[0004] This background information is provided to reveal information believed by the applicant to be of possible relevance to the present disclosure. No admission is necessarily intended, nor should be construed, that any one of the preceding information constitutes prior art against the present disclosure.SUMMARY

[0005] In a first aspect, a method applied to a first node is provided by the embodiment of the present disclosure, and the method includes: negotiating with a device to determine a reachability agreement between the device and the first node, where the  reachability agreement indicates a serving area selected by the device among one or more serving areas of the first node, a triggering condition for reporting of reachability information by the device, and a type of the reachability information; and tracking the reachability information reported from the device based on the reachability agreement.

[0006] The first node is designed to negotiate with the device to determine the reachability agreement, for each of the items in the reachability agreement, there are multiple options for the device to choose from according to its actual applications, thereby enhancing the efficiency and relevance of reporting of reachability information, and the first node can track the reachability information reported by the device based on the established reachability agreement, thereby enhancing the network’s monitoring capabilities, and further improving the management and allocation of network resources, leading to better network service quality.

[0007] In a possible implementation of the first aspect, the reachability agreement further indicates whether the reachability information is allowed to be exposed to an another node.

[0008] By negotiating whether to expose the reachability information of the device to the another node (e.g., third parties) , it is ensured that the device’s reachability information is handled securely and in accordance with privacy policies, and flexibility in network management can be provided, thus optimizing network resource management.

[0009] In a possible implementation of the first aspect, the triggering condition for the reporting of the reachability information is triggering the reporting of the reachability information at a time interval; where the reachability agreement further indicates the time interval and whether the time interval is defined by the  first node or the device.

[0010] Since the time interval for the reporting of the reachability information can be defined by the first node or the device, the reporting of the reachability information can be more flexible, and the management and allocation of network resources can be optimized.

[0011] In a possible implementation of the first aspect, the triggering condition is reported by the device accompanying the reporting of the reachability information.

[0012] By reporting the reachability information along with the triggering condition, the first node can acquire more comprehensive information about the reachability information, it can be ensured that the comprehensiveness and the reliability of the reporting of the reachability information.

[0013] In a possible implementation of the first aspect, the device has a connection with the first node, where the connection is used for signaling exchanging between the device and the first node on a control and management (C / M) plane.

[0014] In this way, the pre-condition of the tracking / updating the reachability information by the first node is met, so as to ensure the normal execution of the reachability management.

[0015] In a possible implementation of the first aspect, the triggering condition for the reporting of the reachability information is selected by the device from following items during the negotiation: triggering the reporting of the reachability information at a time interval; triggering the reporting of the reachability information when the device crosses a boundary of a zone inside the  serving area; triggering the reporting of the reachability information when the device crosses a boundary of a cell inside the serving  area; or, triggering the reporting of the reachability information when the device transitions from an active state to an idle  state.

[0016] Since there are multiple options for negotiating the triggering condition, the tracking / updating the reachability information can be realized in a more flexible way, thereby enhancing the network’s monitoring capabilities, and further improving the management and allocation of network resources, leading to better network service quality.

[0017] In a possible implementation of the first aspect, the type of the reachability information is selected by the device from following items during the negotiation: information for identifying a serving radio access network (RAN) ; information for identifying a zone in which the device resides; or, information about a geographic coordinate of the device.

[0018] Since there are multiple options for negotiating the type of the reachability information, the tracking / updating the reachability information can be realized in a more flexible way, thereby enhancing the network’s monitoring capabilities, and further improving the management and allocation of network resources, leading to better network service quality.

[0019] In a second aspect, a method applied to a device is provided by the embodiment of the present disclosure, and the method includes: upon determining that a triggering condition is met, reporting reachability information to a first node based on a  reachability agreement established between the device and the first node, where the reachability agreement indicates a serving area selected by the device among one or more serving areas of the first node, the triggering condition, and a type of the reachability information.

[0020] The device is configured to negotiate with the first node to determine the reachability agreement, for each of the items in the reachability agreement, there are multiple options for the device to choose from according to its actual applications, thereby enhancing the efficiency and relevance of reporting of reachability information, and the first node can track the reachability information reported by the device based on the established reachability agreement, thereby enhancing the network’s monitoring capabilities, and further improving the management and allocation of network resources, leading to better network service quality.

[0021] In a third aspect, a method applied to a first node is provided by the embodiment of the present disclosure, and the method includes: negotiating with a device to establish a paging agreement between the first node and the device, where the paging  agreement indicates a serving area selected by the device among one or more serving areas of the first node and at least one paging parameter for paging the device when the device is on an idle state.

[0022] In this way, the device is allowed to select its service area and there is at least one paging parameter that to be negotiated in the paging agreement, so as to realize personalized paging configuration for the device, and optimize the paging process based on device preferences.

[0023] In a possible implementation of the third aspect, the at least one paging parameter includes a tracking area and a paging schedule, the tracking area is an area within which the device is paged, the paging schedule is a time interval for paging the device.

[0024] By including the tracking area and the paging schedule in the paging agreement, it can be ensured that the reliability of the subsequent paging process.

[0025] In a possible implementation of the third aspect, the paging agreement further indicates at least one of: whether the tracking area is defined by the first node or the device; or whether the paging schedule is defined by the first node or the device.

[0026] Since the tracking area and / or the paging schedule in the paging agreement can be defined by the first node or the device, the negotiation of the paging agreement can be more flexible, and the management and allocation of network resources can be optimized.

[0027] In a possible implementation of the third aspect, the method further includes: transmitting a paging request to a second node within the tracking area, where the paging request indicates the device  and the paging schedule; receiving a paging response corresponding to the paging request from the second node, where the paging response  indicates the device, the second node and a result of the paging.

[0028] The first node calls, via transmission of the paging request, the second node to page the device on the idle state, and receives feedback on whether the device has been successfully located, which is useful for managing and optimizing the paging process in a network, particularly in scenarios where tracking device status and network connectivity is necessary.

[0029] In a possible implementation of the third aspect, the paging request includes at least one of a first identifier of the device or a second identifier of the device, where the first identifier is assigned for the paging, and the second identifier is assigned in response to an authorization for the device to access a system to which the first node and the second node belong.

[0030] Using specific identifier (s) for initiate the paging could ensure accurate paging of a target device, and paging the device based on at least one of the first identifier and the second identifier enhances reliability and flexibility as if one identifier fails or is not available, the second node can still page the device using the other identifier, thereby maintaining effective communication and network operation.

[0031] In a possible implementation of the third aspect, the paging response includes information for identifying the second node, the at least one of the first identifier or the second identifier, and the result of the paging.

[0032] By including the information for identifying the first node, the identifier of the device and the paging result in the paging response, the accuracy and the reliability of the paging process can be ensured.

[0033] In a possible implementation of the third aspect, the at least one paging parameter further includes a first identifier of the device assigned for the paging.

[0034] By including the identifier for the paging the device in the paging parameter, the paging overhead can be reduced.

[0035] In a fourth aspect, a method applied to a first node is provided by the embodiment of the present disclosure, and the method includes: receiving an identification assignment request from an another node, where the identification assignment request is  used for requesting assignment of identification information, the identification information is used for identifying a connection which is to be established between a device and the first node, and the identification assignment request indicates the device; transmitting an identification assignment response in response to the identification assignment request, where the  identification assignment response indicates the identification information and a first serving gateway to which the first node is connected, the first serving gateway is used for establishing the connection.

[0036] Upon receiving the identification assignment request, the first node can effectively and accurately assign the identification information for the device, so as to support the establishment of the connection between the device and the first node, thereby improving the efficiency of the device to access the network system.

[0037] In a possible implementation of the fourth aspect, before receiving the identification assignment request, a first session has been established and the device has been subscribed to the first node, where the first session is a logical connection between the device and a second serving gateway to which the device is connected on a control and management (C / M) plane.

[0038] In this way, the pre-condition of the identification assignment is met, so as to ensure the normal execution of the identification assignment.

[0064] In a possible implementation of the seventh aspect, the reachability information indicates the device being on the idle state; where the method further includes: transmitting a paging request to one or more RANs in a tracking area of the device to page the device, where the  paging request indicates the device and a paging schedule for paging the device; receiving one or more paging responses from the one or more RANs, where each paging response indicates a paging  result.

[0065] The first node can call the one or more RANs, based on the paging agreement of the device, to page the device when the device is on the idle, so that the reachability information can still be achieved when a RAN among the one or more RANs locates the device.

[0066] In a possible implementation of the seventh aspect, where when a paging result of a paging response among the one or more responses indicates a serving RAN of the device,  the reachability information further indicates at least one of following items: information for identifying a serving system where the device locates; information for identifying the serving RAN of the device; or, information for identifying a functionality handling one or more radio bearers (RBs) of the device.

[0067] In a possible implementation of the seventh aspect, the reachability information indicates the device being on the idle state, the reachability information further indicates a paging schedule for paging the device, the paging schedule includes a time when next paging will be conducted for the device.

[0068] In a possible implementation of the seventh aspect, the reachability information indicates the device being on the active state; where the reachability information further indicates at least one of following items: information for identifying a serving system where the device locates; information for identifying a serving RAN of the device; or, information for identifying a functionality handling one or more RBs of the device.

[0069] Incorporating the above information in the reachability information allows for a comprehensive and multidimensional provisioning of the reachability information of the device, which ensures the efficiency of provisioning of the reachability information and facilitates network resource allocation and management.

[0070] In a possible implementation of the seventh aspect, the information for identifying the serving RAN is reported by the device.

[0071] In a possible implementation of the seventh aspect, the reception and the transmission form an action of a reachability information provisioning service provided by the first node, and the action is subscribed by the another node, and the another node provides an A-CAP service.

[0072] The first node is designed to perform the action including the reception and the transmission, so as to improve the efficiency of reachability information provisioning and realize the automation of reachability information provisioning.

[0073] In a possible implementation of the seventh aspect, the first provisioning request further indicates information for identifying the action.

[0074] By including the information for identifying the action in the request, the first node can correctly perform the action based on the ID of the action.

[0075] In an eighth aspect, a method applied to a first node is provided by the embodiment of the present disclosure, and the method includes: receiving a second provisioning request from an another node, where the second provisioning request is used for  requesting information about at least one RB of a device, and the second provisioning request indicates the device; where the at least one RB is established between the device and a serving RAN of the device; transmitting a second provisioning response in response to the second provisioning request, where the second  provisioning response includes information for identifying the serving RAN, information about a type of each of the at least one RB and information for identifying each of the at least one RB.

