Abstract

Provided are an electric vehicle charging system and an electric vehicle with which it is possible to reduce the occurrence of situations in which an electric vehicle that is due for charging proceeds toward a charging facility where charging cannot be started. This electric vehicle charging system comprises a plurality of charging facilities, and also comprises: an information processing device that, when among the plurality of charging facilities there is a charging facility where there was an attempt to charge an electric vehicle and charging was not possible, collects environment information about the outside air temperature and the amount of solar radiation at the charging facility for the time at which charging was not possible; and an information output unit. On the basis of the collected environment information for the time at which charging was not possible and environment information that is from the time of an estimation and indicates the outside air temperature and the amount of solar radiation at each time and each location for which an estimation is performed, the information processing device estimates whether charging is possible at respective times at the charging facility provided at each location, and the information output unit outputs the information about whether charging is possible that was estimated by the information processing device.
