Drying device for synthetic resin molding material

Abstract

The purpose of the present invention is to provide a drying device for a synthetic resin molding material such as a resin pellet, the device being able to perform: effective utilization of thermal energy; and drying, in a shorter time, of the synthetic resin molding material in a temperature range in which a change in physical properties of the synthetic resin molding material is hardly caused. A drying device 1 comprises: a drying hopper 2; generation parts 8, 7A for generating dry air for drying a synthetic resin molding material in the drying hopper 2; a dry air supply passage L1 for supplying the dry air to the drying hopper 2; an exhaust air discharge passage L2 for discharging, from the drying hopper 2, the dry air used for drying the synthetic resin molding material in the drying hopper 2; and an exhaust air supply passage L7 for supplying a portion of the exhaust air flowing through the exhaust air flow passage L2 to the drying hopper 2. The drying hopper 2 is configured so that the dry air from the dry air supply passage L1 is introduced to the lower side and the exhaust air from the exhaust air supply passage L7 is introduced to the upper side.