[0076] By indicating the device in the second provisioning request, the first node can effectively and accurately determine the RB establishment information related to the device, and provide the same to the another node or other node (s) , which ensures the efficiency of provisioning the RB establishment information from the first node to the another node and facilitates network resource allocation and management.

[0077] In a possible implementation of the eighth aspect, the second provisioning request includes an identifier of the device, and the identifier is assigned in response to an authorization for the device to access a system to which the first node and the another node belong.

[0078] By indicating the device in the second provisioning request, the first node can effectively and accurately determine the RB establishment information related to the device, and provide the same to the another node or other node (s) , which ensures the efficiency of provisioning the RB establishment information from the first node to the another node and facilitates network resource allocation and management.

[0079] In a possible implementation of the eighth aspect, the at least one RB is used for carrying traffic during a first session and / or a second session; where the first session a logical connection established between the device and a C / M serving gateway of the device  connected to the serving RAN; where the second session is a logical connection established between the device and a data serving gateway of the  device connected to the serving RAN.

[0080] In a possible implementation of the eighth aspect, the first session includes a first uplink session from the device to the C / M serving gateway and a first downlink session from the C / M serving gateway to the device, and the second session includes a second uplink session from the device to the data serving gateway and a second downlink session from the data serving gateway to the device; where the type of each of the at least one RB is one of following: a C / M RB type for carrying control signaling traffic during the first uplink session; a C / M RB type for carrying control signaling traffic during the first downlink session; a data RB type for carrying data traffic during the second uplink session; or, a data RB type for carrying data traffic during the second downlink session.

[0081] Incorporating the above information in the second provisioning response allows for a comprehensive and multidimensional provisioning of the RB establishment information to the another node, which ensures the efficiency of provisioning of the RB establishment information and facilitates network resource allocation and management.

[0082] In a possible implementation of the eighth aspect, before receiving the second provisioning request, the at least one RB has been established.

[0083] In this way, the pre-condition of the provisioning of the RB establishment information is met, so as to ensure the normal execution of the provisioning of the RB establishment information.

[0084] In a possible implementation of the eighth aspect, for a respective RB of the at least one RB, the respective RB is an uplink RB from the device to the first node or a downlink RB from the first node to the device; the information for identifying the respective RB includes information for identifying the uplink RB or information  for identifying the downlink RB.

[0085] By distinguishing between the uplink RB and the downlink RB, the management and allocation of network resources can be optimized, leading to better network service quality.

[0086] In a possible implementation of the eighth aspect, the reception and the transmission form an action of a RB establishment information provisioning service provided by the first node, and the action is subscribed by the another node, and the another node provides an A-CAP service or a connecting service.

[0087] The first node is designed to perform the action including the reception and the transmission, so as to improve the efficiency of provisioning of the RB establishment information and realize the automation of provisioning of the RB establishment information.

[0088] In a possible implementation of the eighth aspect, the second provisioning request further indicates information for identifying the action.

[0089] By including the information for identifying the action in the request, the first node can correctly perform the action based on the ID of the action.

[0090] In a ninth aspect, a method applied to a first node is provided by the embodiment of the present disclosure, and the method includes: receiving a third provisioning request from an another node, where the third provisioning request is used for  requesting mobility information of a device during a time period, and the third provisioning request indicates the device and the time period; transmitting a third provisioning response in response to the third provisioning request, where the third provisioning  response indicates a request result of the third provisioning request.

[0091] By indicating the device and the time period in the third provisioning request, the first node can effectively and accurately determine the mobility information of the device during the time period, and provide the same to the another node or other node (s) , which ensures the efficiency of provisioning the mobility information from the first node to the another node and facilitates network resource allocation and management.

[0092] In a possible implementation of the ninth aspect, the third provisioning request includes an identifier of the device, and the identifier is assigned in response to an authorization for the device to access a system to which the first node belongs.

[0093] By including the identifier of the device in the third provisioning request, the first node can effectively and accurately determine the mobility information of the device, and provide the same to the another node or other node (s) , which ensures the efficiency of provisioning the mobility information of the device from the first node to the another node and facilitates network resource allocation and management.

[0094] In a possible implementation of the ninth aspect, when the mobility information is allowed to be exposed to the another node, the request result includes following items: an identifier of the device; a type of the mobility information; the mobility information.

[0095] Incorporating the above information in the request result allows for a comprehensive and multidimensional provisioning of the mobility information to the another node, which ensures the efficiency of provisioning of the mobility information and facilitates network resource allocation and management.

[0096] In a possible implementation of the ninth aspect, the type of the mobility information is one or more of following items: information about one or more RANs to which the device attaches during the time period; information about one or more zones in which the device resides during the time period; or, information about one or more geographic coordinates of the device during the time period.

[0097] During the device’s subscription to the first node, it may have subscribed to several types of mobile information, and thus provisioning of the mobile information based on the subscription can be achieved in a more flexible way, thereby enhancing the management and allocation of network resources, leading to better network service quality.

[0098] In a possible implementation of the ninth aspect, when the mobility information is not allowed to be exposed to the another node, the request result indicates the mobility information is none.

[0099] In this way, the mobility information of the device can be handled securely and in accordance with privacy policies, and provides flexibility in network management, thus optimizing network resource management.

[0100] In a possible implementation of the ninth aspect, the reception and the transmission form an action of a mobility record provisioning service provided by the first node, and the action is subscribed by the another node.

[0101] The first node is designed to perform the action including the reception and the transmission, so as to improve the efficiency of the mobility information provisioning and realize the automation of the mobility information provisioning.

[0102] In a possible implementation of the ninth aspect, the third provisioning request further indicates information for identifying the action.

[0103] By including the information for identifying the action in the request, the first node can correctly perform the action based on the ID of the action.

[0104] In a tenth aspect, a method applied to a first node is provided by the embodiment of the present disclosure, and the method includes: determining that a trigger condition is satisfied; and transmitting an establishment request to a second node, where the establishment request is used for requesting  establishment of one or more RBs between the device and the second node, and the establishment request indicates a third node to which the device is attached and one or more RBs between the device and the third node.

[0105] When the trigger condition is satisfied, the first node can quickly find a candidate attachment (i.e., second node) for the device, and transmits the necessary information to the second node for pre-establishing the connection between the device and the second node, which avoids a situation where the device has no attachment point, and ensures the quality of the device’s communication with the network system.

[0106] In a possible implementation of the tenth aspect, the establishment request includes an identifier of the device, information for identifying the third node and at least one of following items: information for identifying the second node; a number of at least one first RB among the one or more RBs between the device and the third node, where the at  least one first RB is used for carrying control signaling traffic during at least one first session; a number of at least one second RB among the one or more RBs between the device and the third node, where the  at least one second RB is used for carrying data traffic during at least one second session; a number of at least one first session; quality of service (QoS) information corresponding to the at least one first session; a number of at least one second session; QoS information corresponding to the at least one second session; information for identifying the at least one first session; information for identifying the at least one second session; or, a possibility of the device moving into a coverage of the second node; where the identifier is assigned in response to an authorization for the device to access a system to which the first  node belongs; where the first session is a logical connection established between the device and a C / M serving gateway of the  device connected to the third node, the second session is a logical connection established between the device and a data serving gateway of the device connected to the third node.

[0107] Incorporating the above information in the establishment request allows for a comprehensive and multidimensional sharing of information related to pre-establishment of the candidate attachment point and information related to the current attachment point of the device with the second node, which ensures the efficiency of the pre-establishment of the candidate attachment point and ensures the quality of the device’s communication with the network system.

[0108] In a possible implementation of the tenth aspect, the trigger condition includes: a possibility of the device moving into a coverage of the second node being greater than a preset threshold.

[0109] In this way, the pre-condition of the pre-establishment of the candidate attachment point for the device is met, so as to ensure the normal execution of the pre-establishment of the candidate attachment point.

[0110] In a possible implementation of the tenth aspect, the determination and the transmission form an action of a pre-establishment service provided by the first node, and the action is subscribed by the second node.

[0111] The first node is designed to perform the action including the determination and the transmission, so as to improve the efficiency of pre-establishment of the candidate attachment point for the device and realize the automation of pre-establishment the device.

[0112] In an eleventh aspect, a method applied to a first node is provided by the embodiment of the present disclosure, and the method includes: reporting execution status of an operation in a mission session to an another node, where the mission session is used  for providing a mission service through one or more operations conducted by one or more nodes, the one or more nodes includes the first node, the one or more operations includes the operation; where the execution status indicates that the operation is failed and a reason of a failure for the operation, or the  execution status indicates that the operation is successful.

[0113] In the execution process of the mission session by the one or more nodes, each of the one or more nodes (e.g., first node) could report the execution status to the another node, so that the another node can timely acquire the execution status of the operation, and subsequently re-configure the mission session and re-program provisioning of mission service when the operation is failed, which ensures the reliability of the execution of the mission session and further improves the management and allocation of network resources.

[0114] In a possible implementation of the eleventh aspect, the execution status further indicates: information for identifying the mission session; information for identifying the operation.

[0115] By indicating the above two information in the execution status, the another node can effectively and accurately locate which operation in which mission has the error, thereby improving the efficiency of the execution of the mission session.

[0116] In a possible implementation of the eleventh aspect, the reason of the failure for the operation includes one or more of: the operation being not executed by a node which is responsible for executing the operation among the one or more  nodes; no acknowledgement of the operation is received; one or more output parameters being missing or having mistake in an execution result of the operation; one or more input parameters for executing the operation being missing or having mistake.

[0117] By indicating the specific reason of the failure for the operation in the execution status, it facilitates the anther node to gain a more comprehensive understanding of the operation, thereby enhancing the effectiveness of subsequent error corrections and ensuring the reliability of the execution of the mission session.

[0118] In a possible implementation of the eleventh aspect, before the reporting, the first node has been configured to participate in a C / M plane operation of the mission session.

[0119] In this way, the pre-condition of reporting of the mission execution status is met, so as to ensure the normal execution of the reporting of the mission execution status.

[0120] In a possible implementation of the eleventh aspect, the reporting of the execution status is triggered after execution of the mission session; or, the reporting of the execution status is triggered by an abnormality detected during execution of the operation.

[0121] In this way, different occasions are provided for the reporting, the flexibility of the reporting and the reliability of the execution of the mission session can be ensured, and the management and allocation of network resources can be further improved.

[0122] In a possible implementation of the eleventh aspect, the reporting is an action of a mission execution status update service provided by the first node, and the action is subscribed by the another node, and the another node provides an A-CAP service.

