Description

Terminal, base station, wireless communication system, and wireless communication method

[0001] The present disclosure relates to a terminal, a base station, a wireless communication system, and a wireless communication method that support a mechanism for scheduling a PDSCH or a PUSCH transmitted on two or more CCs using one DCI transmitted on a CC.

[0002] The 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) has developed specifications for the 5th generation mobile communication system (5G, also known as New Radio (NR) or Next Generation (NG)), and is also developing specifications for the next generation, known as Beyond 5G, 5G Evolution, or 6G.

[0003] Furthermore, in 3GPP Release 18, both intra-band and inter-band Carrier Aggregation (CA) are being considered. Specifically, the introduction of a mechanism for scheduling Physical Downlink Shared Channels (PDSCHs) or Physical Uplink Shared Channels (PUSCHs) transmitted on two or more Component Carriers (CCs) using one Downlink Control Information (DCI) transmitted on a CC is being considered. Such a mechanism may be referred to as Single DCI Multi-carrier PDSCH / PUSCH scheduling or Single DCI Multi-Cell PDSCH / PUSCH scheduling (see, for example, Non-Patent Document 1).

[0004] "New WID on Multi-carrier enhancements", RP-213577, 3GPP TSG RAN Meeting #94e, 3GPP, December 2021

[0005] Incidentally, 3GPP Release 17 introduced a mechanism that applies the same TCI (Transmission Configuration Indication) state to two or more CCs (beams).

[0006] On the other hand, DCI used in single DCI multi-carrier PDSCH / PUSCH scheduling can specify different TCI states for each of two or more CCs.

[0007] Under such circumstances, the inventors have found, as a result of intensive study, that a CC (set of cells) scheduled by one DCI and a CC (cell set) to which the same TCI state is applied may overlap. Furthermore, as a result of intensive study, the inventors have found that, when Single DCI Multi-carrier PDSCH / PUSCH scheduling is configured and CCs to which the same TCI state is applied are configured, a situation may arise in which it is not possible to appropriately operate a mechanism for applying the same TCI state to two or more CCs.

[0008] Therefore, the present invention has been made to solve the above-described problems, and has an object to provide a terminal, a base station, a wireless communication system, and a wireless communication method that enable appropriate operation of a mechanism for applying the same TCI state to two or more CCs when Single DCI Multi-carrier PDSCH / PUSCH scheduling is configured.

[0009] The disclosed aspect is a terminal comprising: a receiving unit that receives one downlink control information that schedules channels transmitted on two or more carriers; and a control unit that, when a carrier to which the same transmission setting notification state is applied is included in the two or more carriers, applies the same transmission setting notification state to the carrier to which the same transmission setting notification state is applied, without assuming that a different transmission setting notification state is specified by the one downlink control information for the carrier to which the same transmission setting notification state is applied.

[0010] The disclosed aspect is a base station comprising: a transmitting unit that transmits one downlink control information that schedules channels to be transmitted on two or more carriers; and a control unit that, when a carrier to which the same transmission setting notification state is applied is included in the two or more carriers, controls the transmission of the one downlink control information so that a terminal applies the same transmission setting notification state to the carrier to which the same transmission setting notification state is applied, without specifying a different transmission setting notification state for the carrier to which the same transmission setting notification state is applied by the one downlink control information.

[0011] An aspect of the disclosure is a wireless communication system comprising a terminal and a base station, wherein the terminal comprises a receiving unit that receives one downlink control information that schedules channels transmitted on two or more carriers, and a control unit that, when a carrier to which the same transmission setting notification state is applied is included in the two or more carriers, applies the same transmission setting notification state to the carrier to which the same transmission setting notification state is applied, without assuming that different transmission setting notification states are specified by the one downlink control information for the carrier to which the same transmission setting notification state is applied.

[0012] The disclosed aspect is a wireless communication method comprising: a step A of receiving one downlink control information that schedules channels transmitted on two or more carriers; and a step B of applying, when the two or more carriers include carriers to which the same transmission setting notification state is applied, the same transmission setting notification state to the carriers to which the same transmission setting notification state is applied, without assuming that different transmission setting notification states are specified by the one downlink control information for the carriers to which the same transmission setting notification state is applied.

[0014] Hereinafter, embodiments will be described with reference to the drawings. Note that the same or similar reference numerals are used to designate the same functions or configurations, and descriptions thereof will be omitted as appropriate.

[0015] [Embodiment] (1) Overall Schematic Configuration of Wireless Communication System Fig. 1 is an overall schematic configuration diagram of a wireless communication system 10 according to an embodiment. The wireless communication system 10 is a wireless communication system conforming to 5G New Radio (NR) and includes a Next Generation-Radio Access Network 20 (hereinafter, NG-RAN 20) and a terminal 200 (hereinafter, UE (User Equipment) 200).

[0016] The wireless communication system 10 may be a wireless communication system conforming to a system called Beyond 5G, 5G Evolution, or 6G.

[0017] The NG-RAN 20 includes a base station 100 (hereinafter, gNB 100). Note that the specific configuration of the wireless communication system 10, including the number of gNBs 100 and UEs 200, is not limited to the example shown in FIG.

[0018] The NG-RAN 20 actually includes a plurality of NG-RAN nodes, specifically, gNBs (or ng-eNBs), and is connected to a 5G-compliant core network (5GC, not shown). The NG-RAN 20 and the 5GC may be simply referred to as a "network."

[0019] The gNB100 is a radio base station conforming to 5G, and performs 5G radio communication with the UE 200. The gNB100 and UE 200 are capable of supporting Massive MIMO (Multiple-Input Multiple-Output), which generates a more directional beam (BM) by controlling radio signals transmitted from multiple antenna elements, Carrier Aggregation (CA), which aggregates multiple component carriers (CCs), and Dual Connectivity (DC), which simultaneously communicates on two or more transport blocks between the UE and each of two NG-RAN nodes.

[0020] The wireless communication system 10 also supports a plurality of frequency ranges (FR).

[0021] 2, the wireless communication system 10 corresponds to FR1, FR2-1, and FR2-2. The frequency bands of each FR are as follows.

[0022] FR1: 410 MHz to 7.125 GHz; FR2-1: 24.25 GHz to 52.6 GHz; FR2-2: 52.6 GHz to 71 GHz. FR1 may use a sub-carrier spacing (SCS) of 15, 30, or 60 kHz and a bandwidth (BW) of 5 to 100 MHz. FR2-1 is a higher frequency than FR1 and may use an SCS of 60 or 120 kHz (including 240 kHz) and a bandwidth (BW) of 50 to 400 MHz. FR2-2 is a higher frequency than FR2-1 and may use an SCS of 120, 480 kHz, or 960 kHz and a bandwidth (BW) of 400 to 2000 MHz.

