Abstract

In a rotary electric machine according to the present disclosure, the space factor of an outer-peripheral-side iron core region (A) of a rotor core (31) configured by laminating a plurality of electromagnetic steel sheets (313) in an axial direction is formed lower than the space factor of an outer-peripheral-side iron core region (B) different from the outer-peripheral-side iron core region (A) of the rotor core (31), and a gap (314) through which a first refrigerant for cooling the rotor core (31) infiltrates is provided between the electromagnetic steel sheets (313) in the outer-peripheral-side iron core region (A) of the rotor core (31).
