0 is configured to include some or all of the following information: Resource pool index Time gap HARQ process number NDI Subchannel allocation information SCI format 1-A field Timing indicator for feeding back HARQ-ACK of PSSCH corresponding to PSFCH reception PUCCH resource indicator Configuration index Sidelink allocation index counter

[0195] The resource pool index indicates the resource pool used for the scheduled PSCCH and PSSCH. The time gap indicates the time from reception of DCI format 3_0 to sidelink transmission. The subchannel allocation information indicates the subchannel used for the scheduled PSCCH and PSSCH. The SCI format 1-A field includes information on frequency resource allocation and time resource allocation of SCI format 1-A transmitted by the terminal device 1 on the PSCCH. The timing indicator for feeding back HARQ-ACK of PSSCH corresponding to PSFCH reception indicates the timing at which the terminal device 1 feeds back, using PUCCH, HARQ-ACK information acquired by receiving PSFCH from the remote terminal device 1. The PUCCH resource indicator indicates the PUCCH resource used to feed back HARQ-ACK information acquired by receiving PSFCH. The configuration index indicates the configuration of the sidelink configured grant. The sidelink allocation index counter indicates the number of sidelink allocations assigned by the base station device 3 to the terminal device 1 within a certain period.

[0196] Before transmitting a signal (channel access), the terminal device 1 senses the channel (carrier sense) to check whether other devices (e.g., a base station device, a terminal device, a WiFi terminal device, a WiFi access point, etc.) are transmitting. After transmitting the previous signal, the terminal device 1 randomly generates a backoff counter value within the range of the contention window size (CWS). The terminal device 1 waits until it confirms that the channel (LBT subband, RB set, for example, a band with a 20 MHz bandwidth) is idle, and performs carrier sense at each sensing slot time. If the channel is idle, the terminal device 1 sequentially decrements a counter value determined randomly within the contention window size (CWS), and after the counter value reaches 0, it obtains access to the channel and transmits a signal. After completing signal transmission, the terminal device 1, which communicates using HARQ-ACK feedback, updates the contention window size based on the HARQ-ACK feedback received from the terminal device 1 to which the signal is being transmitted. If the HARQ-ACK status is ACK, the terminal device 1 sets the contention window size to the minimum value. If the status of the HARQ-ACK is NACK, the terminal device 1 sets the contention window size to the next largest value. If the contention window size reaches the maximum value that can be set, the terminal device 1 continues to use the maximum value even if the status of the HARQ-ACK is NACK.

[0197] The terminal device 1 acquires a transmission opportunity (TxOP, Channel Occupancy) and performs transmission when the LBT result is idle, and does not perform transmission when the LBT result is busy (LBT-busy). The time of the transmission opportunity is called Channel Occupancy Time (COT). COT is the total time length between all transmissions within a transmission opportunity and gaps within a predetermined time, and may be less than or equal to a maximum COT (MCOT). MCOT may be determined based on a channel access priority class. The channel access priority class may be associated with a contention window size.

[0198] Channel access priority classes are defined and used. For example, four channel access priority classes (channel access priority class 1, channel access priority class 2, channel access priority class 3, and channel access priority class 4) are defined and used. In channel access priority class 1, the minimum contention window size is 3 slots, the maximum contention window size is 7 slots, and there are two allowed contention window sizes: {3 slots, 7 slots}. In channel access priority class 2, the minimum contention window size is 7 slots, the maximum contention window size is 15 slots, and there are two allowed contention window sizes: {7 slots, 15 slots}. In channel access priority class 3, the minimum contention window size is 15 slots, the maximum contention window size is 1023 slots, and there are seven allowed contention window sizes: {15 slots, 31 slots, 63 slots, 127 slots, 255 slots, 511 slots, 1023 slots}. In channel access priority class 4, the minimum contention window size is 15 slots, the maximum contention window size is 1023 slots, and there are seven permitted contention window sizes: {15 slots, 31 slots, 63 slots, 127 slots, 255 slots, 511 slots, 1023 slots}. Note that the contention window size may represent the number of counts per slot.

[0199] If the terminal device 1 determines that the channel is busy through carrier sensing during the sensing slot time, it senses whether the channel is idle in the defer interval. The defer interval consists of 16 us and multiple sensing slots. The number of sensing slots that make up the defer interval depends on the channel access priority class. In channel access priority class 1, about two sensing slots are configured in the defer interval. In channel access priority class 2, about two sensing slots are configured in the defer interval. In channel access priority class 3, about three sensing slots are configured in the defer interval. In channel access priority class 4, about seven sensing slots are configured in the defer interval. If the terminal device 1 determines that the channel is busy in the defer interval, it again determines whether the channel is idle in a new defer interval. If the terminal device 1 determines that the channel is idle in the defer interval, it decrements the counter value set based on the contention window size and continues to perform carrier sensing every sensing slot time to determine whether the channel is idle.

[0200] For example, for channel access priority class 1, a maximum COT of 2 ms is used. For example, for channel access priority class 2, a maximum COT of 3 ms is used. For example, for channel access priority class 2, a maximum COT of 4 ms is used. For example, for channel access priority class 3, a maximum COT of 6 ms is used. For example, for channel access priority class 3, a maximum COT of 8 ms is used. For example, for channel access priority class 3, a maximum COT of 10 ms is used. For example, for channel access priority class 4, a maximum COT of 6 ms is used. For example, for channel access priority class 4, a maximum COT of 8 ms is used. For example, for channel access priority class 4, a maximum COT of 10 ms is used.

[0201] In sidelink resource allocation mode 2, the number of reserved resources is configured or pre-configured by RRC signaling. The second or third one-unit resource other than the first one-unit resource on the time axis of a series of resources is the reserved resource. The interval (in ms) between the first one-unit resource and the second one-unit resource, and the interval between the second one-unit resource and the third one-unit resource are configured or pre-configured by RRC signaling.

[0202] In sidelink resource allocation mode 2, if the RSRP of the PSSCH or the RSRP of the PSCCH transmitted and detected by another terminal device 1 is greater than a set value, the terminal device 1 excludes the reserved resource corresponding to that PSSCH or PSCCH from the resources selected and reserved by the terminal device 1 itself.