[0023] Note that SCS may be interpreted as numerology, which is defined in 3GPP TS38.300 and corresponds to one subcarrier spacing in the frequency domain.

[0024] Furthermore, the wireless communication system 10 also supports frequency bands higher than the FR2-2 frequency band. Specifically, the wireless communication system 10 supports frequency bands above 52.6 GHz up to 71 GHz or 114.25 GHz. For convenience, such high frequency bands may be referred to as "FR2x."

[0025] To solve the problem of increased phase noise in high frequency bands, when using bands above 52.6 GHz, Cyclic Prefix-Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (CP-OFDM) / Discrete Fourier Transform - Spread (DFT-S-OFDM) with larger Sub-Carrier Spacing (SCS) may be applied.

[0026] FIG. 3 shows an example of the configuration of radio frames, subframes, and slots used in the radio communication system 10.

[0027] As shown in Figure 3, one slot consists of 14 symbols, and the larger (wider) the SCS, the shorter the symbol period (and slot period). The SCS is not limited to the interval (frequency) shown in Figure 3. For example, 480 kHz, 960 kHz, etc. may be used.

[0028] Furthermore, the number of symbols constituting one slot does not necessarily have to be 14 (for example, 28 symbols or 56 symbols). Furthermore, the number of slots per subframe may differ depending on the SCS.

[0029] The time direction (t) shown in Fig. 3 may be called a time domain, a symbol period, a symbol time, etc. The frequency direction may be called a frequency domain, a resource block, a subcarrier, a bandwidth part (BWP), etc.

[0030] DMRS is a type of reference signal and is prepared for various channels. Here, unless otherwise specified, it may refer to a downlink data channel, specifically, a DMRS for a PDSCH (Physical Downlink Shared Channel). However, a DMRS for an uplink data channel, specifically, a PUSCH (Physical Uplink Shared Channel), may be interpreted as being the same as a DMRS for a PDSCH.

[0031] The DMRS may be used for channel estimation at the device, for example, as part of coherent demodulation at the UE 200. The DMRS may only be present in resource blocks (RBs) used for PDSCH transmission.

[0032] A DMRS may have multiple mapping types. Specifically, a DMRS has mapping type A and mapping type B. In mapping type A, the first DMRS is placed in the second or third symbol of a slot. In mapping type A, the DMRS may be mapped based on a slot boundary, regardless of where in the slot actual data transmission starts. The reason why the first DMRS is placed in the second or third symbol of a slot may be interpreted as being to place the first DMRS after a control resource set (CORESET).

[0033] In mapping type B, the first DMRS may be placed in the first symbol of the data allocation, i.e., the position of the DMRS may be given relative to where the data is placed, rather than relative to the slot boundary.

[0034] Furthermore, DMRS may have multiple types. Specifically, DMRS has Type 1 and Type 2. Type 1 and Type 2 differ in frequency domain mapping and the maximum number of orthogonal reference signals. Type 1 is a single-symbol DMRS that can output up to four orthogonal signals, while Type 2 is a double-symbol DMRS that can output up to eight orthogonal signals.

[0035] (2) Functional Block Configuration of Wireless Communication System Next, the functional block configuration of the wireless communication system 10 will be described.

[0036] First, the functional block configuration of the UE 200 will be described.

[0037] Fig. 4 is a functional block diagram of UE 200. As shown in Fig. 4, UE 200 includes radio signal transmitting / receiving unit 210, amplifier unit 220, modem unit 230, control signal / reference signal processing unit 240, encoding / decoding unit 250, data transmitting / receiving unit 260, and control unit 270.

[0038] The radio signal transmitting / receiving unit 210 transmits and receives radio signals conforming to NR. The radio signal transmitting / receiving unit 210 supports Massive MIMO, CA that uses a bundle of multiple CCs, and DC that simultaneously communicates between a UE and two NG-RAN nodes.

[0039] The amplifier unit 220 is configured by a PA (Power Amplifier) / LNA (Low Noise Amplifier), etc. The amplifier unit 220 amplifies the signal output from the modulation / demodulation unit 230 to a predetermined power level. The amplifier unit 220 also amplifies the RF signal output from the radio signal transmission / reception unit 210.

[0040] The modem unit 230 performs data modulation / demodulation, transmission power setting, resource block allocation, etc. for each predetermined communication destination (gNB 100 or another gNB). The modem unit 230 may apply Cyclic Prefix-Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (CP-OFDM) / Discrete Fourier Transform - Spread (DFT-S-OFDM). Furthermore, DFT-S-OFDM may be used not only for the uplink (UL) but also for the downlink (DL).

[0041] The control signal and reference signal processor 240 executes processing related to various control signals transmitted and received by the UE 200 and processing related to various reference signals transmitted and received by the UE 200 .

[0042] Specifically, the control signal / reference signal processing unit 240 receives various control signals, for example, control signals of a radio resource control layer (RRC), transmitted via a predetermined control channel from the gNB 100. In addition, the control signal / reference signal processing unit 240 transmits various control signals to the gNB 100 via a predetermined control channel.

[0043] The control signal / reference signal processor 240 performs processing using reference signals (RS) such as a Demodulation Reference Signal (DMRS) and a Phase Tracking Reference Signal (PTRS).

[0044] DMRS is a terminal-specific reference signal (pilot signal) known between the base station and the terminal to estimate the fading channel used for data demodulation, while PTRS is a terminal-specific reference signal intended to estimate phase noise, which is an issue in high frequency bands.

[0045] In addition to the DMRS and PTRS, the reference signals may also include a Channel State Information-Reference Signal (CSI-RS), a Sounding Reference Signal (SRS), and a Positioning Reference Signal (PRS) for position information.

[0046] The channels include control channels and data channels, such as a PDCCH (Physical Downlink Control Channel), a PUCCH (Physical Uplink Control Channel), a RACH (Random Access Channel), a Downlink Control Information (DCI) including a Random Access Radio Network Temporary Identifier (RA-RNTI), and a Physical Broadcast Channel (PBCH).

[0047] Furthermore, the data channel includes a PDSCH (Physical Downlink Shared Channel) and a PUSCH (Physical Uplink Shared Channel). Data refers to data transmitted via the data channel. The data channel may be interpreted as a shared channel.