[0123] The first node is designed to perform the action including the reporting, so as to improve the efficiency of the reporting of the mission execution status and realize the reporting of the mission execution status.

[0124] In a twelfth aspect, a method applied to an another node is provided by the embodiment of the present disclosure, and the method includes: receiving execution status of an operation in a mission session from a first node, where the mission session is used  for providing a mission service through one or more operations conducted by one or more nodes, the one or more operations includes the operation; where the execution status indicates that the operation is failed and a reason of a failure for the operation, or the  execution status indicates that the operation is successful.

[0125] In the execution process of the mission session by the one or more nodes, each of the one or more nodes (e.g., first node) could report the execution status to the another node, so that the another node can timely acquire the execution status of the operation, and subsequently re-configure the mission session and re-program provisioning of mission service when the operation is failed, which ensures the reliability of the execution of the mission session and further improves the management and allocation of network resources.

[0126] In a possible implementation of the twelfth aspect, the execution status indicates that the operation is failed, and the method further includes: recording the execution status of the operation; and / or, re-configuring the mission session based on the execution status of the operation.

[0127] In this way, the reliability of the execution of the mission session can be ensured, and the management and allocation of network resources can be further improved.

[0251] In 6G system, both new 6G XaaS services and network C / M XaaS services are categorized as basic XaaS services, a XaaS service (which is also referred to as service herein) is defined as a NC. The NCs at the C / M layer may be referred to as C / M NCs, and the NCs at the service layer may be referred to as data NCs.

[0252] There would be downlink and uplink RBs, downlink and uplink sessions, downlink and uplink device-NC connections, which are not shown in details.

[0253] With respect to the RBs between the device and the RAN shown in FIG. 2B, the RBs generally include device CN RB and device RAN RB. The device CN RB includes the above device CN-C / M RB and device CN-data RB, and the device RAN RB includes the above device RAN-C / M RB and device RAN-data RB. From the perspective of directions, the RB may be a downlink RB from RAN to a wireless device or an uplink RB from the wireless device to RAN, so the RB can be of a downlink type or an uplink type, the downlink and uplink RBs may be referred to as a pair of RBs; from the perspective of traffic types, the RB could be a C / M RB for carrying control signaling traffic on the C / M plane or a data RB for carrying data traffic on the data plane, so the RB can be of a C / M type or a data type; from the perspective of traffic destinations, the RB could be called a RAN-RB or a CN-RB, the RAN-RB is a RB that carries signaling messages or data traffic between a wireless device and RAN, the CN-RB is a RB that carries signaling messages or data traffic between a device and core network (CN) on the over-the-air interface, so in this case, the RB can be of a RAN-RB type or a CN-RB type. When combining the above different perspectives, different RBs may be downlink / uplink RAN-C / M RB (RAN-RB for carrying signaling messages on the C / M plane) , downlink / uplink RAN-data RB (RAN-RB for carrying data traffic on the data plane) , downlink / uplink CN-C / M RB (CN-RB for carrying signaling messages on the C / M plane) , downlink / uplink CN-data RB (CN-RB for carrying data traffic on the data plane) . That is, a RAN-RB may be an uplink / downlink RAN-C / M RB or RAN-data RB, a CN-RB could be an uplink / downlink CN C / M RB or CN-data RB; a C / M RB could be an uplink / downlink RAN-C / M RB or uplink / downlink CN-C / M RB, a data RB could be an uplink / downlink RAN-data RB or uplink / downlink CN-data RB.

[0254] With respect to the session related to a wireless device, from the perspective of traffic types, the session could be a C / M session which is a logical connection between a wireless device and its serving C / M-TW-GW for control signaling exchanging therebetween on the C / M plane, or a data session which is a logical connection between a device and its serving data-TW-GW for data exchanging therebetween on the data plane, so the session can be of a C / M type or a data type; from the perspective of directions, the session may be a downlink session from a serving GW (serving C / M-TW-GW or serving data-TW-GW) to a wireless device or an uplink session from the wireless device to the serving GW, so the session can be of a downlink type or an uplink type, the downlink and uplink sessions may be referred to as a pair of sessions. When combining the above different perspectives, different sessions may be downlink / uplink C / M session (C / M session for control signaling exchanging therebetween on the C / M plane) , or downlink / uplink data session (data session for data exchanging therebetween on the data plane) . That is, a session may be an uplink / downlink C / M session or data session.

[0255] With respect to the NC connection between a wireless device and a NC, from the perspective of traffic types, the NC connection could be a C / M NC connection which is a logical connection between a wireless device and a C / M entity of the NC, or a data NC connection which a logical connection between the wireless device and a data entity of the NC, so the NC connection can be of a C / M type or a data type; from the perspective of directions, the NC connection may be a downlink NC connection from a entity (C / M entity or data entity) of the NC to a wireless device or an uplink NC connection from the wireless device to the entity, so the NC connection can be of a downlink type or an uplink type, the downlink and uplink NC connections may be referred to as a pair of NC connections. When combining the above different perspectives, different NC connections may be downlink / uplink C / M NC connections, or downlink / uplink data NC connections. That is, a NC connection may be an uplink / downlink C / M NC connection or data NC connection.

[0256] As described above, both new 6G XaaS services and network C / M XaaS services are categorized as basic XaaS services, a XaaS service is defined as a NC. Each of these NCs can provide it’s single or a group of specific capabilities to enable 6G system control and management and 6G service provisioning, a NC can provide one or more sub-services, each sub-service being enabled by one or more basic network capabilities, i.e., actions. Each basic network capability or action could be described in a consistent format, and could be AI / LLM (large language model) friendly (for AI enabled full automation) , such a consistent format is defined as a network capability description language (NCDL) .

[0257] In a possible implementation, a XaaS service can be implemented / achieved through execution of one or more actions corresponding to the XaaS service, the one or more actions are used for reflecting one or more capabilities for implementing a requirement of the service, the one or more actions may correspond to the one or more capabilities one-by-one, or a combination of multiple actions may correspond to one capability. Taking a case where the XaaS service is NET4AI service as an example, NET4AI service can provide AI related services to 6G customers or to other NCs. These AI related services can be enabled by its inference capability or sub-service, training capability or sub-service, and model management capability or sub-service. That is, the requirement for NET4AI service can include but is not limited to: a training requirement, an inference requirement, a model management requirement which can be related to storing of a model or a library related to provision of NET4AI service, enhancement / improvement of the model, or the like; for the training requirement, and there could be multiple algorithms / schemes such as algorithm / scheme A, algorithm / scheme B and algorithm / scheme C for implementing the training requirement, then the multiple algorithms / schemes can be regarded as multiple actions corresponding to NET4AI service. It should be noted that here the algorithm / scheme is just an implementation of the action, the action of a service may be characterized in other forms, which are not limited in the implementations of the present disclosure.

[0258] The NCDL defines a language which could be understandable by both parties, i.e., one NC calling the action and another NC executes the action called by the one NC. Different actions will fall into different categories: Type 1: In-out-action, when being called, action codes are run based on input and produce output. (Input-> action-> output) ; Type 2: In –action, when being called, action codes are run based on input and local configuration / update will be  conducted (input->action-> local update) ; Type 3: Out-action: when a local condition (triggering condition) is met, action codes are run to provide output (local  ->action->output) .

[0259] For Type 1 action and Type 2 action, when one NC calling an action of another NC, the one NC gives an NCDL input to the another NC, the NCDL input follows certain agreement for the another to correctly recognize the NCDL input and execute the action. For Type 1 action, the another NC would give an NCDL output corresponding to the NCDL input, this NCDL output may be given to the one NC, or to other NC (s) , which is not limited in the embodiments of the present disclosure. For Type 2 action, the another NC performs local configuration based on the NCDL input, there would be no NCDL output.

[0260] For Type 3 action, there would be no NCDL input, when a local condition (triggering condition) is met, one NC automatically gives an NCDL output to another NC which subscribes to this action.

[0261] For a NCDL of a C / M NC, the input dimensions (NCDL input) can include one or multiple input information without defining corresponding input information format; for a NCDL of a data NC, this dimensions can include one or multiple input data dimensions along with definition of corresponding input data format.

[0262] With respect to the connectivity management (CM) (as a service) in the C / M layer mentioned above, it can be defined as a network capability that is responsible for reachability management of wireless devices. CM provides a capability of reachability management of 6G wireless devices in order to support connectivity establishment between wireless devices and the 6G System.

[0263] The present disclosure proposes a network capability description language (NCDL) for the CM to enable the CM to provide its capabilities to customers. In order to provide this sub-capability, The CM needs to define multiple needed actions (APIs) and provide NCDL of each action.

[0264] The actions of the CM can include, but are not limited to, tracking of device reachability, page operation agreement, NC connection ID assignment, activation of NC connection, provisioning of device reachability information, provisioning of device CN-RB establishment information, provisioning of device mobility history information, triggering of RB pre-establishment, and mission execution status update.

[0265] In the following, different actions of CM will be elaborated in detail. It should be noted that although the actions are described with reference to the first node or CM, but it is not limited to CM, other NCs may also provide similar actions following similar NCDLs. Besides, the execution of following actions will be described from the first node side, when interaction between the first node and other nodes are necessary, it should be understood that corresponding operations would be performed by other nodes. For example, the first node transmitting information to the other node would involve the other node receiving information from the first node, the first node receiving information from the other node would involve the other node transmitting information to the first node.

[0266] In a possible implementation of the present disclosure, the action is tracking of device reachability, the action would have its own name for facilitating subscription of other NCs. For example, the action would be named as a “reachability management action” or “tracking of device reachability” , which is not limited in the embodiments of the present disclosure. As one possible scenario, this action may be used both at subscription of the reachability management service by a device and execution of the action for reporting its reachability information to CM. The tracking, when being executed, would be regarded to fall into the abovementioned Type 2. The present application provides a method for interaction between a first node and a device to implement the action. FIG. 3A shows a schematic flowchart of a method according to one or more embodiments of the present disclosure, which reflects the execution of the action (forming by negotiation and tracking) by the first node. The method includes the following steps.

[0267] S301, the first node negotiates with the device to determine a reachability agreement between the device and the first node.

[0268] S302, the device, upon determining that the triggering condition is met, reports the reachability information to the first node based on the reachability agreement. For example, the device reports the reachability information such as the ID of the RAN, the ID of the zone or the geographic coordinate.

[0269] S303, the first node tracks the reachability information reported from the device based on the reachability agreement.

[0270] The provisioning of the reachability management service by the first node will be reflected by execution of step S301 and S303, the step S302 is simply described herein for ease of understanding.