[0203] FIG. 7 is a diagram showing an example of the configuration of an SS / PBCH block. In FIG. 7, the horizontal axis represents the time domain (OFDM symbol index l sym ), with the vertical axis representing the frequency domain. The black blocks represent a set of resource elements for the PSS. The block on the upper right diagonal line in FIG. 7 represents a set of resource elements for the SSS. In the 1st to 240th subcarriers in the second OFDM symbol, the PBCH is assigned to subcarriers not assigned a DMRS for the PBCH. In the 1st to 48th subcarriers in the third OFDM symbol, the PBCH is assigned to subcarriers to which DMRS for the PBCH is not assigned. In the 193rd to 240th subcarriers in the third OFDM symbol, the PBCH is assigned to subcarriers to which DMRS for the PBCH is not assigned. In the 1st to 240th subcarriers in the fourth OFDM symbol, the PBCH is assigned to subcarriers to which DMRS for the PBCH is not assigned.

[0205] In one SS / PBCH, the antenna ports for the PSS, SSS, PBCH, and DMRS for the PBCH may be the same.

[0206] The PBCH may be estimated from the DMRS for that PBCH. For DMRS for the PBCH, the channel on which a symbol for the PBCH on an antenna port and a symbol for the DMRS on that antenna port are transmitted can be estimated from the channel on which the latter symbol is transmitted only if the two symbols, that is, a symbol for the PBCH on the antenna port and a symbol for the DMRS on that antenna port, are included in SS / PBCH blocks transmitted in the same slot and have the same SS / PBCH block index.

[0207] DL DMRS is a collective term for DMRS for PBCH, DMRS for PDSCH, and DMRS for PDCCH.

[0208] The set of antenna ports for DMRS for PDSCH (DMRS related to PDSCH, DMRS included in PDSCH, DMRS corresponding to PDSCH) is given based on the set of antenna ports for PDSCH. The set of antenna ports for DMRS for PDSCH may be the same as the set of antenna ports for PDSCH.

[0209] The transmission of the PDSCH and the transmission of the DMRS for the PDSCH may be indicated (scheduled) by one DCI format. The PDSCH and the DMRS for the PDSCH may be collectively referred to as the PDSCH. The transmission of the PDSCH may be the transmission of the PDSCH and the DMRS for the PDSCH.

[0210] A PDSCH may be estimated from a DMRS for that PDSCH. For a DMRS for a PDSCH, the channel on which a symbol for a PDSCH on an antenna port is transmitted can be estimated from the channel on which a symbol for a DMRS on that antenna port is transmitted only if the two symbols are in the same resource on which the PDSCH is scheduled, in the same slot, and in the same precoding resource group (PRG).

[0211] The antenna port of a DMRS for a PDCCH (a DMRS related to a PDCCH, a DMRS included in a PDCCH, a DMRS corresponding to a PDCCH) may be the same as the antenna port for that PDCCH.

[0212] A PDCCH may be estimated from a DMRS for the PDCCH. For a DMRS for a PDCCH, the channel on which the PDCCH symbol is transmitted can be estimated from the channel on which the DMRS symbol is transmitted only if the two symbols, a symbol for the PDCCH on a certain antenna port and a symbol for the DMRS on that antenna port, are within resources (i.e., resources within one REG bundle) for which the terminal device may assume the same precoding is used.

[0213] The broadcast channel (BCH), uplink shared channel (UL-SCH), and downlink shared channel (DL-SCH) are transport channels. Channels used in the MAC layer are called transport channels. The unit of transport channels used in the MAC layer is also called a transport block or MAC protocol data unit (MAC PDU). In the MAC layer, HARQ control is performed for each transport block. A transport block is a unit of data delivered by the MAC layer to the physical layer. In the physical layer, a transport block is mapped to a codeword, and modulation processing is performed for each codeword.

[0214] The UL-SCH and DL-SCH are provided to each serving cell. The BCH is provided for the PCell. The BCH does not necessarily have to be provided for the PSCell and SCell.

[0215] The broadcast control channel (BCCH), common control channel (CCCH), and dedicated control channel (DCCH) are logical channels. The BCCH is an RRC layer channel used to deliver MIB and system information. The CCCH may be used for a terminal device 1 that is not connected by RRC. The DCCH may be used to transmit dedicated RRC messages to at least the terminal device 1. The DCCH may be used for a terminal device 1 in an RRC-connected mode.

[0216] An RRC message includes one or more RRC parameters (information elements, higher layer parameters). For example, an RRC message may include a MIB. For example, an RRC message may include system information (system information block (SIB), MIB). SIB is a generic term for various types of SIBs (e.g., SIB1, SIB2, etc.). For example, an RRC message may include a message corresponding to a CCCH. For example, an RRC message may include a message corresponding to a DCCH. An RRC message is a generic term for a common RRC message and a dedicated RRC message.

[0217] The BCCH in the logical channels may be mapped to the BCH or DL-SCH in the transport channels, the CCCH in the logical channels may be mapped to the DL-SCH or UL-SCH in the transport channels, and the DCCH in the logical channels may be mapped to the DL-SCH or UL-SCH in the transport channels.

[0218] The UL-SCH in the transport channels may be mapped to the PUSCH in the physical channels, the DL-SCH in the transport channels may be mapped to the PDSCH in the physical channels, and the BCH in the transport channels may be mapped to the PBCH in the physical channels.

[0219] The upper layer parameters are parameters included in an RRC message or a MAC control element (MAC CE). The upper layer parameters are a collective term for information included in the MIB, system information, CCCH-related messages, DCCH-related messages, and MAC CE. When the upper layer parameters are included in an RRC message, they may be referred to as RRC parameters or RRC configurations.

[0220] The higher layer parameters may be cell-specific parameters or UE-specific parameters. The cell-specific parameters are parameters including common configurations within a cell. The UE-specific parameters are parameters including configurations that may be set differently for each UE.

[0221] The base station device may instruct a change in the cell-specific parameters by reconfiguration with random access. The UE may change the cell-specific parameters before triggering random access. The base station device may instruct a change in the UE-specific parameters by reconfiguration with or without random access. The UE may change the UE-specific parameters before or after random access.

[0223] Cell search is a procedure used by the terminal device 1 to synchronize with a cell in the time domain and / or frequency domain and to detect a physical cell identity. The terminal device 1 may detect the physical cell identity by synchronizing with the cell in the time domain and / or frequency domain through cell search.

[0224] The sequence of PSSs is given based on at least a physical cell identifier. The sequence of SSSs is given based on at least a physical cell identifier.

[0225] The SS / PBCH block candidate specifies a resource where an SS / PBCH block may be transmitted. The SS / PBCH block may be transmitted in the resource specified as the SS / PBCH block candidate. The base station device 3 may transmit the SS / PBCH block in the SS / PBCH block candidate. The terminal device 1 may receive (detect) the SS / PBCH block in the SS / PBCH block candidate.

[0226] The set of SS / PBCH block candidates within a half radio frame is also referred to as an SS burst set. The SS burst set is also referred to as a transmission window, SS transmission window, or discovery reference signal (DRS) transmission window. The SS burst set is a general term that includes at least a first SS burst set and a second SS burst set.