[0048] Here, the control signal and reference signal processor 240 may receive downlink control information (DCI). The DCI includes existing fields for storing DCI formats, a carrier indicator (CI), a BWP indicator, a frequency domain resource assignment (FDRA), a time domain resource assignment (TDRA), a modulation and coding scheme (MCS), a HARQ process number (HPN), a new data indicator (NDI), a redundancy version (RV), and the like.

[0049] The value stored in the DCI format field is an information element that specifies the format of the DCI. The value stored in the CI field is an information element that specifies the CC to which the DCI applies. The value stored in the BWP indicator field is an information element that specifies the BWP to which the DCI applies. The BWP that can be specified by the BWP indicator is set by an information element (BandwidthPart-Config) included in the RRC message. The value stored in the FDRA field is an information element that specifies the frequency domain resource to which the DCI applies. The frequency domain resource is identified by the value stored in the FDRA field and an information element (RA Type) included in the RRC message. The value stored in the TDRA field is an information element that specifies the time domain resource to which the DCI applies. The time domain resource is identified by the value stored in the TDRA field and information elements (pdsch-TimeDomainAllocationList, pusch-TimeDomainAllocationList) included in the RRC message. The time domain resource may be identified by the value stored in the TDRA field and a default table. The value stored in the MCS field is an information element that specifies the MCS to which the DCI applies. The MCS is identified by the value stored in the MCS and an MCS table. The MCS table may be specified by an RRC message or may be determined by RNTI scrambling. The value stored in the HPN field is an information element that specifies the HARQ process to which the DCI is applied. The value stored in the NDI field is an information element for specifying whether the data to which the DCI is applied is initial transmission data. The value stored in the RV field is an information element that specifies the redundancy of the data to which the DCI is applied.

[0050] In the embodiment, the control signal and reference signal processor 240 configures a receiver that receives one piece of downlink control information that schedules channels transmitted by two or more carriers. The carrier may be read as CC, BWP, cell, or beam.

[0051] Note that the DCI may include DCI used before Release 17 (hereinafter referred to as legacy DCI). The legacy DCI may be referred to as a first DCI. The format of the legacy DCI may include one or more DCI formats selected from DCI formats 0_0 / 0_1 / 0_2 / 1_0 / 1_1 / 1_2 / 2_0 / 2_1 / 2_2 / 2_3 / 2_4 / 2_5 / 2_4 / 2_5 / 2_6 / 2_7 / 3_0 / 3_1 / 4_0 / 4_1 / 4_2.

[0052] Furthermore, as described above, the DCI may include one piece of downlink control information (hereinafter, specific DCI) that schedules channels transmitted on two or more carriers. The specific DCI may be referred to as a second DCI in comparison with the existing DCI. The channel scheduled by one specific DCI may be a PDSCH or a PUSCH.

[0053] Here, a mechanism for scheduling PDSCHs or PUSCHs transmitted on two or more CCs using one specific DCI transmitted on a CC is a newly introduced mechanism. Such a mechanism may be referred to as Single DCI Multi-carrier PDSCH / PUSCH scheduling or Single DCI Multi-Cell PDSCH / PUSCH scheduling. The format of the specific DCI may be referred to as DCI format 0_3 or 1_3.

[0054] The encoding / decoding unit 250 performs data division / concatenation and channel coding / decoding for each predetermined communication destination (gNB100 or another gNB).

[0055] Specifically, the encoding / decoding unit 250 divides the data output from the data transmitting / receiving unit 260 into pieces of a predetermined size, performs channel coding on the divided data, decodes the data output from the modem unit 230, and concatenates the decoded data.

[0056] The data transmitter / receiver 260 transmits and receives Protocol Data Units (PDUs) and Service Data Units (SDUs). Specifically, the data transmitter / receiver 260 assembles and disassembles PDUs / SDUs in multiple layers (such as a Medium Access Control layer (MAC), a Radio Link Control layer (RLC), and a Packet Data Convergence Protocol layer (PDCP)). The data transmitter / receiver 260 also performs data error correction and retransmission control based on Hybrid Automatic Repeat Request (HARQ).

[0057] The control unit 270 controls each functional block constituting the UE 200. In the embodiment, when two or more carriers include carriers to which the same transmission setting notification state (TCI state) is applied, the control unit 270 configures a control unit that applies the same transmission setting notification state to the carriers to which the same transmission setting notification state is applied, without assuming that different transmission setting notification states are specified by one piece of downlink control information for the carriers to which the same transmission setting notification state is applied.

[0058] Note that a CC scheduled by a specific DCI may be referred to as a set of cells. A CC to which the same TCI state is applied may be referred to as a cell set in order to distinguish it from a set of cells.

[0059] Secondly, we will explain the functional block configuration of gNB100.

[0060] Fig. 5 is a functional block diagram of the gNB 100. As shown in Fig. 5, the gNB 100 has a receiving unit 110, a transmitting unit 120, and a control unit 130.

[0061] The receiving unit 110 receives various signals from the UE 200. The receiving unit 110 may receive an UL signal via a PUCCH or a PUSCH.

[0062] The transmitter 120 transmits various signals to the UE 200. The transmitter 120 may transmit DL signals via a PDCCH or a PDSCH. In an embodiment, the transmitter 120 constitutes a transmitter that transmits one piece of downlink control information that schedules channels transmitted on two or more carriers.

[0063] The control unit 130 controls the gNB 100. In the embodiment, when two or more carriers include carriers to which the same transmission setting notification state is applied, the control unit 130 is configured to control transmission of one piece of downlink control information so that the terminal applies the same transmission setting notification state to the carriers to which the same transmission setting notification state is applied, without specifying different transmission setting notification states for the carriers to which the same transmission setting notification state is applied by one piece of downlink control information.

[0064] (3) Issues First, we will explain the types of schedules.

[0065] As shown in Fig. 6, a method of scheduling the PDSCH / PUSCH of a certain CC by the PDCCH (DCI) of the same CC (hereinafter referred to as self carrier scheduling) is assumed. For example, the PDSCH / PUSCH of CC#1 is scheduled by the DCI of CC#1, the PDSCH / PUSCH of CC#2 is scheduled by the DCI of CC#2, and the PDSCH / PUSCH of CC#3 is scheduled by the DCI of CC#3.