[0271] In a possible implementation, the first node can provide a CM service in the C / M layer of FIG. 1, which is used for reachability management for the device, and can provide its service / capability through its corresponding C / M function entity / entities implemented on the infrastructure layer of the system shown in FIG. 1; where the C / M function entity / entities support (s) signaling exchanging of the XaaS service on the C / M plane.

[0272] The reachability agreement indicates a serving area selected by the device among one or more serving areas of the first node, a triggering condition for reporting of reachability information by the device, and a type of the reachability information.

[0273] The reachability management service provided by the first node to the device may include the negotiation (phase) and the tracking (phase) . During the negotiation, the first node and the device communicate with each other to get an agreement, that is, to agree on the reachability agreement, and then during the execution of the tracking, the reachability information reported from the device can be correctly understood by the first node. For example, take the above serving area selected by the device, triggering condition and the type of the reachability information as example items to be negotiated, it may be agreed in advance to exchange data in an order of serving area, triggering condition and the type, so during negotiation, the first node may send a message to the device, the message indicates an ID of the reachability management action, and possible options for each of the items which are arranged in the agreed order, and the device can read the message and then select its preferred options, and then send another message to notify the first node of its choices. The interaction may continue for one or several rounds until both parties agree on the items. More or less items could be involved. The rounds of the interaction, as well as the specific order of these items in exchanged messages are not limited herein, as long as both parties could understand the exchanged messages. Similarly, during the tracking, the first node and the device can also communicate with each other following the reachability agreement, the negotiated reachability agreement ensures that both parties understand each other.

[0274] In a possible implementation, the one or more serving areas of the first node can be area (s) served by the CM, such as one or more countries, provinces, cities, and the like, the device can select a serving area among the one or more areas as its serving areas, so that in the selected serving area, the CM can provide its service for the device. In a possible implementation, when indicating the serving area selected by the device in the reachability agreement, for example, the reachability agreement can include an ID of the serving area, or include a name of the serving area, which is not limited in the embodiments of the present disclosure.

[0275] With respect to the triggering condition for the reporting of the reachability information, there are different alternatives as implementations of the triggering condition, e.g., the triggering condition is selected by the device from following items during the negotiation: triggering the reporting of the reachability information at a time interval (time triggering) ; triggering the reporting of the reachability information when the device crosses a boundary of a zone inside the  serving area (zone boundary triggering) , the serving area could be divided into multiple zones in advance, and the zone here is reflecting the MAP based technology, and the divided multiple zones could correspond to different MAP based technologies. Since each zone has its boundary, so the crossing of the zone boundary can be used as a trigger of the reachability information reporting; triggering the reporting of the reachability information when the device crosses a boundary of a cell inside the serving  area (cell boundary triggering) , the serving area could be divided into multiple cells in advance, each cell has its boundary, so the crossing of the cell boundary can be used as a trigger of the reachability information reporting; or, triggering the reporting of the reachability information when the device transitions from an active state to an idle  state (state transition triggering) , here the device being on the idle state means that the device is inactive, or the device has no established RAN-C / M RB with any RAN, or the device has not attached to any RAN yet; the device being on the active state means that the device is active, or the device has established RAN-C / M RB with a RAN, or the device has been attached to a RAN.

[0276] In a possible implementation, the device can select one or more triggering conditions during negotiation with the first device, for example, the device can decide to trigger the reporting of the reachability information only at the time interval, then the device will report the reachability information at the time interval, or the device can decide to trigger the reporting of the reachability information at the time interval and trigger the reporting of the reachability information when the device crosses the boundary of the zone inside the serving area, then the device will report the reachability information when at least one of the two triggering conditions is met. Since there are multiple options for negotiating the triggering condition, the tracking / updating the reachability information can be realized in a more flexible way, thereby enhancing the network’s monitoring capabilities, and further improving the management and allocation of network resources, leading to better network service quality. In a possible implementation, when more than one triggering condition is selected by the device, the device may also report its triggering condition. For example, when both time triggering and zone boundary triggering are selected by the device, when the reporting of the reachability information is triggered at the time interval, information indicating the time triggering will be reported by the device accompanying the reporting of the reachability information, and when the reporting of the reachability information is triggered at when the device crosses a boundary of a zone inside the serving area, information indicating the zone triggering will be reported by the device accompanying the reporting of the reachability information, in this way, the first node knows the triggering condition that causes the reporting of the reachability information. By reporting the reachability information along with the triggering condition, the first node can acquire more comprehensive information about the reachability information, it can be ensured that the comprehensiveness and the reliability of the reporting of the reachability information.

[0277] In a possible implementation, when the triggering condition for the reporting of the reachability information is triggering the reporting of the reachability information at a time interval, the reachability agreement further indicates the time interval and whether the time interval is defined by the first node or the device. Not only the option (s) for each item in the reachability agreement can be negotiated, but also the specific values in each option can be negotiated. For example, for the time triggering which is one option among multiple triggering conditions, the specific value of the time interval can be defined by the first node or the device, in one example, a value of the time interval can be proposed by the device and accepted by the first node during the negotiation, so the reachability agreement may include information about the time interval being defined by the device; in another example, the value of the time interval can be defined by the first node and selected by the device during the negotiation, the first node may propose several possible values and the device may select one from these proposed values, so the reachability agreement may include information about the time interval being defined by the first node. In both cases, the value of the time interval is negotiable. The first node may also give a fixed value and the device simply follows such fixed value, although the value of the time interval seems to be non-negotiable, but this fixed value can be notified to the device during the negotiation. Since the time interval for the reporting of the reachability information can be defined by the first node or the device, the reporting of the reachability information can be more flexible, and the management and allocation of network resources can be optimized.

[0278] In a possible implementation, when the device selects to report its reachability information based on the state transition, a schedule of next transition to the idle state may be reported by the device accompanying the reporting of the reachability information, so that the first node knows the schedule of next transition. Besides, when the device also selects triggering condition (s) other than the state transition triggering, the triggering condition that causes the reporting of the reachability information can also be reported.

[0279] The reachability information refers to information for reaching the device on the service level, there may be different types of reachability information, for example, it may be implemented as attachment point information of the device, location information of the device, or the like. With respect to the type of the reachability information which indicates to which category the reachability information falls, there are one or more options for the type of the reachability information, for example, the type of the reachability information is selected by the device from following items during the negotiation: information for identifying a serving radio access network (RAN) (e.g., an ID of the RAN) ; information for identifying a zone in which the device resides (e.g., an ID of the zone) ; or, information about a geographic coordinate of the device. In a possible implementation, the serving RAN can be a RAN to which the device is attached, also called as an attachment point of the device, it is used for RB management for the device; the zone in which the device resides can be determined based on the MAP based technology, and the geographic coordinate of the device can refer to an absolute geographic coordinate at which the device is located, or can also be a position relative to a reference point (e.g., a building near the device) . Since there are multiple options for negotiating the type of the reachability information, the tracking / updating the reachability information can be realized in a more flexible way, thereby enhancing the network’s monitoring capabilities, and further improving the management and allocation of network resources, leading to better network service quality.

[0280] In a possible implementation, the reachability agreement further indicates whether the reachability information is allowed to be exposed to an another node. In a possible implementation, the another node can be inside the system to which the first node belongs, or outside the system to which the first node belongs. When the first node is requested to exposure the reachability information of the device, the first node can determine whether to expose the reachability information to the another node based on the reachability agreement, and the indication of the reachability agreement may be: exposing the reachability information in any case, exposing the reachability information when a provisioning condition defined by the device or the first node is met (conditional exposure) , or not exposing the reachability information in any case. For the case of conditional exposure, the provisioning condition can be set by integrating a requester's identity, purpose of using the reachability information, etc., which is not limited in the embodiments of the present disclosure. By negotiating whether to expose the reachability information of the device to the another node (e.g., third parties) , it is ensured that the device’s reachability information is handled securely and in accordance with privacy policies, and flexibility in network management can be provided, thus optimizing network resource management.

[0281] In a possible implementation, before the step S301 of negotiating with the device, the device is on the active state. As described above, in this state, the device has been attached to a RAN, i.e., at least a pair of RAN-C / M RBs (downlink and uplink) between the device and the RAN is established.

[0282] In a possible implementation, before the step S301 of negotiating with the device, the connection (e.g., the device-NC C / M connection as described with reference to FIG. 2B) has been established with the first node, the connection is used for signaling exchanging between the device and the first node on a control and management (C / M) plane. The connection is a logical connection between the device and the first node. In this way, the pre-condition of the tracking / updating the reachability information by the first node is met, so as to ensure the normal execution of the reachability management.

[0283] The first node is designed to negotiate with the device to determine the reachability agreement, for each of the items in the reachability agreement, there are multiple options for the device to choose from according to its actual applications, thereby enhancing the efficiency and relevance of reporting of reachability information, and the first node can track the reachability information reported by the device based on the established reachability agreement, thereby enhancing the network’s monitoring capabilities, and further improving the management and allocation of network resources, leading to better network service quality.

[0284] In a possible implementation, as described the above, the negotiation in step S301 and the tracking in step S303 form an action of a reachability management service provided by the first node, the action can have identification information (e.g., an ID of the action) and can be subscribed by the device. In fact, the above steps S301-S303 are the subscription of the action by the device. Different NCs may be capable of providing their own actions, as one NC, the first node may be capable of providing different actions. It is possible to assign different IDs for actions provided by all NCs in the system, in this case, IDs of actions provided by all NCs in the system will be different. It is also possible to assign different IDs for actions of one NC, in this case, actions of different NCs may have same IDs. By including the information for identifying the action in the paging request, correct execute of the action can be ensured.

[0285] With respect to the action of the tracking of device reachability service, its NCDL can include the following: a name of the action: tracking of reachability information of a device or reachability management, a pre-condition of the action: the device has a connection with the first node; a post-condition of the action: the device reports its current reachability information to the first node; one or more parameters related to the action: operation parameters that govern the operation of the action, such as  information for identifying the serving area, the triggering condition and the information about the type of the reachability information; where the triggering condition can be, for example, a triggering condition based on the time interval, a triggering condition based on the boundary of the zone, a triggering condition based on the boundary of the cell, or a triggering condition based on the state of the device, the information about whether the reachability information is allowed to be exposed to the another node.

[0286] The following will describe an example NCDL of the action of reachability management service provided by the first node.

[0287] Name of the action: tracking of device reachability.