[0227] The base station device 3 transmits SS / PBCH blocks of one or more indexes in a predetermined cycle. The terminal device 1 may detect at least one SS / PBCH block among the SS / PBCH blocks of one or more indexes. The terminal device 1 may attempt to decode the PBCH included in the SS / PBCH block.

[0228] Random access is a procedure that includes at least some or all of message 1, message 2, message 3, and message 4.

[0229] Message 1 is a procedure for transmitting a PRACH by the terminal device 1. The terminal device 1 transmits a PRACH in one PRACH opportunity selected from one or more PRACH opportunities based at least on the index of an SS / PBCH block candidate detected based on a cell search.

[0230] Message 2 is a procedure in which the terminal device 1 attempts to detect DCI format 1_0 with a cyclic redundancy check (CRC) scrambled by a random access-radio network temporary identifier (RA-RNTI). The terminal device 1 may attempt to detect DCI format 1_0 in a search space set.

[0231] Message 3 (Msg3) is a procedure for transmitting a PUSCH scheduled by a random access response grant included in DCI format 1_0 detected in the procedure of message 2. The random access response grant is indicated by a MAC CE included in a PDSCH scheduled by DCI format 1_0.

[0233] Message 3 PUSCH retransmissions are scheduled with DCI format 0_0 with CRC scrambled by the Temporary C-RNTI (TC-RNTI).

[0234] Message 4 is a procedure for attempting to detect DCI format 1_0 with a CRC scrambled by either C-RNTI or TC-RNTI. The terminal device 1 receives a PDSCH scheduled based on DCI format 1_0. The PDSCH includes a collision resolution identifier.

[0235] Data communication is a general term for downlink communication and uplink communication.

[0236] In data communication, the terminal device 1 attempts to detect a PDCCH (attempts to monitor a PDCCH, or monitors a PDCCH) in resources identified based on at least one or both of a control resource set and a search base set. This is also referred to as "the terminal device 1 attempts to detect a PDCCH in a control resource set," "the terminal device 1 attempts to detect a PDCCH in a search space set," "the terminal device 1 attempts to detect a PDCCH candidate in a control resource set," "the terminal device 1 attempts to detect a PDCCH candidate in a search space set," "the terminal device 1 attempts to detect a DCI format in a control resource set," or "the terminal device 1 attempts to detect a DCI format in a search space set." Monitoring the PDCCH may be equivalent to monitoring the DCI format in the PDCCH.

[0237] A control resource set is a set of resources that is set by the number of resource blocks and a predetermined number of OFDM symbols in a slot.

[0238] The set of reroutes for the control resource set may be specified by a higher layer parameter, and the number of OFDM symbols included in the control resource set may be specified by a higher layer parameter.

[0239] The PDCCH may also be referred to as a PDCCH candidate.

[0240] A search space set is defined as a set of PDCCH candidates, which may be a common search space (CSS) set or a UE-specific search space (USS) set.

[0241] The CSS set is a collective term for the Type 0 PDCCH common search space set, Type 0a PDCCH common search space set, Type 1 PDCCH common search space set, Type 2 PDCCH common search space set, and Type 3 PDCCH common search space set. The USS set is also called the UE-specific PDCCH search space set.

[0242] The Type 0 PDCCH common search space set can be used as the common search space set with index 0. The Type 0 PDCCH common search space set may be the common search space set with index 0.

[0243] A search space set is associated with (contained in, corresponds to) a control resource set. The index of the control resource set associated with the search space set may be indicated by a higher layer parameter.

[0244] For a search space set, some or all of 6A to 6C may be indicated by at least higher layer parameters. 6A is a PDCCH monitoring period. 6B is a PDCCH monitoring pattern within a slot. 6C is a PDCCH monitoring offset.

[0245] A monitoring occasion for a search space set may correspond to one or more OFDM symbols to which the first OFDM symbol of the control resource set associated with the search space set is assigned.

[0246] The monitoring opportunity for a search space set may correspond to a resource identified by a first OFDM symbol of a control resource set associated with the search space set. The monitoring opportunity for a search space set may be based on at least some or all of the following: a PDCCH monitoring periodicity, a PDCCH monitoring pattern within a slot, and a PDCCH monitoring offset.

[0247] 8 is a diagram showing an example of a monitoring opportunity of a search space set according to one aspect of the present embodiment. In FIG. 8, search space set 91 and search space set 92 are sets of primary cells 301, search space set 93 is a set of secondary cells 302, and search space set 94 is a set of secondary cells 303.

[0248] In FIG. 8, the blocks painted white are search space set 91, the blocks painted along the upper right diagonal line are search space set 92, the blocks painted along the upper left diagonal line are search space set 93, and the blocks painted black are search space set 94.

That is, the monitoring opportunity for search space set 94 corresponds to the first OFDM symbol (OFDM symbol #0) in the odd-numbered slot.

[0253] The Type-0 PDCCH common search space set may use a DCI format that includes a CRC (Cyclic Redundancy Check) sequence scrambled by at least SI-RNTI (System Information-Radio Network Temporary Identifier).

[0254] The Type-0a PDCCH common search space set may use a DCI format that includes a CRC sequence scrambled by at least the SI-RNTI.

[0255] The Type-1 PDCCH common search space set may use a DCI format that includes at least a CRC sequence scrambled by a Random Access-Radio Network Temporary Identifier (RA-RNTI) or a CRC sequence scrambled by a Temporary Cell-Radio Network Temporary Identifier (TC-RNTI).

[0256] The Type-2 PDCCH common search space set may use a DCI format having a CRC sequence scrambled by a P-RNTI (Paging-Radio Network Temporary Identifier).

[0257] The Type-3 PDCCH common search space set may use a DCI format having a CRC sequence scrambled by a Cell-Radio Network Temporary Identifier (C-RNTI).

[0258] The UE-specific search space set may use a DCI format that includes a CRC sequence scrambled by at least the C-RNTI.

[0259] In downlink communication, the terminal device 1 detects a downlink DCI format. The detected downlink DCI format is used for at least PDSCH resource allocation. The detected downlink DCI format may be referred to as downlink allocation. The terminal device 1 attempts to receive the PDSCH. Based on the PUCCH resource indicated based on the detected downlink DCI format, the terminal device 1 may notify the base station device 3 of a HARQ-ACK corresponding to the PDSCH (a HARQ-ACK corresponding to a transport block included in the PDSCH).

[0260] In uplink communication, the terminal device 1 may detect an uplink DCI format. The detected uplink DCI format is used for allocating resources for at least the PUSCH.