[0066] As shown in Fig. 7, a method of scheduling the PDSCH / PUSCH of a different CC by the PDCCH (DCI) of a certain CC (hereinafter referred to as cross carrier scheduling) is assumed. For example, the PDSCH / PUSCH of CC#1 is scheduled by the DCI of CC#1, the PDSCH / PUSCH of CC#2 is scheduled by the DCI of CC#1, and the PDSCH / PUSCH of CC#3 is scheduled by the DCI of CC#1. In cross carrier scheduling, the DCI scheduled by the PDSCH / PUSCH of each CC is transmitted separately.

[0067] As shown in Fig. 8, a method of scheduling PDSCH / PUSCH of two or more CCs by one PDCCH (DCI) of a certain CC (hereinafter referred to as multi-carrier scheduling) is assumed. For example, PDSCH / PUSCH of CC#1, CC#2, and CC#3 are scheduled by one DCI of CC#1. Multi-carrier scheduling is synonymous with single DCI multi-carrier PDSCH / PUSCH scheduling. As described above, multi-carrier scheduling is a newly introduced mechanism.

[0068] Here, the DCI used in self carrier scheduling and cross carrier scheduling is the existing DCI (e.g., DCI format 0_0 / 0_1 / 0_2 / 1_0 / 1_1 / 1_2, etc.), while the DCI used in multi-carrier scheduling is a specific DCI (e.g., DCI format 0_3 / 1_3).

[0069] Secondly, Single DCI Multi-carrier PDSCH / PUSCH scheduling will be explained.

[0070] Specifically, when a function for scheduling PUSCH / PDSCH for two or more cells by one specific DCI (multi-carrier scheduling) is configured, a set of cells that can be scheduled by the specific DCI (set of cells) is configured. The set of cells may be configured in a table format. The set of cells may also be configured by RRC signaling.

[0071] For example, the number of tables defining the set of cells may be one or more. The table may be a table that associates indexes with co-scheduled cells, as shown in Figures 9 and 10.

[0072] 9, in Table 1, a set of cells (hereinafter, set of cells 1) may be CC#1 to CC#4. In such a case, index 0 may be associated with CC#1, index 1 may be associated with CC#1 and CC#2, index 2 may be associated with CC#1, CC#2, and CC#3, and index 3 may be associated with CC#1, CC#2, CC#3, and CC#4.

[0073] 10, in Table 2, a set of cells (hereinafter, set of cells 2) may be CC#5 to CC#7. Index 0 may be associated with CC#5, index 1 may be associated with CC#5 and CC#6, index 2 may be associated with CC#5, CC#6, and CC#7, and index 3 may be associated with CC#6.

[0074] Here, when Table 1 and Table 2 are configured, the number of cells that can be scheduled by a specific DCI is seven cells, CC#1 to CC#6. Although not particularly limited, the upper limit of the number of cells that can be scheduled by one specific DCI (i.e., the number of cells included in one set of cells (table)) may be four.

[0075] In this context, as shown in Figure 11, a case is expected in which a specific DCI #1 that schedules a cell (CC) included in Table 1 (set of cells 1) and a specific DCI #2 that schedules a cell (CC) included in Table 2 (set of cells 2) coexist.

[0076] It should be noted that for a specific DCI (DCI format 0_3 / 1_3), it is expected that the payload size, CCE index, SS (Search Space) setting, etc. will differ for each table (set of cells).

[0077] Third, we explain how the same TCI state can be applied to two or more CCs.

[0078] 3GPP Release 16 introduces a mechanism whereby one MAC CE applies the same TCI state to two or more CCs (hereinafter referred to as Rel-16 TCI update). 3GPP Release 16 also introduces a mechanism whereby one or more DCIs apply the same TCI state to two or more CCs (hereinafter referred to as Rel-17 Unified TCI).

[0079] For example, in the Rel-17 Unified TCI, as shown in Fig. 12 , in two or more CCs to which the same TCI state is applied (the RRC configured CC list in Fig. 12 ), the same TCI state (TCI state #4 in Fig. 12 ) may be specified by DCI format 1_1 / 1_2 of each of two or more CCs (BWP / CC1, BWP / CC2, BWP / CC3). Alternatively, in the Rel-17 Unified TCI, as shown in Fig. 13 , in two or more CCs to which the same TCI state is applied (the RRC configured CC list in Fig. 13 ), the same TCI state (TCI state #4 in Fig. 12 ) may be specified by DCI format 1_1 / 1_2 of a reference BWP / CC (BWP / CC1 in Fig. 13 ) selected from two or more CCs (BWP / CC1, BWP / CC2, BWP / CC3). In the case shown in FIG. 13, the TCI state does not need to be specified by DCI format 1_1 / 1_2 of BWP / CC2 and BWP / CC3.

[0080] Fourth, the problems of the embodiment will be described.

[0081] Under the above-mentioned background, the inventors have found, as a result of intensive study, that a CC (set of cells) scheduled by one DCI and a CC (cell set) to which the same TCI state is applied may overlap.

[0082] For example, in single DCI multi-carrier PDSCH / PUSCH scheduling, DCI format 1_3 can specify the TCI state separately for each of the CCs (BWP / CC1, BWP / CC2, BWP / CC3) included in the CC scheduled by DCI format 1_3 (in FIG. 14 , a set of cells).

[0083] Specifically, the index of the TCI state table may be specified by the TCI field included in DCI format 1_3 with reference to a TCI state table that associates a combination of TCI states of each CC included in the set of cells with an index. In the case shown in FIG. 14 , when the value of the TCI field included in DCI format 1_3 is “3,” TCI state #1 may be specified for BWP / CC1, TCI state #2 may be specified for BWP / CC2, and TCI state #3 may be specified for BWP / CC3. The TCI state table may be a table common to UL and DL (Joint TCI state table), or may be separate tables for UL and DL (Separate TCI state tables). The TCI state table may be configured by an RRC message or may be predefined in the wireless communication system 10, and activation / deactivation may be notified by the MAC CE. Switching between the Joint TCI state table and the Separate TCI state table may be configured by an RRC message or may be notified by the MAC CE.

[0084] Therefore, assuming a case where two or more CCs (RRC configured CC list / cell set) shown in FIG. 12 or FIG. 13 and two or more CCs (set of cells) shown in FIG. 14 overlap, it may be possible that the mechanism for applying the same TCI state to two or more CCs cannot be properly operated.

[0085] (4) Operational Example To solve the above-mentioned problem, the following operational example may be defined. Here, in order to mainly describe the TCI state, a case in which a PDSCH is scheduled by one specific DCI may be assumed. The one specific DCI may be DCI format 1_3.