[0288] Purpose of the action: the action is for a CM (which is a specific example of first node mentioned above) to obtain device reachability update (which is a specific example of reachability information mentioned above) from the device when the device is on its active state. Note that at subscription phase, this NCDL of this action is used for both the device and the CM to negotiate the needed operation parameters, such as the triggers (which refer to triggering condition mentioned above) for the device to report its location information, and report contents, and consensus of this information exposure to a 3rd party (which is a specific example of another node mentioned above) . At execution of this action, the device reports its reachability information to the CM following the agreed operation parameters.

[0289] Pre-condition of the action: a connection (C / M NC connection) between the device and the CM on the C / M plane has been established.

[0290] Post-condition of the action: the device reports its current reachability information to the CM.

[0291] Table 1 shows parameters related to the NCDL of the action of tracking of device reachability. Table 1

[0292] The shown parameters represent different capability dimensions for the action of tracking of device reachability, the capability dimensions can include operation related dimensions, and are used to indicate operation parameters that govern the operation of the action. Each of the capability dimensions can have one or more options, and a customer to which the device belongs can select one or more options in the one or more capability dimensions, different options in different columns can be combined. For example, for the capability dimension “trigger of attachment point info update” , the device / customer can select “Time” , or “Time” and “Zone boundary” , and for the capability dimension being the attachment point info, the device / customer can select one or more of “RAN (Cell) ID” , “ID Zone within a RAN (Cell) ID” , “Geographic coordinates” .

[0293] Definition of capability dimensions are as follows: -serving area: geographic area served by the CM, can be expresses as a network ID or a name of country, province,  city and etc. ; -trigger of attachment point info update (which refers to triggering condition mentioned above) : type of triggers.  There are multiple types of triggers. An update can be triggered by pre-defined time interval as expressed in dimension “time interval” . Note that “Zone” here is reflecting the MAP based technology; -time interval decision: the time interval decision can be decided by the network side (e.g., CM) or self-defined by  the device / customer to which the device belongs if the customer selects “time” as trigger for update its reachability information; -time interval: time interval for the device to provide its attachment point (location) information (which is a specific  example of reachability information mentioned above) if “time” based trigger is selected. This dimension provides the interval value defined by the network; alternatively, it can also provide a chance for the customer to input its preferred interval value at subscription of this NCDL if the customer selects “Self-defined” in the dimension of “Interval decision” . -attachment point information: location information expressed as RAN (cell) ID, or RAN (cell ID) and Zone ID, or  an absolute geographic coordinates.

[0294] As one example shown in Table 1, a subscription result is expressed as a collection of options with underlines in Table 1. The example shows a case where time triggering is selected for reporting the reachability information at the time interval, and the reachability agreement further indicates that the reachability information is not allowed to be exposed to the another node.

[0295] Specifically, in this example, -for update trigger, time based trigger is selected and self-defined time interval is preferred and the interval value is  YYY (seconds) ; -for location report content (i.e., the capability dimension “attachment point info” shown in Table 1, which is a  specific example of type of the reachability information above) , the RAN (Cell) ID is selected. It means whenever the device updates its location, it will provide RAN (Cell) ID; -for mobility information exposure: determine that no any mobility information can be exposed to a 3rd party outside  the system.

[0296] After the subscription, both the device and the CM establish a reachability agreement on how to perform this action.

[0297] Use of this NCDL: -the NCDL of this action may be subscribed by a device if the device wants the service of device reachability  management; -the NCDL is used at subscription, for both the device and the CM to negotiate the needed operative parameters,  such as the trigger (s) for the device to report its location information, and report contents, and consensus of this information exposure to 3rd parties; -at execution of this action, the device reports its reachability information to the CM following the agreed operation  parameters. Using the example, the device will provide an ID of an RAN (Cell) where it currently locates to the CM after the device C / M NC connection has been established. This information can be correctly understood by the CM without any ambiguity, because of the NCDL registration / subscription; -this NCDL is also used to guide CM’s reaction to request for exposure of mobility information of the device. Using  this example, the CM, following the instruction of the device, will not disclose information to any 3rd party.

[0298] FIG. 3B shows an example including an action of reachability management service shown in FIG. 3A in a case where the NC is the CM.

[0299] Before the CM is called for the action of reachability information provisioning service, the NC connection between a device and the CM has been established and activated, and the NCDL of the action subscribed by a customer is expressed as a collection of options with underlines in Table 1, except that in the capability dimension “trigger of attachment point info update” , in addition to the time trigger, the “Transition to idle” trigger is also selected by the device, which means the triggering condition for the reporting of the reachability information in this example includes: triggering the reporting of the reachability information at a time interval and triggering the reporting of the reachability information when the device transitions from an active state to an idle state, in this example, the interaction between the device and the CM may include following steps.

[0300] Step 1, the device continuously evaluates its location and checks the trigger condition for the reporting of the reachability information, and the check result is that the time based condition is met.

[0301] Step 2, when the time based condition (i.e., triggering the reporting of the reachability information at the time interval mentioned above) is met, the device sends information about the type of the trigger--- “time” ; attachment info---RAN (Cell) ID, that is, the triggering condition is reported by the device accompanying the reporting of the reachability information.

[0302] Step 3, the device continuously evaluates its location and checks the trigger condition, and the check result is that the trigger type 4 (i.e., triggering the reporting of the reachability information when the device transitions from the active state to the idle state) is met.

[0303] Step 4, when the trigger type 4 is met, the device sends information about the type of the trigger--- “transition to idle” ; schedule of transition--XXX, RAN (Cell) ID; that is, the triggering condition and a schedule of next transition to the idle state are reported by the device accompanying the reporting of the reachability information.

[0304] In a possible implementation of the present disclosure, the action is negotiation of a paging operation agreement for paging, the action would have its own name for facilitating subscription of other NCs. For example, the action would be named as a “further reachability management action” or “page operation agreement” , which is not limited in the embodiments of the present disclosure. As one possible scenario, this action may be used at subscription of the reachability management service by a device. The present application further provides a method applied to a first node to implement the action. FIG. 4 shows a schematic flowchart of a method according to one or more embodiments of the present disclosure, which reflects the execution of the action (negotiation) by the first node. The method includes the following steps.

[0305] S401, the first node negotiates with a device to establish a paging agreement between the first node and the device.

[0306] In a possible implementation, the first node can provide a CM service in the C / M layer of FIG.

[0307] The paging agreement indicates a serving area selected by the device among one or more serving areas of the first node and at least one paging parameter for paging the device when the device is on an idle state. In a possible implementation, the serving area selected by the device refers to an area in which the first node provides its reachability management service to the device.

[0308] The reachability management service for paging operation provided by the first node to the device aims to enable paging of a device, but the paging operation per se does not involve the interaction between the first node and the device. The reachability management service for paging operation involves the negotiation (phase) . During the negotiation, the first node and the device communicate with each other to get an agreement, that is, to agree on the paging agreement, and then during the execution of the paging by a second node (e.g., RAN) , the first node can request the second node to perform the paging. The paging agreement ensures that data exchanged between the first node and the device during the negotiation of paging can be correctly understood by both parties. For example, take the above serving area selected by the device and at least one paging parameter as example items to be negotiated, it may be agreed in advance to exchange data in an order of serving area selected by the device and at least one paging parameter, so during negotiation, the first node may send a message to the device, the message indicates an ID of the action for negotiation of the paging operation agreement, and possible options for each of the items which are arranged in the agreed order, and the device can read the message and then select its preferred options, and then send another message to notify the first node of its choices. The interaction may continue for one or several rounds until both parties agree on the items. More or less items could be involved. The rounds of the interaction, as well as the specific order of these items in exchanged messages are not limited herein, as long as both parties could understand the exchanged messages.

[0309] In a possible implementation, the one or more serving areas of the first node can be areas served by the CM, such as one or more countries, provinces, cities, and the like, the device can select a serving area among the one or more areas as its serving areas, so that in the selected serving area, the CM can provide its service for the device. In a possible implementation, when indicating the serving area selected by the device in the paging agreement, for example, the paging agreement can include an ID of the serving area, or include a name of the serving area, which is not limited in the embodiments of the present disclosure.

[0310] In a possible implementation, the at least one paging parameter includes a tracking area and a paging schedule. The tracking area is an area within which the device is paged. The paging schedule is a time interval for paging the device (e.g., xxx seconds) , the paging schedule may characterize a time schedule for another node to carry out the paging of the device, the time interval can be a fixed interval defined by the device or proposed by the system. By including the tracking area and the paging schedule in the paging agreement, it can be ensured that the reliability of the subsequent paging process.

[0311] In a possible implementation, the paging agreement further indicates at least one of: whether the tracking area is defined by the first node or the device; or whether the paging schedule is defined by the first node or the device. For example, the first node provides a tracking area list for the device to select its preferred tracking area, and the number of the selected tracking area will not be limited to one, in this case, since the tracking area is defined by the device, the paging agreement would include information about the tracking area being defined by the device. For another example, the first node may propose several possible values for the paging schedule and the device may select one from these proposed values, so the paging agreement would include information about the paging schedule being defined by the first node. Since the tracking area and / or the paging schedule in the paging agreement can be defined by the first node or the device, the negotiation of the paging agreement can be more flexible, and the management and allocation of network resources can be optimized.

[0312] In a possible implementation, after the step S401 of negotiation, when the device is on the idle state, the method further includes: the first node transmitting a paging request to a second node within the tracking area, where the paging request indicates the device and the paging schedule, the indication of the paging schedule can be realized by direct carrying paging time information in the paging request or indirectly carrying information which can be used for determining the paging time information; the first node receiving a paging response corresponding to the paging request from the second node, where the paging response indicates the device, the second node and a result of the paging (paging result) . In a possible implementation, the second node can be a radio access network (RAN) , there may be one or more second nodes within the tracking area of the device, each of the one or more second nodes may receive the paging request, execute paging of the device and get back to the first node with its paging result. The first node calls, via transmission of the paging request, the second node to page the device on the idle state, and receives feedback on whether the device has been successfully located, which is useful for managing and optimizing the paging process in a network, particularly in scenarios where tracking device status and network connectivity is necessary.

[0313] Correspondingly, the second node receives the paging request from the first node, and transmits the paging response corresponding to the paging request to the first node. It should be noted that the paging request may also be identified by an ID of the paging action of the second node. For example, the paging request can include the ID of the action, when the second node receives the paging request which includes the ID of the action, the second node will know that the paging request is used for paging a device.