[0261] PUSCH transmissions may be dynamically scheduled by the UL grant of the DCI, or the transmissions may correspond to a configured grant Type 1 or grant Type 2. Configured grant Type 1 PUSCH transmissions are semi-statically configured to operate upon reception of the configuredGrantConfig higher layer parameters including rrc-ConfiguredUplinkGrant without detection of a DCI UL grant. Configured grant Type 2 PUSCH transmissions are semi-statically scheduled for a valid activation DCI UL grant following reception of the configuredGrantConfig higher layer parameters without rrc-ConfiguredUplinkGrant. If configuredGrantConfigToAddModList is configured, configured grant Type 1 and / or configured grant Type 2 may be activated simultaneously with a valid BWP of the serving cell.

[0262] Figure 9 shows a sidelink RRC reconfiguration procedure. In Figure 9, the purpose of this procedure is to modify the PC5-RRC connection, such as establishing / modifying / releasing a sidelink DRB, (re)configuring NR sidelink measurements and reports, and (re)configuring sidelink CSI-RS resources and CSI reporting latency bounds. The procedure in Figure 9 may also be to (re)configure sidelink positioning measurements and reports and (re)configure SL PRS resources.

[0263] In S901 of Figure 9, a UE transmits an RRCReconfigurationSidelink message to another UE. In Figure 9A, the other UE that receives S901 transmits an RRCReconfigurationCompleteSidelink if the PC5-RRC reconfiguration is successful (S902). Upon receiving the RRCReconfigurationCompleteSidelink, the UE may consider applying the configuration in the corresponding RRCReconfigurationSidelink message. In Figure 9B, the other UE that receives S901 transmits an RRCReconfigurationfailureSidelink if the PC5-RRC reconfiguration fails (S903).

[0264] FIG. 9 may be used as a procedure for PC5 connection in the case of sidelink positioning. In FIG. 9 , when sidelink positioning is performed, the Tx UE (UE transmitting the SL PRS) may transmit RRCReconfigurationSidelink. Upon receiving RRCReconfigurationCompleteSidelink, the Tx UE may consider applying the configuration in the corresponding RRCReconfigurationSidelink message. Upon receiving RRCReconfigurationCompleteSidelink, the Tx UE may determine that a PC5 connection exists with the UE that transmitted RRCReconfigurationCompleteSidelink. On the other hand, upon not receiving RRCReconfigurationCompleteSidelink, the Tx UE may determine that a PC5 connection does not exist with the corresponding UE. For example, if the Tx UE receives RRCReconfigurationfailureSidelink, if there is no response to the message, or if a procedure for PC5 connection has not been initiated, the Tx UE may determine that a PC5 connection does not exist.

[0265] The procedure for PC5 connection in the case of sidelink positioning is not limited to that shown in Fig. 9 and may be a procedure for connecting a sidelink between a Tx UE and another UE to initiate sidelink positioning. For example, the procedure is not limited to the message shown in Fig. 9 and may be another message for sidelink positioning.

[0266] Here, the operation of sidelink positioning according to this embodiment will be described. Sidelink positioning may be performed by combining part of the processing in sidelink communication described above with the sidelink positioning operation described below. In this embodiment, the terminal device 1 transmitting the SL PRS is referred to as Tx UE, and the terminal device 1 receiving the signal transmitted from the Tx UE is referred to as Rx UE. The Rx UE performs sidelink positioning with the Tx UE using the SL PRS received from the Tx UE.

[0267] When positioning is performed using both the Uu interface and the PC5 interface, the processing between the base station device and the terminal device may use the processing in the uplink and downlink described above. For example, the terminal device 1 may perform positioning using the PRS via the Uu interface in addition to sidelink positioning via the PC5 interface.

[0268] The SL PRS (Sidelink-Positioning Reference Signal) is a reference signal used to measure the position of the terminal device 1 in sidelink positioning. The SL PRS is included in the sidelink physical signal. The radio transceiver 10 (or the radio transmitter 10a) may transmit the SL PRS included in the sidelink physical signal. The radio transceiver 10 (or the radio receiver 10b) may receive the SL PRS included in the sidelink physical signal. The SL PRS may be mapped in slot units within a resource pool. The resources to which the SL PRS are mapped may be referred to as SL PRS resources. The SL PRS resources may not include AGC symbols and GAP symbols.

[0269] The SL PRS resource may be configured by an SL PRS resource ID, the number of SL PRS symbols, the SL PRS symbol offset, comb size, resource element offset (RE offset), the SL PRS frequency domain allocation, etc. The SL PRS symbol offset may also be referred to as the SL PRS starting symbol. The resource element offset may also be referred to as the comb offset. Some or all of the SL PRS resource ID, the number of SL PRS symbols, the SL PRS symbol offset, comb size, resource element offset, and the SL PRS frequency domain allocation may be referred to as SL PRS configuration information (first information). The SL PRS configuration information may be information required for configuring the SL PRS. The SL PRS configuration information may be provided by higher layer parameters, configured by the LMF, configured in advance in the terminal device, or configured by the terminal device (e.g., Tx UE). Furthermore, some information of the SL PRS configuration information may be configured by higher layer parameters, and other information may be configured by means other than the higher layer parameters.

[0270] The SL PRS resource ID may be an ID for identifying an SL PRS resource. The SL PRS resource ID may be associated with information required for configuring an SL PRS. For example, one SL PRS resource ID may be associated with some or all of the following information: the number of SL PRS symbols, the SL PRS symbol offset, the comb size, the resource element offset, and the frequency domain allocation of the SL PRS. This allows the information required for configuring an SL PRS within an SL PRS resource to be identified using the SL PRS resource ID.

[0271] The number of SL PRS symbols is the number of SL PRSs mapped in the symbol direction. For example, the number of SL PRS symbols may be 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, or some or all of 12. The number of SLPRS symbols may also be set by combining the number of SL PRS symbols and the comb size.

[0272] The symbol offset of the SL PRS is an offset indicating the position of the first symbol to which the SL PRS is mapped within a slot. The symbol offset of the SL PRS may be referred to as the SL PRS starting symbol. For example, the symbol offset of the SL PRS may be an offset from the first symbol number of the resource pool to which the SL PRS is mapped. For example, the symbol offset of the SL PRS may be a part or all of a value from 0 to 12. For example, the symbol offset of the SL PRS may be 1 st It may be the number of symbols in the stage SCI.

[0273] The comb size is the interval in the frequency direction to which the SL PRSs are mapped. For example, the comb size may be some or all of 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, or 12.

[0274] The resource element offset is an offset indicating the position in the frequency direction to which the SL PRS is mapped. The resource element offset may be a positive integer smaller than the comb size. For example, when the comb size is 4, the resource element offsets are 0, 1, 2, and 3.