[0086] (4.0) Assumptions The assumptions for the operational example will be described below.

[0087] UE 200 does not need to assume that different TCI states between cells (CCs) included in a cell set are specified by DCI format 1_3.

[0088] Hereinafter, two or more CCs (set of cells) scheduled by one specific DCI may refer to CCs configured by an RRC message. The RRC message may be one or more messages selected from ScheduledCell-ListDCI-0-3 and ScheduledCell-ListDCI-1-3. CC may be read as WBP, cell, or beam.

[0089] Two or more CCs (cell sets) to which the same TCI state is applied may refer to CCs configured by an RRC message. The RRC message may be one or more messages selected from simultaneousTCI-UpdateList1-r16, simultaneousTCI-UpdateList2-r16, simultaneousSpatial-UpdatedList1-r16, simultaneousSpatial-UpdatedList2-r16, simultaneousU-TCI-UpdateList1-r17, simultaneousU-TCI-UpdateList2-r17, simultaneousU-TCI-UpdateList3-r17, and simultaneousU-TCI-UpdateList4-r17. CC may be read as BWP, cell, or beam.

[0090] In addition, CCs that can apply the same TCI state in Rel-16 TCI update may be configured using one or more messages selected from simultaneousTCI-UpdateList1-r16, simultaneousTCI-UpdateList2-r16, simultaneousSpatial-UpdatedList1-r16, or simultaneousSpatial-UpdatedList2-r16. CCs that can apply the same TCI state in Rel-17 Unified TCI may be configured using one or more messages selected from simultaneousU-TCI-UpdateList1-r17, simultaneousU-TCI-UpdateList2-r17, simultaneousU-TCI-UpdateList3-r17, and simultaneousU-TCI-UpdateList4-r17.

[0091] (4.1) Operation Example 1 In Operation Example 1, configuration of two or more CCs (set of cells) scheduled by one specific DCI and two or more CCs (cell sets) to which the same TCI state is applied will be described. The following options are considered for Operation Example 1.

[0092] In option 1-1, it may not be assumed that two or more identical CCs are included in both the set of cells and the cell set. Option 1-1 may be expressed as follows:

[0093] In Option 1-1-1, it may not be assumed that two or more CCs included in the set of cells are included in the cell set. However, it may be assumed that one CC included in the set of cells is included in the cell set.

[0094] In Option 1-1-2, it is not necessary to assume that two or more CCs included in the cell set are included in the set of cells. However, it may be assumed that one CC included in the cell set is included in the set of cells.

[0095] In option 1-2, it may be assumed that set of cells and cell set are subsets of one another. Option 1-2 may be expressed as follows:

[0096] In option 1-2-1, the set of cells may be limited to a subset of the cell set. For example, as shown in Figure 15, set of cells 1 (CC#1, CC#2, CC#3) scheduled by DCI format 1_3 may be a subset of cell set 1 (CC#1, CC#2, CC#3, CC#4) to which the TCI update applies, and set of cells 2 (CC#5, CC#6) scheduled by DCI format 1_3 may be a subset of cell set 2 (CC#5, CC#6, CC#7) to which the TCI update applies.

[0097] In option 1-2-2, the cell set may be limited to a subset of the set of cells. For example, as shown in Figure 16, cell set 1 (CC#1, CC#2, CC#3) to which the TCI update is applied may be a subset of set of cells 1 (CC#1, CC#2, CC#3, CC#4) scheduled by DCI format 1_3, and cell set 2 (CC#5, CC#6) to which the TCI update is applied may be a subset of set of cells 2 (CC#5, CC#6, CC#7) scheduled by DCI format 1_3.

[0098] In options 1-3, it may be assumed that set of cells and cell set are independently configurable. Options 1-3 may be expressed as follows:

[0099] In option 1-3-1, the set of cells may be configurable independently of the cell set.

[0100] In option 1-3-2, the cell set may be configurable independently of the set of cells.

[0101] (4.2) Operation Example 2 In Operation Example 2, a case will be described in which two or more CCs included in the cell set are included in the set of cells. In Operation Example 2, Option 1-2 or Option 1-3 of Operation Example 1 may be assumed. A case in which DCI format 1_3 can specify the TCI state for each CC included in the set of cells may be assumed.

[0102] In operation example 2, DCI format 1_3 does not specify different TCI states for two or more CCs included in a cell set. For operation example 2, the following options are possible.

[0103] In option 2-1, DCI format 1_3 specifies a TCI state (e.g., TCI state ID) common to two or more CCs included in the set of cells. In option 2-1, a TCI state ID common to two or more CCs included in the set of cells is specified, and since two or more CCs included in the cell set are part of the set of cells, the same TCI state is applied to two or more CCs included in the cell set. The following options are possible for option 2-1.

[0104] In option 2-1-1, as shown in FIG. 17 , DCI format 1_3 specifies the same TCI state ID (TCI state #4 in FIG. 17 ) in the TCI field included in DCI format 1_3 for each of two or more CCs included in the set of cells (in FIG. 17 , RRC configured set of cells for MC scheduling (BWP / CC1, BWP / CC2, BWP / CC3)).

[0105] In option 2-1-2, as shown in Fig. 18 , DCI format 1_3 specifies the same TCI state ID (TCI state #4 in Fig. 18 ) in the TCI field of a reference BWP / CC (BWP / CC1 in Fig. 18 ) selected from two or more CCs included in the set of cells (RRC configured set of cells for MC scheduling (BWP / CC1, BWP / CC2, BWP / CC3) in Fig. 18 ). Note that in the case shown in Fig. 18 , DCI format 1_3 does not need to include the TCI fields of BWP / CC2 and BWP / CC3.

[0106] In option 2-1, the TCI field included in DCI format 1_3 may be considered to be a field (Type-1A field) that specifies a common value for two or more CCs included in the set of cells.

[0107] In Option 2-2, one TCI state selected from the TCI states corresponding to each of two or more CCs included in the set of cells is applied to two or more CCs included in the cell set. One TCI state may be a TCI state corresponding to at least one of the two or more CCs included in the cell set. The following options are possible for Option 2-2:

[0108] In option 2-2-1, as shown in FIG. 19, DCI format 1_3 may specify a combination of TCI states (here, an index in the TCI state table) for each of two or more CCs (BWP / CC1, BWP / CC2, and BWP / CC3 in FIG. 19) included in the set of cells.