[0314] In a possible implementation, the paging request includes at least one of a first identifier of the device or a second identifier of the device, where the first identifier is assigned for the paging, which may be a specific identifier for use in paging, and the second identifier is assigned in response to an authorization for the device to access a system to which the first node and the second node belong. In a possible implementation, the system can be the 6G system including the first node and the second node, and the second identifier is obtained by a default SPM for the device to access the system before the device completes primary mutual authentication to the system, the second identifier can be referred to as a subscriber temporary identifier (STID) . Regarding the STID of the device, the STID in all of NCDLs in the system is used for all common system access, for example, NCDLs of RB and session establishment and protection, and the STID of the device is managed by CONET in the C / M layer of FIG. 1 through its functionality (CONET-Identifier Management, CONET-IDM) . Using specific identifier (s) for initiate the paging could ensure accurate paging of a target device, and paging the device based on at least one of the first identifier and the second identifier enhances reliability and flexibility as if one identifier fails or is not available, the second node can still page the device using the other identifier, thereby maintaining effective communication and network operation. In this way, the device is allowed to select its service area and there is at least one paging parameter that to be negotiated in the paging agreement, so as to realize personalized paging configuration for the device, and optimize the paging process based on device preferences.

[0315] In a possible implementation, the paging response includes information for identifying the second node (e.g., an ID of the second node) , the at least one of the first identifier or the second identifier, and the result of the paging. In a possible implementation, the result of the paging indicates whether the device is attached to the second node (e.g., the device being attached to the second node or the device being not attached to the second node) . When the device is attached to the second node, it means that the device is on the active state. By including the information for identifying the first node, the identifier of the device and the paging result in the paging response, the accuracy and the reliability of the paging process can be ensured.

[0316] In a possible implementation, the at least one paging parameter further includes the first identifier of the device assigned for the paging. For paging purpose, the first identifier can be assigned to the device, and the first identifier could be shorter than the second identifier, so that when the device is paged based on the first identifier, the paging overhead is reduced.

[0317] In a possible implementation, from the above, the negotiation is an action of a reachability management service for paging operation provided by the first node, the action can have identification information (e.g., an ID of the action) and be subscribed by the device. In fact, the above steps S401 is the subscription of the action by the device.

[0318] With respect to the action of the reachability management service, its NCDL can include the following: a name of the action: paging operation agreement. a pre-condition of the action: the device has a connection with the first node; a post-condition of the action: the device could be paged based on the paging agreement; one or more parameters related to the action: operation parameters that govern the operation of the action, such as  information for identifying the serving area, information for identifying the tracking area, the paging schedule, at least one of the information about whether the tracking area is defined by the first node or the device and the information about whether the paging schedule is defined by the first node or the device, the first identifier and / or second identifier of the device assigned for the paging.

[0319] The following will describe an example NCDL of the action of reachability management service for paging operation provided by the first node.

[0320] Name of the action: paging operation agreement.

[0321] Purpose of the action: the action is for a CM (which is a specific example of first node mentioned above) to get an agreement with a device on reachability operation parameters when the device is on the idle state. The parameters include a tracking area, a paging schedule and a Page-ID (which is a specific example of first identifier of the device mentioned above) dedicated for device paging purpose. The reachability information of the device on the idle state is obtained by the CM via a RAN (which is a specific example of second node mentioned above) paging operation which is instructed by the CM based on the agreed parameters. This paging operation itself doesn't involve direct interaction between the device and a CM.

[0322] Table 2 shows parameters related to the NCDL of the action of paging operation agreement. Table 2

[0323] The shown parameters represent different capability dimensions for the action of paging operation agreement, the capability dimensions can include operation related dimensions, and are used to indicate operation parameters. Each of the capability dimensions can have one or more options, and a customer to which the device belongs can select one or more options in the one or more capability dimensions.

[0324] Definition of capability dimensions are as follows: -tracking area decision: indicating that the tracking area of the device can be defined by either the network side (e.g.,  CM) or by the customer. -tracking area: definition of tracking area of the device. -paging schedule decision: indicating that the paging schedule decision of the device can be defined by either the  network side or by the customer. -paging schedule: schedule of paging the device. -Page-ID: a short ID assigned to the device dedicated for paging purpose.

[0325] As one example shown in Table 2, a subscription result of a device is expressed as collection of options with underline. The example shows a case where the tracking area is defined by the first node, and the paging schedule is defined by the first node. That is, for this example, the device agrees with network defined tracking area and paging schedule.

[0326] Use of this NCDL: -this NCDL may be subscribed by a device which needs the service of device reachability management. -the paging operation itself is an action of the RAN. However the parameters that governing the paging operation  is provided by the CM when it call the RAN’s action. -There is no direct interaction between the device and the CM in paging operation.

[0327] It should be noted that the reachability management described with reference to FIG. 3 and the paging agreement described with reference to FIG. 4 can also be combined into one agreement, that is, the device can directly negotiate necessary information about the reporting of the reachability information and the paging with the first node, the implementation would be similar to separate negotiations, which will not be described herein for brevity.

[0328] In a possible implementation of the present disclosure, the action is NC connection ID assignment, the action would have its own name for facilitating subscription of other NCs. For example, the action would be named as an “identification assignment action” or “NC connection ID assignment” , which is not limited in the embodiments of the present disclosure. As one possible scenario, this action may be called by another node when there is a need to establish a connection between the device and the first node, after a C / M session between the device and its C / M serving gateway has been established. For example, the device may first communicate with the A-CAP service to express its desire for establishing a connection with the first node, then the A-CAP service may call the action of the first node to assign the identification information for the to-be-established connection. The action would be of the abovementioned Type 1. The present application provides a method applied to a first node to implement the action. FIG. 5 shows a schematic flowchart of a method according to one or more embodiments of the present disclosure, which reflects the execution of the action (forming by reception and transmission) by the first node. The method includes the following steps.

[0329] S501, the first node receives an identification assignment request from an another node.

[0330] Correspondingly, the another node transmits the identification assignment request to the first node.

[0331] S502, the first node transmits an identification assignment response in response to the identification assignment request.

[0332] In a possible implementation, the first node can provide a XaaS service in the C / M layer or the Service layer of FIG. 1, such as connectivity management (CM) service, which is not limited in the embodiments of the present disclosure, the another node can provide a mission management (MM) service, or a connecting service (NET4CON service) in the Service layer, the MM service also can be named as an A-CAP service.

[0333] In a possible implementation, the identification assignment request is used for requesting assignment of identification information, the identification information is used for identifying a connection which is to be established between a device and the first node, and the identification assignment request indicates the device. With respect to the indication of the device, for example, the identification assignment request can include an ID of the device. The ID of the device can be the abovementioned STID, reference may be made to related description with reference to FIG. 4. Alternatively, the ID of the device can be a subscriber service temporary ID (SSTID) which was assigned to the device for its communication with the first node at subscription. For a device to access an NC (e.g., CM) , a specific ID (i.e., SSTID of the device) is needed for interconnection between the device and the NC for ID privacy protection, and the SSTID of the device is managed by CONET in the C / M layer of FIG. 1 through its functionality (CONET-Identifier Management, CONET-IDM) . When the device / customer, at subscribing to the NC, CONET-IDM allocates an ID to the device / customer for its communication with the NC. This ID is denoted SSTID and is notified to the NC.

[0334] In a possible implementation, the connection is a logical connection between the device and the first node, and is used for signaling exchanging between the device and the first node on a control and management (C / M) plane. Before establishment of the connection, a C / M serving gateway (which is also referred to as second serving gateway below) of the device has been connected to the device, i.e., a C / M session (which is also referred to as first session below) between the device and the C / M serving gateway has been established, and an anchor gateway (which is also referred to as first serving gateway below) of the first node has been connected to the first node, and the C / M serving gateway of the device has been connected to the anchor gateway of the first node. The C / M serving gateway of the device is responsible for managing signaling traffic related to the device, and the anchor gateway of the first node is responsible for managing signaling traffic related to the first node. The forwarding rules at the C / M serving gateway of the device and the anchor gateway of the first node can be configured to ensure that signaling traffic from the first node to the device can be correctly forwarded from the anchor gateway of the first node to the C / M serving gateway of the device, and consequently from the C / M serving gateway of the device to the device, as well as ensuring that signaling traffic from the device to the first node can be correctly forwarded from the C / M serving gateway of the device to the anchor gateway of the first node, and consequently from the anchor gateway of the first node to the first node. In this way, a trustworthy forwarding can be realized.

[0335] In a possible implementation, the identification assignment response indicates the identification information and the first serving gateway to which the first node is connected, the first serving gateway is an anchor gateway of the first node and is used for establishing the connection with the device. For example, the identification assignment response includes the identification information and information for identifying the first serving gateway (e.g., an ID of the first serving gateway) .

[0336] Upon receiving the identification assignment request, the first node can effectively and accurately assign the identification information for the device, so as to support the establishment of the connection between the device and the first node, thereby improving the efficiency of the device to access the network system.

[0337] In a possible implementation, the connection includes an uplink connection from the device to the first node or a downlink connection from the first node to the device; the identification information includes information for identifying the uplink connection and information for identifying downlink connection. By assigning identification information to the uplink connection and / or the downlink connection, the management and allocation of network resources can be optimized, leading to better network service quality.

[0338] In a possible implementation, before the step S501 of receiving the identification assignment request, a first session has been established and the device has been subscribed to the first node, where the first session is a logical connection between the device and a second serving gateway to which the device is connected on a control and management (C / M) plane. In this way, the pre-condition of the identification assignment is met, so as to ensure the normal execution of the identification assignment.

[0339] In a possible implementation, the step of S502 can include: the first node transmitting the identification assignment response in response to the identification assignment request to the another node, or transmitting the identification assignment response in response to the identification assignment request to other node other than the another node. In the latter scenario, the system to which the first node, the another node and the other node belong can be regarded to as a chain, the first node, another node and the other node are members of the chain, and the first node automatically transmits the identification assignment response to the other node in the chain.

[0340] In a possible implementation, the reception and the transmission form an action of an identification assignment service provided by the first node, the identification assignment action is subscribed by the another node, and the another node provides an A-CAP service or a connecting service. For example, when the first node is the CM and the another node is the A-CAP service, before the execution of the action, the device transmits a message to the A-CAP service to inform it of the intention to establish a connection with the CM, then the A-CAP service transmits an identification assignment request to the CM, so the CM can assign the identification information for the to-be-established connection, then the connection between the device and the CM will be activated and established, and the established connection will be later identified by the identification information, the activation of the connection will be described in detail below. It should be noted that although the description here is made with reference to the CM, but the action of the identification assignment can be executed by NCs other than the CM, which is not limited in the embodiments of the present disclosure.