[0275] The SL PRS sequence may be generated using a pseudo-random sequence. The SL PRS sequence may be initialized using at least a slot number, a symbol number, and an SL PRS sequence ID. The SL PRS sequence ID may be provided by a higher layer parameter, configured by the LMF, pre-configured in the terminal device, or calculated by the terminal device.

[0276] The resource pool applied to sidelink positioning may be a dedicated resource pool and / or a shared resource pool. The dedicated resource pool may be a resource pool applied only to sidelink positioning. The shared resource pool may be a resource pool applied to both sidelink communication and sidelink positioning. The slot configuration of the dedicated resource pool and the slot configuration of the shared resource pool may be different. For example, the slot of the dedicated resource pool may be a slot that includes at least a PSCCH and a SL PRS, and one slot may include at least one PSCCH and a SL PRS. st For example, a slot of the shared resource pool may include at least a PSCCH, a PSSCH, and a SL PRS, and one st stage SCI and 2 nd stage SCI may be included.

[0277] 1 st The stage SCI format may include SCI format 1-B. SCI format 1-B is used for SL-PRS scheduling. SCI format 1-B may include a field indicating priority, a source ID, a destination ID, a cast type indicator (unicast, broadcast, groupcast), and a field indicating a resource reservation period. ndThe stage SCI format may include SCI format 2-D, which is used for decoding the PSSCH and scheduling the SL-PRS. SCI format 2-D may include an HARQ process number, NDI, RV (Redundancy version), Source ID, Destination ID, and HARQ feedback enable / disable indicator.

[0278] 10 is a diagram showing an example of PSCCH resource configuration according to one aspect of this embodiment. Fig. 10 shows an example in which an AGC symbol, a PSCCH resource, an SL PRS resource, and a Guard Symbol are mapped within one slot. The PSCCH resource is a resource to which the PSCCH is mapped. The PSCCH resource set is one or more PSCCH resources and may be referred to as a first resource set. The number of PSCCH resources included in the PSCCH resource set may be the number of terminal devices that multiplex SL PRSs in the same slot, or may be less than the number of terminal devices that multiplex SL PRSs in the same slot. The SL PRS resource is a resource to which the SL PRS is mapped. The SL PRS resource set is one or more SL PRS resources and may be referred to as a second resource set. The number of SL PRS resources included in the SL PRS resource set may be the number of terminal devices that multiplex SL PRSs in the same slot, or may be less than the number of terminal devices that multiplex SL PRSs in the same slot. The Guard Symbol may also be referred to as a GAP Symbol. In addition to the symbol positions shown in FIG. 10, the AGC Symbol may be arranged in a symbol between the PSCCH resource set and the SL PRS resource set.

[0279] The subcarrier positions (or PRBs) to which each PSCCH resource is mapped may be configured based on second information. The second information may be information for configuring the subcarrier positions (or PRBs) to which each PSCCH resource in a PSCCH resource set is mapped, or information indicating the number of PRBs for each PSCCH resource. The second information may be configured by a higher layer parameter, by an LMF, pre-configured in the terminal device, or configured by the terminal device. For example, the second information may be a value configured in sl-FreqResourcePSCCH of the SL-ResourcePool information element, or a value newly configured using the value configured in sl-FreqResourcePSCCH. The SL-ResourcePool information element is configuration information for a resource pool for NR sidelink communication. The sl-FreqResourcePSCCH indicates the number of PRBs for the PSCCH in the resource pool.

[0280] 10A illustrates an example in which the PSCCH resource set includes four PSCCH resources (a first PSCCH resource, a second PSCCH resource, a third PSCCH resource, and a fourth PSCCH resource). For example, if the number of terminal devices that multiplex SL PRSs in the same slot is four, the PSCCHs of the respective terminal devices may be assigned to the respective PSCCH resources. In FIG. 10A, the respective PSCCH resources may be contiguous in the subcarrier direction with the same number of PRBs. For example, if sl-FreqResourcePSCCH is set to 10, the number of PRBs of each PSCCH resource may be 10. In this case, the number of PRBs set in sl-FreqResourcePSCCH may be set as the second information, and the second information may be 10. Furthermore, the second information may be information indicating the subcarrier position (PRB) of each PSCCH resource in FIG. 10A. The information indicating the subcarrier position may be the start position of each PSCCH resource, the start position and end position, or the start position and the number of PRBs.

[0281] 10B shows an example in which the PSCCH resource set includes one PSCCH resource (the fifth PSCCH resource). The fifth PSCCH resource may include a PSCCH for a terminal device that multiplexes SL PRSs in the same slot. For example, if sl-FreqResourcePSCCH is set to 20, the number of PRBs in the PSCCH resource may be 20. In this case, the number of PRBs set in sl-FreqResourcePSCCH may be set as the second information, and the second information may be 20. Furthermore, the second information may be information indicating the subcarrier positions (PRBs) of the PSCCH resource in FIG. 10B. The information indicating the subcarrier positions may be the start position of the PSCCH resource, the start position and end position, or the start position and the number of PRBs.

[0282] 11A is a diagram illustrating an example of PSCCH resource configuration according to one aspect of this embodiment. FIG. 11A illustrates an example in which a PSCCH resource set includes four PSCCH resources. For example, if the number of terminal devices multiplexing SL PRSs in the same slot is four, the PSCCHs of the respective terminal devices may be assigned to the respective PSCCH resources. In FIG. 11A, an offset is set between the PSCCH resources in the subcarrier direction, and the PSCCH resources may be mapped with the same number of PRBs in the subcarrier direction. For example, if sl-FreqResourcePSCCH is set to 10, the number of PRBs in each PSCCH resource may be 10. If the candidates for sl-FreqResourcePSCCH are 10, 12, 15, 20, and 25, the offset between the PSCCH resources may be set to a value obtained by subtracting the number of PRBs in the PSCCH resource from 25, which is the maximum value among these candidates. In other words, the offset is set so that the sum of the number of PRBs in one PSCCH resource and the offset is 25. In this case, the number of PRBs set in sl-FreqResourcePSCCH may be set as the second information, and the second information may be 10. In this case, the sum of the number of PRBs and the offset of one PSCCH resource may be a candidate value other than 25, and in this case, the number of PRBs and the offset value may be set as the second information. The offset value may be set by a higher layer parameter, may be set by an LMF, may be set in advance in the terminal device, or may be set by the terminal device. In this case, the second information may be information indicating the subcarrier position (PRB) of the PSCCH resource in FIG. 11A. The information indicating the subcarrier position may be the start position of the PSCCH resource, may be the start position and end position, or may be the start position and the number of PRBs.