[0109] Specifically, the index of the TCI state table may be specified by the TCI field included in DCI format 1_3 with reference to a TCI state table (TCI state (TCI-DCI-1-3) in FIG. 19 ) that associates a combination of TCI states of each CC included in the set of cells with an index. In the case shown in FIG. 19 , when the value of the TCI field included in DCI format 1_3 is “3,” TCI state #1 may be specified for BWP / CC1, TCI state #2 may be specified for BWP / CC2, and TCI state #3 may be specified for BWP / CC3. The TCI state table may be a table common to UL and DL (Joint TCI state table), or may be separate tables for each of UL and DL (Separate TCI state table). The TCI state table may be set by an RRC message, may be predefined in the wireless communication system 10, or activation / deactivation may be notified by the MAC CE. Switching between the Joint TCI state table and the Separate TCI state table may be configured by an RRC message or may be notified by the MAC CE.

[0110] Under these assumptions, consider a case where two or more CCs included in the set of cells (in FIG. 19, the RRC configured set of cells for MC scheduling) include two or more CCs included in the cell set (in FIG. 19, the cell set for unified TCI). In such a case, a TCI state (TCI state #1) corresponding to one CC (in FIG. 19, BWP / CC1) selected from two or more CCs included in the set of cells is applied to two or more CCs (in FIG. 19, BWP / CC1 and BWP / CC2) included in the cell set. Note that in the case shown in FIG. 19, the TCI state ID (TCI state #2) notified for BWP / CC2 by DCI format 1_3 is ignored.

[0111] In option 2-2-1, one CC selected from two or more CCs included in the set of cells (i.e., the CC corresponding to the TCI state ID applied to the CC included in the cell set) may be any one of the two or more CCs included in the cell set. The one CC may be selected based on a condition. The condition may be a condition for selecting the CC with the largest serving cell index or a condition for selecting the CC with the smallest serving cell index among the two or more CCs included in the set of cells (or / and two or more CCs included in the cell set). The one CC may be configured by an RRC message or specified by the MAC CE. The condition for selecting the one CC may be configured by an RRC message or specified by the MAC CE.

[0112] In option 2-2-2, as shown in Fig. 20, DCI format 1_3 may specify an index of the TCI state table for each of two or more CCs included in a cell set (BWP / CC1 & BWP / CC2 in Fig. 20). In other words, DCI format 1_3 may specify one index (i.e., one TCI state) for one cell set.

[0113] Specifically, similar to option 2-2-1, the index of the TCI state table (TCI state (TCI-DCI-1-3) in FIG. 20) that associates the combination of each TCI state of the CC included in the set of cells with an index may be specified by the TCI field included in DCI format 1_3.

[0114] Under these conditions, entries in the TCI state table that can specify a TCI state may be defined with two or more CCs included in a cell set as one unit. Therefore, the same TCI state can be specified for two or more CCs included in a cell set by the TCI field included in DCI format 1_3.

[0115] In Option 2-2, each of the CCs included in the set of cells may be read as each of the CCs included in the set of cells or each of the cell sets.

[0116] Option 2-3 explains the case where a CC-common TCI pool is configured for two or more CCs to which the Rel-17 Unified TCI applies. The CC-common TCI pool may be a TCI state list configured only for the reference BWP / CC among the CCs included in the cell set in the Rel-16 TCI update. The following options are possible for Option 2-3:

[0117] In Option 2-3-1, as shown in Figure 21, the value specified by the TCI field included in DCI format 1_3 (index of the TCI state table) may be interpreted as an index of the CC-common TCI pool corresponding to the reference BWP / CC. In Figure 21, since BWP / CC1 is the reference BWP / CC, the TCI state ID corresponding to TCI state #1 corresponding to BWP / CC1 may be interpreted as an index of the CC-common TCI pool.

[0118] In option 2-3-2, as shown in Figure 22, the value specified by the TCI field included in DCI format 1_3 may be interpreted as an index of the CC-common TCI pool. In Figure 21, since BWP / CC1 is the reference BWP / CC, the TCI state ID specifying TCI state #1 corresponding to BWP / CC1 may be interpreted as an index of the CC-common TCI pool. Note that in the case shown in Figure 21, DCI format 1_3 does not need to include the TCI fields of BWP / CC2 and BWP / CC3.

[0119] Note that the difference between Option 2-3-2 and Option 2-3-1 is that the TCI state ID specified by the TCI field included in DCI format 1_3 is used, rather than the TCI state ID of the TCI state corresponding to the referenced BWP / CC identified by the index in the TCI state table.

[0120] (4.3) Operation Example 3 In Operation Example 3, a case will be described in which DCI format 1_3 is used for notification of Unified TCI without performing DL assignment. For Operation Example 3, the following options are possible.

[0121] In option 3-1, when the CRC of DCI format 1_3 is scrambled with C-RNTI or MCS-C-RNTI, DCI format 1_3 may be used to signal Unified TCI without performing DL assignment.

[0122] In option 3-2, the fact that DCI format 1_3 is used for notification of Unified TCI without performing DL assignment may be notified by the following fields having the following values:

[0123] For example, the RV field may be set to "1" for all cells included in the set of cells, the MCS field may be set to "1" for all cells included in the set of cells, and the NDI field may be set to "0" for all cells included in the set of cells.

[0124] The FDRA Type 0 field may be set to "0" for all cells included in the set of cells, the FDRA Type 1 field may be set to "1" for all cells included in the set of cells, and the FDRA Type dynamicSwitch field may be set to "0" for all cells included in the set of cells.

[0125] In option 3-3, it may be indicated that DCI format 1_3 is used for notification of Unified TCI by a combination of values of fields other than those exemplified in option 3-2, together with the fields exemplified in option 3-2, or without using the fields exemplified in option 3-2.

[0126] In option 3-4, whether DCI format 1_3 is used for notification of Unified TCI without performing DL assignment or whether DCI format 1_3 is used for notification of SCell dormancy without performing DL assignment may be configured or signaled. The configuration or signaling may be performed by RRC, MAC CE, or DCI.

[0127] When DCI format 1_3 is used for reporting SCell dormancy without performing DL assignment, the RNTI may be the same as option 3-1, and the values of each field may be the same as option 3-2.

[0128] In the operation example 3, two or more options selected from option 3-1 to option 3-4 may be combined.