[0341] The first node is designed to perform the action including the reception and the transmission, so as to improve the efficiency of identification assignment and realize the automation of identification assignment.

[0342] In a possible implementation, the identification assignment request further indicates information for identifying the action. For example, the identification assignment request can include an ID of the action, and the first node is triggered to perform the action based on the ID of the action. By including the information for identifying the action in the request, the first node can correctly perform the action based on the ID of the action. In a possible implementation, the identification assignment request can also be identified by the ID of the action. For example, the identification assignment request can include the ID of the action, when the first node receives the identification assignment request which includes the ID of the action, the first node will know that the identification assignment request is used for requesting assignment of identification information.

[0343] With respect to the action of the identification assignment service, its NCDL can include the following: a name of the action: identification assignment; a pre-condition of the action: the device has been subscribed to the first node, and the first session has been  established, where the device is authorized to access the system to which the first node and the second node belong; a post-condition of the action: the identification information of the to-be-established connection between the device  and the first node is assigned; one or more parameters related to the action: input parameters such as the information for identifying the device and  the information for identifying the action; and output parameters such as the identification information of the to-be-established connection and the information for identifying the first serving gateway.

[0344] The following will describe an example NCDL of the action of identification assignment service provided by the first node.

[0345] Name of the action: NC (CM) connection ID assignment.

[0346] Purpose of the action: the action is for a CM (which is a specific example of first node mentioned above) to assign NC (CM) connection ID pair (which includes NC uplink connection ID and NC downlink connection ID that are specific examples of information for identifying the uplink connection and information for identifying downlink connection mentioned above respectively) , for to-be-established NC connection with the device.

[0347] Pre-condition of the device: a C / M session (which is a specific example of first session mentioned above) between the device and a serving C / M-TW-GW (which is a specific example of second serving gateway mentioned above) of the device has been established and device has been subscribed to the NC (CM) . The pre-condition could also be: the device has subscribed to the NC and obtained a corresponding device ID (SSTID) assigned for accessing this NC.

[0348] Post-condition: NC (CM) connection ID is assigned.

[0349] Table 3 shows parameters related to the NCDL of the action of NC (CM) connection ID assignment. Table 3

[0350] The shown parameters represent different capability dimensions for the action of NC (CM) connection ID assignment, the capability dimensions can include input dimensions and output dimensions, in which the input dimensions are used to indicate required input information in order for the execution of the action, the output dimensions are used to indicate output of the action. Definition of capability dimensions are as follows: -NC connection ID pair: ID pair of assigned to the NC connections (NC uplink connection and NC downlink  connection) . The connection ID (CID) -Anchor C / M-TW-GW ID (which is a specific example of information for identifying the first serving gateway  mentioned above) : ID of C / M-TW-GW to which the NC (entity) is currently connected. This information will be used for UL (from device to NC entity) connection establishment.

[0351] Use of this NCDL: -This NCDL may be subscribed by other NCs, e.g., A-CAP, NET4CON, and etc., these services are specific example  services provided by another node mentioned above; -This NCDL is called when a NC (CM) connection with the device needs to be established. -When called, the input may include device ID; the output may include assigned Connection ID pair and anchor  C / M-TW-GW ID of the NC (entity) . -This action can be called by A-CAP that is triggered by the device or other NCs. Before the execution of the action,  the device transmits a message to the A-CAP service to inform it of the intention to establish a connection with the NC service, then the A-CAP service transmits an identification assignment request to the NC service, so the CM can assign the identification information for the to-be-established connection, then the connection between the device and the CM will be later activated and established and the established connection will be identified by the identification information.

[0352] It should be noted throughout the text, NC (CM) means that CM is taken as an example of NC. Although the case where the NC is the CM is illustrated in the above implementations, the solutions are also applicable for the case where the NC is other service in the C / M layer or Service layer. That is, the CM can be replaced by other XaaS service in this example, e.g., any data NC or C / M NC capable of assigning a connection ID pair for connections between a device and the data NC or C / M NC.

[0353] In a possible implementation of the present disclosure, the action is activation of NC connection, the action would have its own name for facilitating subscription of other NCs. For example, the action would be named as a “connection activation action” , or “activation of NC connection” , which is not limited in the embodiments of the present disclosure. As one possible scenario, this action can be called when forwarding rules at the serving gateway and the anchor gateway of the first node have been established, and ID of the connection between the first node and the device has been assigned. The activation of the connection can enable the device to establish the mapping between the connection and the first node, so as to ensure normal communication with the first node over the connection. The action would be of the abovementioned Type 1. The present application provides a method for interaction between a first node and a device to implement the action. FIG. 6 shows a schematic flowchart of a method according to one or more embodiments of the present disclosure, which reflects the execution of the action (forming by acquisition and transmission) by the first node and the execution of the action (forming by reception) by the device. The method includes the following steps.

[0354] S601, the first node acquires information for identifying the device.

[0355] In a possible implementation, the first node can provide a XaaS service in the C / M layer of FIG. 1, such as connectivity management (CM) service, which is not limited in the embodiments of the present disclosure. The information for identifying the device can be an ID of the device. The ID of the device can be the abovementioned STID or SSTID, reference may be made to related description with reference to FIG. 5.

[0356] In a possible implementation, the step S601 includes: the first node receiving an activation request from an another node, where the activation request is used for requesting activation of the connection, and the activation request includes the information for identifying the device. The another node can provide an A-CAP service. Upon receiving the activation request, the first node can accurately determine the connection for the device, so as to request the device to activate the connection, thus ensuring the normal work of the connection, and the efficiency of the device to access the network system can also be improved.

[0357] In a possible implementation, the step S601 includes: the first node acquiring the information for identifying the device from its local cache, for example, before the execution of the action, the first node has acquired the information for identifying the device when executing other action, such as the action of identification assignment service described with reference to FIG. 5.

[0358] S602, the first node transmits an activation message to the device based on the information for identifying the device. Correspondingly, the device receives the activation message from the first node.

[0359] S603, the device establishes a mapping between the connection and the first node based on the activation message.

[0360] In a possible implementation, the activation message indicates the first node and a connection between the device and the first node. In a possible implementation, the activation message includes information for identifying the first node (e.g., an ID of the first node) and information for identifying the connection (e.g., an ID of the connection, which could be assigned by calling the action of the identification assignment service with reference to FIG. 5) . The activation aims to enable the device to update its local mapping, by indicating the first node and the connection in the activation message, the device can effectively and accurately establish the mapping between the device and the first node, so that the device can communicate with the first node based on the connection therebetween.

[0361] In a possible implementation, the connection is a logical connection between the device and the first node, and is used for signaling exchanging between the device and the first node on a control and management (C / M) plane.

[0362] In a possible implementation, before the step S601 of acquiring the information for identifying the device, a first forwarding rule at a first serving gateway to which the first node is connected and a second forwarding rule at a second serving gateway to which the device is connected have been established; where the first forwarding rule is used for forwarding signaling between the first node and the second serving gateway, and the second forwarding rule is used for forwarding signaling between the first serving gateway and the device.

[0363] Before establishment of the connection, a C / M serving gateway (which is also referred to as second serving gateway above) of the device has been connected to the device, i.e., a C / M session between the device and the C / M serving gateway has been established, and an anchor gateway (which is also referred to as first serving gateway above) of the first node has been connected to the first node, and the C / M serving gateway of the device has been connected to the anchor gateway of the first node. The C / M serving gateway of the device is responsible for managing signaling traffic related to the device, and the anchor gateway of the first node is responsible for managing signaling traffic related to the first node. The first forwarding rule at the anchor gateway of the first node can be configured to ensure that the signaling traffic from the first node to the device can be correctly forwarded to the C / M serving gateway of the device, and then the second forwarding rule at the C / M serving gateway of the device can be configured to ensure that the signaling from the anchor gateway of the first node can be correctly forwarded to the device; the second forwarding rule at the C / M serving gateway of the device also has been configured to ensure that the signaling traffic from the device to the first node can be correctly forwarded to the anchor gateway of the first node, and then the first forwarding rule at the anchor gateway of the first node has also been configured to ensure that the signaling from the C / M serving gateway of the device can be correctly forwarded to the first node. In this way, the pre-condition of the activation of the connection is met, so as to ensure the normal execution of the activation of the connection.

[0364] In a case where the connection is the downlink connection from the first node to the device, the transmission of traffic from the device to the first node can include: the anchor gateway of the first node forwards the traffic from the first node to the C / M serving gateway of the device based on the first forwarding rule, and the C / M serving gateway forwards the traffic from the anchor gateway to the device based on the second forwarding rule. In a case where the connection is the uplink connection from the device to the first node, the transmission of traffic from the device to the first node can include: the C / M serving gateway forwards the traffic from the device to the anchor gateway based on the second forwarding rule, and the anchor gateway forwards the traffic from the C / M serving gateway to the first node based on the first forwarding rule.

[0365] In a possible implementation, the connection includes an uplink connection from the device to the first node or a downlink connection from the first node to the device; the activation message includes information for identifying the uplink connection (e.g., an ID of the uplink connection) or information for identifying the downlink connection (e.g., an ID of the downlink connection) . By processing the connection specifically to the downlink connection and the uplink connection, it can optimize the management and allocation of network resources, leading to better network service quality.

[0366] In a possible implementation, the acquisition in step S601 and the transmission in step 602 form an action of a connection activation service provided by the first node, the action is subscribed by the device. The first node is designed to perform the action including the acquisition and the transmission, so as to improve the efficiency of the activation of the connection and realize the automation of the activation of the connection. In a possible implementation, as described above, the acquisition could be receiving an activation request from an another node, in this case, the reception and the transmission form an action of a connection activation service provided by the first node. The activation request can include an ID of the action, and the first node is triggered to perform the action based on the ID of the action. In another possible implementation, when the acquisition is to acquire the information for identifying the device from its local cache, the first node may be triggered to perform the action in response to the acquisition of the information for identifying the device and automatic verification of the pre-condition (e.g., the forwarding rules at the C / M serving gateway of the device and the anchor gateway of the first node has been configured) . By acquiring the information for identifying the action, the first node can correctly perform the action based on the ID of the action. In a possible implementation, the activation request can also be identified by the ID of the action. For example, the activation request can include the ID of the action, when the first node receives the activation request which includes the ID of the action, the first node will know that the activation request is used for requesting activation of the connection.