[0283] Figure 11B shows an example where the PSCCH resource set includes four PSCCH resources. For example, if the number of terminal devices that multiplex SL PRSs in the same slot is four, the PSCCHs of the respective terminal devices may be assigned to the respective PSCCH resources. In Figure 11B, one PSCCH resource (first PSCCH resource) may have a different number of PRBs from the other PSCCH resources (second PSCCH resource, third PSCCH resource, and fourth PSCCH resource). For example, if sl-FreqResourcePSCCH is set to 10, the number of PRBs of the first PSCCH resource may be 10, and the number of PRBs of the other PSCCH resources may be a number less than 10. In this case, the number of PRBs of one PSCCH resource may be set to 10, and the number of PRBs of the other PSCCH resources may be set to a number less than 10. In this case, the number of PRBs of one PSCCH resource may be set to 10, and the number of PRBs of the other PSCCH resources may be set to a number less than 10. In this case, the second information may be set to the number of PRBs set in sl-FreqResourcePSCCH, and the second information may be set to 10. Furthermore, the second information may be information indicating the subcarrier positions (PRBs) of the PSCCH resource in Fig. 11B. The information indicating the subcarrier positions may be the start position of the PSCCH resource, the start position and end position, or the start position and the number of PRBs.

[0284] In Figures 10 and 11, the value set in sl-FreqResourcePSCCH may be the number of PRBs in the PSCCH resource set. For example, if sl-FreqResourcePSCCH is set to 20, the number of PRBs in the PSCCH resource set may be set to 20. In the case of Figure 10A, the number of PRBs in one PSCCH resource may be 5 so that the four PSCCH resources have the same number of PRBs. In the case of Figure 11A, the number of PRBs in one PSCCH resource may be 5, or the sum of one PSCCH resource and the offset may be 5. In the case of Figure 11B, the number of PRBs in the four PSCCH resources may be set to 20, and may be set to be smaller than the number of PRBs in the first PSCCH resource than in other PSCCH resources (other than the first PSCCH resource). Note that although Figures 10 and 11 have been described with respect to a case where the PSCCH resource set includes four PSCCH resources, the present invention is also applicable to cases where the number of PSCCH resources is other than four.

[0285] Hereinafter, a method for configuring the correspondence relationship between PSCCH resources and SL PRS resources will be described with reference to Figures 12 to 17. The correspondence relationship between PSCCH resources and SL PRS resources may be a single correspondence relationship, or multiple correspondence relationship patterns may be prepared, and one correspondence relationship may be selected from the multiple correspondence relationship patterns. The correspondence relationship between PSCCH resources and SL PRS resources may be included in SL PRS configuration information (first information). The correspondence relationship between PSCCH resources and SL PRS resources may be configured by higher layer parameters, by the LMF, or may be configured in advance in the terminal device, or may be configured by the terminal device. Associating PSCCH resources and SL PRS resources one-to-one based on a configured single correspondence relationship may be referred to as one-to-one mapping. Information on whether the correspondence relationship between PSCCH resources and SL PRS resources is one-to-one mapping may be included in the SL PRS configuration information. In Figures 12 to 17, the subcarrier direction position or the number of PRBs of each PSCCH resource may be configured using the configuration methods of Figures 10 and 11. Furthermore, in FIGS. 12 to 17, the number of symbols of the SL PRS, the symbol offset of the SL PRS, the comb size, the resource element offset, the allocation of the frequency domain of the SL PRS, etc. are merely examples and may be different values.

[0286] Fig. 12 is a diagram showing an example of a correspondence relationship between PSCCH resources and SL PRS resources according to one aspect of the embodiment. Fig. 12 shows an example of a case where SL PRSs of three terminal devices are multiplexed in the same slot. In Fig. 12A, the PSCCH resource set includes a first PSCCH resource, a second PSCCH resource, and a third PSCCH resource. In Fig. 12A, the SL PRS resource set is the first SL PRS resource. Fig. 12B is a diagram showing an example of mapping each SL PRS to the first SL PRS resource of Fig. 12A. In Fig. 12B, the first PSCCH resource, the second PSCCH resource, and the third PSCCH resource of Fig. 12A are mapped to the PSCCH resource. In Fig. 12B, the first SL PRS resource is an SL PRS resource into which SL PRSs of three terminal devices are comb-multiplexed, and this is an example where the comb size is 3. In this case, the correspondence relationship between the PSCCH resources and the SL PRS resources may be set such that the SL PRS of the terminal device corresponding to the first PSCCH resource is the resource elements shaded in black in FIG. 12B, the SL PRS of the terminal device corresponding to the second PSCCH resource is the resource elements shaded with diagonal lines in FIG. 12B, and the SL PRS of the terminal device corresponding to the third PSCCH resource is the resource elements shaded with grid lines in FIG. 12B.

[0287] In Figure 12, the correspondence between PSCCH resources and SL PRS resources may be indicated by the values of a first index and a second index. A first index may be assigned to each PSCCH resource in a PSCCH resource set in ascending order of subcarrier index. For example, the first index of the first PSCCH resource may be set to 1, the first index of the second PSCCH resource may be set to 2, and the first index of the third PSCCH resource may be set to 3. In Figure 12B, a second index may be assigned to each SL-PRS resource in an SL-PRS resource set in ascending order of Comb offset. For example, the second index of the SL PRSs shaded in black may be set to 1, the second index of the SL PRSs shaded in diagonal lines may be set to 2, and the second index of the SL PRSs shaded in grid lines may be set to 3. In this case, if the values of the first index and the second index are the same, the corresponding PSCCH resource and SL PRS resource may be interpreted as resources of the same terminal device. For example, when the first index and the second index are 2, the second PSCCH resource and the shaded SL PRS resource are resources of the same terminal device.

[0288] 12 , with regard to the second index, the second index of the SL PRS shaded in black may be set to 2, the second index of the SL PRS shaded in diagonal lines may be set to 3, and the second index of the SL PRS shaded in grid lines may be set to 1, or other combinations may be used. In this way, the PSCCH resources and the SL PRS resources may be associated with each other. In this way, a plurality of correspondence relationship patterns may be prepared for the correspondence relationship between the PSCCH resources and the SL PRS resources, or one correspondence relationship may be selected from a plurality of correspondence relationship patterns.