[0129] (5) Actions and Effects In the embodiment, when a CC (cell set) to which the same TCI state as that of a CC (set of cells) scheduled in DCI format 1_3 is applied is configured, the UE 200 applies the same TCI state to the CCs included in the cell set without assuming that different TCI states are specified for the CCs included in the cell set. According to this configuration, in a case where Single DCI Multi-carrier PDSCH / PUSCH scheduling is configured, it is possible to appropriately operate a mechanism for applying the same TCI state to two or more CCs.

[0130] In the embodiment, the UE 200 receives DCI format 1_3 that specifies a TCI state common to two or more CCs included in the set of cells. With this configuration, even if two or more CCs included in the cell set are included in the set of cells, the same TCI state can be applied to the two or more CCs included in the cell set.

[0131] In the embodiment, the UE 200 applies one TCI state selected from the TCI states corresponding to each of the two or more CCs included in the set of cells to the two or more CCs included in the cell set. With this configuration, even if the two or more CCs included in the cell set are included in the set of cells, the same TCI state can be applied to the two or more CCs included in the cell set.

[0160] Software, instructions, information, etc. may also be transmitted or received over a transmission medium. For example, if software is transmitted from a website, server, or other remote source using wired technologies (such as coaxial cable, fiber optic cable, twisted pair, Digital Subscriber Line (DSL)), and / or wireless technologies (such as infrared, microwave), then these wired and / or wireless technologies are included within the definition of transmission media.

[0162] Note that terms described in this disclosure and terms necessary for understanding this disclosure may be replaced with terms having the same or similar meanings. For example, at least one of a channel and a symbol may be a signal (signaling). Furthermore, a signal may be a message. Furthermore, a component carrier (CC) may be called a carrier frequency, a cell, a frequency carrier, etc.

[0163] As used in this disclosure, the terms "system" and "network" are used interchangeably.

[0164] Furthermore, the information, parameters, etc. described in the present disclosure may be expressed using absolute values, may be expressed using relative values from a predetermined value, or may be expressed using other corresponding information. For example, a radio resource may be indicated by an index.

[0165] The names used for the above-described parameters are not intended to be limiting in any way. Furthermore, the mathematical expressions using these parameters may differ from those explicitly disclosed in this disclosure. The various channels (e.g., PUCCH, PDCCH, etc.) and information elements may be identified by any suitable names, and therefore the various names assigned to these various channels and information elements are not intended to be limiting in any way.

[0166] In this disclosure, terms such as "base station (BS)," "radio base station," "fixed station," "NodeB," "eNodeB (eNB)," "gNodeB (gNB)," "access point," "transmission point," "reception point," "transmission / reception point," "cell," "sector," "cell group," "carrier," and "component carrier" may be used interchangeably. Base stations may also be referred to by terms such as macrocell, small cell, femtocell, and picocell.

[0167] A base station can accommodate one or more (e.g., three) cells (also called sectors). When a base station accommodates multiple cells, the overall coverage area of the base station can be divided into multiple smaller areas, and each smaller area can be provided with communication services by a base station subsystem (e.g., a small indoor base station (Remote Radio Head: RRH)).

[0168] The terms "cell" or "sector" refer to part or all of the coverage area of a base station and / or base station subsystem that provides communication services within that coverage area.

[0169] In the present disclosure, the base station transmitting information to a terminal may be interpreted as the base station instructing the terminal to control or operate based on the information.

[0170] In this disclosure, the terms "Mobile Station (MS)," "user terminal," "User Equipment (UE)," "terminal," etc. may be used interchangeably.

[0171] A mobile station may also be referred to by those skilled in the art as a subscriber station, mobile unit, subscriber unit, wireless unit, remote unit, mobile device, wireless device, wireless communication device, remote device, mobile subscriber station, access terminal, mobile terminal, wireless terminal, remote terminal, handset, user agent, mobile client, client, or some other suitable terminology.

[0172] At least one of the base station and the mobile station may be referred to as a transmitting device, a receiving device, a communication device, etc. At least one of the base station and the mobile station may be a device mounted on a mobile object, the mobile object itself, etc. The mobile object may be a vehicle (e.g., a car, an airplane, etc.), an unmanned mobile object (e.g., a drone, an autonomous vehicle, etc.), or a robot (manned or unmanned). At least one of the base station and the mobile station may also include devices that do not necessarily move during communication operations. For example, at least one of the base station and the mobile station may be an Internet of Things (IoT) device such as a sensor.

[0173] Furthermore, a base station in the present disclosure may be read as a mobile station (user terminal, the same applies hereinafter). For example, the aspects / embodiments of the present disclosure may be applied to a configuration in which communication between a base station and a mobile station is replaced with communication between multiple mobile stations (which may be called, for example, Device-to-Device (D2D) or Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X)). In this case, the mobile station may be configured to have the functions of a base station. Furthermore, terms such as "uplink" and "downlink" may be read as terms corresponding to terminal-to-terminal communication (for example, "side"). For example, terms such as an uplink channel and a downlink channel may be read as a side channel.

[0174] Similarly, a mobile station in the present disclosure may be interpreted as a base station, in which case the base station may have the functions of a mobile station.

[0175] A radio frame may be composed of one or more frames in the time domain, each of which may be called a subframe.

[0176] A subframe may further be composed of one or more slots in the time domain, and may have a fixed time length (e.g., 1 ms) that is independent of numerology.

[0177] Numerology may be a communication parameter applied to the transmission and / or reception of a signal or channel, and may indicate, for example, at least one of a subcarrier spacing (SCS), a bandwidth, a symbol length, a cyclic prefix length, a transmission time interval (TTI), a number of symbols per TTI, a radio frame structure, a particular filtering operation performed by a transceiver in the frequency domain, a particular windowing operation performed by a transceiver in the time domain, etc.

[0178] A slot may consist of one or more symbols in the time domain (such as Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) symbols, Single Carrier Frequency Division Multiple Access (SC-FDMA) symbols, etc.) A slot may be a numerology-based time unit.

[0179] A slot may include multiple minislots. Each minislot may consist of one or multiple symbols in the time domain. A minislot may also be called a subslot. A minislot may consist of fewer symbols than a slot. A PDSCH (or PUSCH) transmitted in a time unit larger than a minislot may be called PDSCH (or PUSCH) mapping type A. A PDSCH (or PUSCH) transmitted using a minislot may be called PDSCH (or PUSCH) mapping type B.

[0180] The radio frame, subframe, slot, minislot, and symbol all represent time units for transmitting signals, and may be referred to by other names corresponding to the radio frame, subframe, slot, minislot, and symbol.