[0289] Figure 13 is a diagram showing an example of a correspondence relationship between PSCCH resources and SL PRS resources according to one embodiment. Figure 13 shows an example in which SL PRSs of two terminal devices are mapped to the same slot. In Figure 13A, the PSCCH resource set includes a first PSCCH resource and a second PSCCH resource. In Figure 13A, the SL PRS resource set includes a second SL PRS resource and a third SL PRS resource. Figure 13B shows an example in which each SL PRS is mapped to the second SL PRS resource and the third SL PRS resource of Figure 13A. In Figure 13B, the first PSCCH resource and the second PSCCH resource of Figure 13A are mapped to the PSCCH resource. In Figure 13B, the first SL PRS resource shows an example in which the SL PRSs of two terminal devices are mapped to different symbol positions. In this case, the correspondence relationship between the PSCCH resource and the SL PRS resource may be set such that the SL PRS of the terminal device corresponding to the first PSCCH resource is the resource elements shaded in black in FIG. 13B, and the SL PRS of the terminal device corresponding to the second PSCCH resource is the resource elements shaded in diagonal lines in FIG. 13B.

[0290] In Figure 13, the correspondence between PSCCH resources and SL PRS resources may be indicated using the values of a first index and a second index. The first index of the first PSCCH resource may be set to 1, and the first index of the second PSCCH resource may be set to 2. In Figure 13B, the second index is set for each SL-PRS resource in the SL-PRS resource set in order of the smallest SL PRS symbol offset. For example, the second index of the SL PRS shaded in black may be set to 1, and the second index of the SL PRS shaded in diagonal lines may be set to 2. In this case, if the values of the first index and the second index are the same, the corresponding PSCCH resource and SL PRS resource may be interpreted as resources of the same terminal device. For example, if the first index and the second index are 2, the second PSCCH resource and the shaded SL PRS resource are resources of the same terminal device.

[0291] Fig. 14 is a diagram showing an example of the correspondence relationship between PSCCH resources and SL PRS resources according to one aspect of this embodiment. Fig. 14 shows an example of a case where SL PRSs of three terminal devices are multiplexed in the same slot. In Fig. 14A, the PSCCH resource set includes a first PSCCH resource, a second PSCCH resource, and a third PSCCH resource. In Fig. 14A, the SL PRS resource set includes a fourth SL PRS resource and a fifth SL PRS resource. Fig. 14B is a diagram showing an example of mapping SL PRSs to the fourth SL PRS resource and the fifth SL PRS resource of Fig. 14A. In Fig. 14B, the first PSCCH resource, the second PSCCH resource, and the third PSCCH resource of Fig. 14A are mapped to the PSCCH resource. In Fig. 14B, the fourth SL PRS resource is an SL PRS resource into which SL PRSs of two terminal devices are comb-multiplexed, and this is an example where the comb size is 2. In this case, the correspondence relationship between the PSCCH resources and the SL PRS resources may be set such that the SL PRS of the terminal device corresponding to the first PSCCH resource is the resource elements shaded in black in FIG. 14B, the SL PRS of the terminal device corresponding to the second PSCCH resource is the resource elements shaded in diagonal lines in FIG. 14B, and the SL PRS of the terminal device corresponding to the third PSCCH resource is the resource elements shaded in horizontal lines in FIG. 14B.

[0292] In Figure 14, the correspondence between PSCCH resources and SL PRS resources may be indicated using the values of a first index and a second index. The first index may be assigned to each PSCCH resource in a PSCCH resource set in ascending order of subcarrier index. For example, the first index of the first PSCCH resource may be 1, the first index of the second PSCCH resource may be 2, and the first index of the third PSCCH resource may be 3. In Figure 14B, the second index may be assigned to each SL-PRS resource in an SL-PRS resource set based on the symbol index and comb offset. For example, the second index of the black SL PRS may be set to 1, the second index of the diagonally shaded SL PRS may be set to 2, and the second index of the horizontally shaded SL PRS may be set to 3.

[0293] 14 , with regard to the second index, the second index of the SL PRS shaded in black may be set to 2, the second index of the SL PRS shaded in diagonal lines may be set to 3, and the second index of the SL PRS shaded in horizontal lines may be set to 1, or other combinations may be used.

[0294] Figure 15 is a diagram showing an example of the correspondence relationship between PSCCH resources and SL PRS resources according to one aspect of the present embodiment. Figure 15 shows a mapping example different from that of Figure 14B when mapping each SL PRS within the SL PRS resource of Figure 14A. In Figure 15, the fifth SL PRS resource is an SL PRS resource into which SL PRSs of two terminal devices are comb-multiplexed, and this is an example where the comb size is 2. The correspondence relationship between PSCCH resources and SL PRS resources may be set in the same way as in Figure 14, and may be set using a first index and a second index.

[0295] Figure 16 is a diagram showing an example of a correspondence relationship between PSCCH resources and SL PRS resources according to one aspect of this embodiment. Figure 16 shows an example of a case where SL PRSs of four terminal devices are multiplexed in the same slot. In Figure 16A, the PSCCH resource set includes a first PSCCH resource, a second PSCCH resource, a third PSCCH resource, and a fourth PSCCH resource. In Figure 16, the SL PRS resource set includes a sixth SL PRS resource and a seventh SL PRS resource. Figure 16B is a diagram showing an example of mapping each SL PRS into the sixth SL PRS resource and the seventh SL PRS resource of Figure 16A. In Figure 16B, the first PSCCH resource, the second PSCCH resource, the third PSCCH resource, and the fourth PSCCH resource of Figure 16A are mapped to the PSCCH resource. In Fig. 16B , the sixth and seventh SL PRS resources are SL PRS resources into which the SL PRSs of two terminal devices are comb-multiplexed, and this is an example of a comb size of 2. In this case, the correspondence relationship between the PSCCH resources and the SL PRS resources may be configured such that the SL PRS of the terminal device corresponding to the first PSCCH resource is the resource elements shaded in black in Fig. 16B, the SL PRS of the terminal device corresponding to the second PSCCH resource is the resource elements shaded with diagonal lines in Fig. 16B, the SL PRS of the terminal device corresponding to the third PSCCH resource is the resource elements shaded with horizontal lines in Fig. 16B, and the SL PRS of the terminal device corresponding to the fourth PSCCH resource is the resource elements shaded with grid lines in Fig. 16B.

[0296] In Figure 16, the correspondence between PSCCH resources and SL PRS resources may be indicated by the values of a first index and a second index. The first index may be set for each PSCCH resource in a PSCCH resource set in ascending order of subcarrier index. For example, the first index of the first PSCCH resource may be 1, the first index of the second PSCCH resource may be 2, the first index of the third PSCCH resource may be 3, and the first index of the fourth PSCCH resource may be 4. In Figure 16B, the second index of each SL-PRS resource in an SL-PRS resource set may be set based on the symbol index and comb offset. For example, the second index of the SL PRSs shaded in black may be set to 1, the second index of the SL PRSs shaded in diagonal lines may be set to 2, the second index of the SL PRSs shaded in horizontal lines may be set to 3, and the second index of the SL PRSs shaded in checkered lines may be set to 4. In this case, if the first index and the second index have the same value, the corresponding PSCCH resource and the SL PRS resource may be interpreted as resources of the same terminal device. For example, if the first index and the second index are 2, the second PSCCH resource and the shaded SL PRS resource are resources of the same terminal device.

[0297] 16 , with regard to the second index, the second index of the SL PRS shaded in black may be set to 2, the second index of the SL PRS shaded in diagonal lines may be set to 3, the second index of the SL PRS shaded in horizontal lines may be set to 4, and the second index of the SL PRS shaded in grid lines may be set to 1, or other combinations may be used.

[0298] Figure 17 is a diagram showing an example of the correspondence relationship between PSCCH resources and SL PRS resources according to one aspect of the present embodiment. Figure 17 shows a mapping example different from that of Figure 16B when mapping each SL PRS within the SL PRS resources of Figure 16A. In Figure 17, the sixth and seventh SL PRS resources are SL PRS resources in which SL PRSs of two terminal devices are comb-multiplexed, and this is an example where the comb size is 2. The correspondence relationship between PSCCH resources and SL PRS resources may be set in the same way as in Figure 16, and may be set using a first index and a second index.

[0299] 12 to 17, the second index may be set based on the SL PRS resource ID. For example, the second index may be set in ascending order of SL PRS resource ID values, or in ascending order of SL PRS resource ID values. In FIG. 12 to 17, the second index may be set based on some or all of the number of SL PRS symbols, the SL PRS symbol offset, the comb size, the resource element offset, and the SL PRS sequence ID. For example, when multiplexing only terminal devices with a comb size set to 2 or more, the correspondence relationship in FIG. 12 may be selected. For example, when multiplexing two terminal devices with a comb size set to 2 or more and one terminal device with no comb size set, the correspondence relationship in FIG. 14 or 15 may be selected. In this case, a terminal device with a comb size set to 1 may be interpreted as a terminal device that does not perform comb multiplexing. For example, when multiplexing terminal devices with a comb size of 2 or more and a SL PRS symbol offset set, the correspondence relationship in FIG. 16 or 17 may be selected. These correspondence relationships may be applied when the first index and the second index are the same, or only the correspondence relationship may be set without using the first index and the second index.

[0300] Although the terminal devices performing comb multiplexing have been described with one SL PRS resource in FIGS. 12 to 17, there may be as many SL PRS resources as there are terminal devices performing comb multiplexing.

[0301] FIG. 18 is a diagram illustrating an example of a process related to setting of PSCCH resources and SL PRS resources according to one aspect of the present embodiment.

[0302] In S1801, the upper layer processing unit 34 of the base station apparatus 3 may configure first information (SL PRS configuration information) and second information. The first information and second information may be configured by a party other than the base station apparatus 3. The base station apparatus 3 may configure only some of the first information and second information. Although not shown, the base station apparatus 3 may transmit the first information to the Tx UE in a sidelink DCI format. The first information may be information required for configuring the SL PRS and / or a correspondence relationship between PSCCH resources and SL PRS resources.

[0303] At S1802, the Tx UE receives the first information and the second information. The first information and the second information received by the Tx UE may be values set in the higher layer parameters, values set in the LMF, or values notified in the sidelink DCI format. If the Tx UE does not receive part or all of the first information or the second information, it may use values pre-configured in the Tx UE instead of the information that it did not receive. For the first information and the second information that the Tx UE did not receive, the Tx UE may set the information in the higher layer processing unit 14 in the PC5 of the Tx UE.

[0304] At S1803, the Rx UE receives the first information and the second information. The first information and the second information received by the Rx UE may be values set by higher layer parameters, values set by the LMF, or values set by the Tx UE. If the Rx UE does not receive part or all of the first information and the second information, the Rx UE may use values preset in the Rx UE instead of the information that it did not receive.

[0305] At S1804, the Tx UE maps the PSCCH and the SL PRS. At S1804, the Tx UE configures, based on the second information, the subcarrier positions (or PRBs) to which each PSCCH resource in the PSCCH resource set is mapped. For example, if the second information is 10, the number of PRBs for each PSCCH resource may be set to 10. For example, if the second information indicates the subcarrier positions of each PSCCH resource, the Tx UE maps each PSCCH resource to the subcarrier positions. SCI format 1-B may be configured for each PSCCH resource.

[0306] At S1804, the Tx UE configures PSCCH resources and SL PRS resources for each Rx UE based on the first information. The Tx UE maps the PSCCH resources and SL PRS resources to resource elements based on the correspondence between the PSCCH resources and the SL PRS resources. At this time, for example, when configuring an Rx UE with a comb offset of 0, an Rx UE with a comb offset of 1, and an Rx UE with a comb offset of 2, the mapping shown in FIG. 12 may be performed. In this case, for example, the first PSCCH and the SL PRS shaded in black are mapped to the resource elements addressed to the first Rx UE, the second PSCCH and the SL PRS shaded in diagonal lines are mapped to the resource elements addressed to the second Rx UE, and the third PSCCH and the SL PRS shaded in grid lines are mapped to the resource elements addressed to the third Rx UE. Furthermore, for example, when configuring two Rx UEs with a comb size set to 2 and one Rx UE for which a comb size is not set, the mapping shown in Figure 14 or 15 may be performed.

[0307] In S1805, the Tx UE transmits the PSCCH and the SL PRS to the Rx UE. At this time, the PSCCH and the SL PRS are transmitted to one or more Rx UEs set in S1804.

[0308] At S1806, the Rx UE performs reception processing. The Rx UE may identify the subcarrier position of each PSCCH resource in the PSCCH resource set from the second information and detect each PSCCH resource. If the Destination ID of SCI format 1-B matches the ID of the Rx UE, the Rx UE determines that the PSCCH resource including that SCI format is the PSCCH resource addressed to itself. The Rx UE determines the first index of the PSCCH resource addressed to itself. The Rx UE determines that the SL PRS resource at the second index, which has the same value as the first index, is the SL PRS resource addressed to itself.

[0309] The positioning methods used in sidelink positioning include SL-TDOA (SL Time Difference Of Arrival), SL-AoA (SL Angle of Departure), SL-AoD (SL Angle of Arrival), and Multi-RTT (Multi Round Trip Time). The location information of the terminal device 1 is calculated using the SL PRS received by the radio receiving unit 10b. The location information of the terminal device 1 may be calculated by the terminal device 1, or may be calculated by an upper layer and / or an LMF of the terminal device 1.