[0181] For example, one subframe may be referred to as a transmission time interval (TTI), multiple consecutive subframes may be referred to as a TTI, or one slot or one minislot may be referred to as a TTI. That is, at least one of the subframe and the TTI may be a subframe (1 ms) in existing LTE, a period shorter than 1 ms (e.g., 1-13 symbols), or a period longer than 1 ms. Note that the unit representing the TTI may be referred to as a slot, minislot, etc. instead of a subframe.

[0182] Here, TTI refers to, for example, the smallest time unit of a schedule in wireless communication. For example, in an LTE system, a base station schedules each user terminal to allocate radio resources (such as frequency bandwidth and transmission power that can be used by each user terminal) in TTI units. Note that the definition of TTI is not limited to this.

[0183] The TTI may be a transmission time unit for a channel-encoded data packet (transport block), a code block, a code word, etc., or may be a processing unit for scheduling, link adaptation, etc. When a TTI is given, the time interval (e.g., the number of symbols) to which a transport block, a code block, a code word, etc. is actually mapped may be shorter than the TTI.

[0184] In addition, when one slot or one minislot is called a TTI, one or more TTIs (i.e., one or more slots or one or more minislots) may be the minimum time unit of the schedule, and the number of slots (minislots) constituting the minimum time unit of the schedule may be controlled.

[0185] A TTI having a time length of 1 ms may be called a regular TTI (TTI in LTE Rel. 8-12), normal TTI, long TTI, regular subframe, normal subframe, long subframe, slot, etc. A TTI shorter than a regular TTI may be called a shortened TTI, short TTI, partial or fractional TTI, shortened subframe, short subframe, minislot, subslot, slot, etc.

[0186] In addition, a long TTI (e.g., a normal TTI, a subframe, etc.) may be interpreted as a TTI having a time length of more than 1 ms, and a short TTI (e.g., a shortened TTI, etc.) may be interpreted as a TTI having a TTI length shorter than the TTI length of a long TTI and equal to or greater than 1 ms.

[0187] A resource block (RB) is a resource allocation unit in the time domain and the frequency domain, and may include one or more consecutive subcarriers in the frequency domain. The number of subcarriers included in an RB may be the same regardless of numerology, for example, 12. The number of subcarriers included in an RB may be determined based on numerology.

[0188] The time domain of an RB may include one or more symbols and may have a length of one slot, one minislot, one subframe, or one TTI. One TTI, one subframe, etc. may each be composed of one or more resource blocks.

[0189] Note that one or more RBs may also be called a physical resource block (PRB), a sub-carrier group (SCG), a resource element group (REG), a PRB pair, an RB pair, etc.

[0190] Furthermore, a resource block may be composed of one or more resource elements (REs). For example, one RE may be a radio resource region of one subcarrier and one symbol.

[0191] A Bandwidth Part (BWP) (which may also be referred to as a fractional bandwidth) may represent a subset of contiguous common resource blocks (RBs) for a given numerology on a given carrier, where the common RBs may be identified by their index relative to a common reference point of the carrier. PRBs may be defined in a given BWP and numbered within that BWP.

[0192] The BWP may include a BWP for UL (UL BWP) and a BWP for DL (DL BWP). One or more BWPs may be configured for a UE within one carrier.

[0193] At least one of the configured BWPs may be active, and the UE may not expect to transmit or receive a given signal / channel outside the active BWP. Note that the terms "cell," "carrier," etc. in this disclosure may be read as "BWP."

[0194] The above-described structures of radio frames, subframes, slots, minislots, symbols, etc. are merely examples. For example, the number of subframes included in a radio frame, the number of slots per subframe or radio frame, the number of minislots included in a slot, the number of symbols and RBs included in a slot or minislot, the number of subcarriers included in an RB, the number of symbols in a TTI, the symbol length, the cyclic prefix (CP) length, etc. may be variously changed.

[0195] The terms "connected," "coupled," or any variation thereof, refer to any direct or indirect connection or coupling between two or more elements, and may include the presence of one or more intermediate elements between two elements that are "connected" or "coupled" to each other. The coupling or connection between elements may be physical, logical, or a combination thereof. For example, "connected" may be read as "access." As used in this disclosure, two elements may be considered to be "connected" or "coupled" to each other using one or more wires, cables, and / or printed electrical connections, as well as electromagnetic energy having wavelengths in the radio frequency range, microwave range, and optical (both visible and invisible) range, as some non-limiting and non-exhaustive examples.

[0196] The reference signal may also be abbreviated as Reference Signal (RS) and may be called a pilot depending on the applicable standard.

[0197] As used in this disclosure, the phrase "based on" does not mean "based only on," unless expressly stated otherwise. In other words, the phrase "based on" means both "based only on" and "based at least on."

[0198] The "means" in the configuration of each of the above devices may be replaced with "part," "circuit," "device," etc.

[0199] As used in this disclosure, any reference to an element using a designation such as "first," "second," etc. does not generally limit the quantity or order of those elements. These designations may be used in this disclosure as a convenient method of distinguishing between two or more elements. Thus, a reference to a first and a second element does not imply that only two elements may be employed therein or that the first element must precede the second element in some way.

[0200] When the terms "include," "including," and variations thereof are used in this disclosure, these terms are intended to be inclusive, similar to the term "comprising." Furthermore, when the term "or" is used in this disclosure, it is not intended to be an exclusive or.

[0201] In this disclosure, where articles are added by translation, such as a, an, and the in English, the disclosure may include that the nouns following these articles are in the plural form.

[0202] As used in this disclosure, the terms "determining" and "determining" may encompass a wide variety of actions. "Determining" and "determining" may include, for example, judging, calculating, computing, processing, deriving, investigating, looking up, searching, inquiring (e.g., searching in a table, database, or other data structure), ascertaining, and the like. "Determining" and "determining" may also include receiving (e.g., receiving information), transmitting (e.g., sending information), input, output, accessing (e.g., accessing data in memory), and the like. Furthermore, "judgment" and "decision" can include regarding resolving, selecting, choosing, establishing, comparing, etc. as having been "judged" or "decided." In other words, "judgment" and "decision" can include regarding some action as having been "judged" or "decided." Furthermore, "judgment (decision)" can be interpreted as "assuming," "expecting," "considering," etc.

[0203] In the present disclosure, the term "A and B are different" may mean "A and B are different from each other." The term may also mean "A and B are each different from C." Terms such as "separate" and "coupled" may also be interpreted in the same way as "different."