[0367] With respect to the action of the connection activation service, its NCDL can include the following: a name of the action: connection activation; a pre-condition of the action: the first forwarding rule and the second forwarding rule have been established; a post-condition of the action: the connection is activated; one or more parameters related to the action: input parameters such as the information for identifying the device and  the information for identifying the action; and output parameters such as the information for identifying the first node, information for identifying the downlink connection (including the information for identifying the uplink connection and / or the information for identifying the downlink connection) .

[0368] The following will describe an example NCDL of the action of connection activation service provided by the first node.

[0369] Name of the action: activation of NC (CM) connection.

[0370] Purpose of the action: the action is for a CM (which is a specific example of first node mentioned above) to activate the NC (CM) connection with a device. The effect of this action is for the device to establish mappings between connection ID pair and the NC.

[0371] Pre-condition of the action: a second forwarding rule at device’s serving C / M-TW-GW (which is a specific example of second serving gateway mentioned above) and a first forwarding rule at an anchor C / M-TW-GW (which is a specific example of first serving gateway mentioned above) have been established.

[0372] Post-condition of the action: the connection (which is a specific example of connection mentioned above) is activated

[0373] Table 4 shows parameters related to the NCDL of the action of activation of NC (CM) connection. Table 4

[0374] The shown parameters represent different capability dimensions for the action of NC (CM) connection ID assignment, the capability dimensions can include input dimensions and output dimensions, in which the input dimensions are used to indicate required input information in order for the execution of the action, the output dimensions are used to indicate output of the action. Definition of capability dimensions are as follows: -NC ID: ID of a NC which may be subscribed by the device. -Connection ID (from NC (entity) to device) (which is a specific example of information for identifying the  downlink connection) : ID of the downlink connection. -Connection ID (from device to NC (entity) ) (which is a specific example of information for identifying the uplink  connection) : ID of the uplink connection.

[0375] Use of this NCDL: -This NCDL should be subscribed by a device if the device needs to communicate with a NC. -This NCDL is called after the forwarding rule establishment for this connection by NET4CON. -The execution of this action is for a CM to provide information, such as, its NC ID and IDs of connections between  the device and the NC (entity) , to a device. -The effect of the execution of the action is that the device established local mapping between the connection IDs  and corresponding NC for following up communication on this connection.

[0376] FIG. 7 shows an example including an action of identification assignment service shown in FIG. 5, and an action of connection activation service shown in FIG. 6.

[0377] Before the CM is called for the action of identification assignment service, the device has been subscribed to the CM, and the C / M session has been established, and the device is authorized to access the system.

[0378] Step 1, the CM is called for action of the identification assignment service by the A-CAP service or the NET4CON service.

[0379] Step 2, the CM assigns an ID pair of NC connections between the CM and the device, for the specific assignment process, reference can be made to the description with reference to FIG. 5.

[0380] Step 3 to step 7 are actions of NET4CON. After these steps, the first forwarding rule at a first serving gateway (C / M-TW-GW in NET4CON 1 shown in FIG. 7 which is the anchor gateway of the CM) to which the CM is connected and a second forwarding rule at a second serving gateway (C / M-TW-GW in NET4CON 2 shown in FIG. 7 which is the serving gateway of the device) to which the device is connected have been established; where the first forwarding rule is used for forwarding signaling between the CM and the second serving gateway, and the second forwarding rule is used for forwarding signaling between the first serving gateway and the device.

[0381] Step 8, the CM conducts the action of connection activation service by sending the NCDL to the device using the NC connection established, for the specific activation process, reference can be made to the description with reference to FIG. 6.

[0382] Step 9, the device creates mapping between the ID pair of NC connections and NC ID (e.g., entity of the NC) as shown in Table 4.

[0383] At this point, a NC connection is activated, and then the connection between the CM and the device is established.

[0384] It should be noted although the case where the NC is the CM is illustrated in the above implementations, the solutions are also applicable for the case where the NC is other service in the C / M layer or Service layer. That is, the CM can be replaced by other XaaS service in this example, e.g., any data NC or C / M NC capable of activating NC connection between a device and the data NC or C / M NC.

[0385] In a possible implementation of the present disclosure, the action is provisioning of device reachability information, the action would have its own name for facilitating subscription of other NCs. For example, the action would be named as a “reachability information provisioning action” , or “provisioning of device reachability information” , which is not limited in the embodiments of the present disclosure. As one possible scenario, this action may be called when the reachability information of the device is available and a node needs to get the reachability information. The action would be of the abovementioned Type 1. The present application provides a method applied to the first node to implement the action. FIG. 8A shows a schematic flowchart of a method according to one or more embodiments of the present disclosure, which reflects the execution of the action (forming by reception and transmission) by the first node. The method includes the following steps.

[0386] S801, the first node receives a first provisioning request from an another node.

[0387] Correspondingly, the another node transmits the first provisioning request to the first node.

[0388] S802, the first node transmits a first provisioning response in response to the first provisioning request.

[0389] In a possible implementation, the first node can provide a connectivity management (CM) service in the C / M layer of FIG. 1, the another node can be a node providing any XaaS service in the Service layer, C / M layer or the infrastructure layer of the system shown in FIG. 1.

[0390] In a possible implementation, the first provisioning request is used for requesting reachability information of a device, and the first provisioning request indicates the device. For example, the first provisioning request includes information for identifying the device (e.g., STID or SSTID of the device) . Reference may also made to related description in FIG. 4 and FIG. 5 for possible implementations of indication of the device. By indicating the device in the first provisioning request, the first node can effectively and accurately determine the reachability information related to the device, and provide the same to the another node or other node (s) , which ensures the efficiency of providing the reachability information by the first node (e.g., to the another node) and facilitates network resource allocation and management.

[0391] In a possible implementation, the first provisioning response includes the reachability information, the reachability information is for tracking the device. The reachability information is information that can be used for tracking the device. information about a current attachment point of the device if the device is on the active state, or information about a paging schedule for paging the device if the device is on the idle state. When the device is on the idle state, the device has no established RAN-C / M RB with any RAN; and when the device is on the active state, the device has been attached to a RAN, i.e., at least a pair of RAN-C / M RBs (downlink and uplink) is established; where the RAN-C / M RB is established between the device and the RAN, and is used for carrying control signaling traffic within the RAN on a control and management (C / M) plane.

[0392] In a possible implementation, the reachability information includes an identifier of the device, and the identifier is assigned in response to an authorization for the device to access a system to which the first node and the another node belong. In a possible implementation, the system can be the 6G system including the first node and the another node as shown in FIG. 1, and the identifier is obtained by a default SPM for the device to access the system before the device completes primary mutual authentication to the system, the identifier can be referred to as a subscriber temporary identifier (STID) . By including the identifier of the device in the reachability information, the received reachability information can be associated with the device, and the reliability of provisioning of the reachability information can be ensured.

[0393] In a possible implementation, the state of the device can be indicated in the reachability information, that is, the reachability information indicates the device being on the idle state or the active state. For example, the reachability information includes a state indicator, e.g., MAC state of the device, the MAC state of the device can reflect the idle state or the active state that the device is currently on.

[0394] When the device is on the active state, since the first node is responsible for managing connectivity of the device, so the reachability information is available at the first node. In a possible implementation, the reachability information indicates the device being on the active state, the reachability information further indicates at least one of following items: information for identifying a serving system where the device locates; information for identifying a serving RAN of the device; or, information for identifying a functionality handling one or more RBs of the device, the one or more RBs can be the  abovementioned RAN-RBs or CN-RBs, which are established between the serving RAN and the device.

[0395] For example, the reachability information includes one or more of an ID of the serving system, an ID of the serving RAN, an ID of the functionality.

[0396] With respect to the serving system, it can be a basic architecture structure (BAS) , which is defined by the NET4CON service in the C / M layer and is a unified basic structure with minimized number of interfaces and is independent of types of infrastructures. A BAS is a collection of XaaS services (including C / M plane functions and data plane functions) , trustworthy gateways (TW-GWs) in both C / M plane and data plane, and the interfaces between these functions. An infrastructure network that implements a single 6G System BAS is defined as a BAS domain. Each of RAN, CN, a cloud infrastructure, or a wireless device could be a BAS domain.

[0397] With respect to the serving RAN, it can be a RAN to which the device is attached when the device is on the active state, and the information for identifying the serving RAN can be reported by the device, e.g., based on the action described with reference to FIG. 3A.

[0398] When the device is on the idle state, it is possible to indicate, in the reachability information, a paging schedule for paging the device, the paging schedule includes a time when next paging will be conducted for the device. The paging schedule here may be agreed in advance by both the device and the first node in the abovementioned paging agreement. The incorporation of information about next paging means that the device is not attached to any RAN at the moment, but the first node could still provide such information which may be useful for locating the device in the future.

[0399] As another possible implementation, when the reachability information indicates the device is on the idle state, it is also possible to call a paging action of RAN (s) to obtain the device’s reachability information. In this case, the method further includes: the first node transmitting a paging request to one or more RANs in a tracking area of the device to page the device, where the paging request indicates the device and a paging schedule for paging the device; the first node receiving one or more paging responses from the one or more RANs, where each paging response indicates a paging result. For example, the tracking area and the paging schedule here may be agreed in advance by both the device and the first node in the abovementioned paging agreement. The first node can call the one or more RANs, based on the paging agreement of the device, to page the device when the device is on the idle, so that the reachability information can still be achieved when a RAN among the one or more RANs locates the device.

[0400] Correspondingly , the one or more RANs receive the paging request from the first node, and transmit the one or more paging responses to the first node. It should be noted that the paging request may also be identified by an ID of the paging action of the one or more RANs. For example, the paging request can include the ID of the action, when each of the one or more RANs receives the paging request which includes the ID of the action, each of the one or more RANs will know that the paging request is used for paging a device.

[0401] The paging request can include a paging identifier and / or the identifier mentioned above, the paging identifier could be shorter than the identifier above. The paging schedule can be a time interval defined by the device or the system. Each of the one or more RANs pages the device in response to the paging request, and transmits the paging response to the first node. The paging response from each RAN can include the paging result indicating whether the device is attached to this RAN. When the paging result indicates that the device is attached to this RAN, it means that this RAN is the serving RAN of the device. In a possible implementation, when a paging result of a paging response among the one or more responses from the one or more RANs indicates a serving RAN of the device (the device has been located) , the reachability information further indicates at least one of following items: information for identifying a serving system where the device locates; information for identifying the serving RAN of the device; or, information for identifying a functionality handling one or more RBs of the device. At this time, the device is transitioned from the idle state to the active state. For description of the serving system and the one or more RBs, reference may be made to the above description for the case where the device is on the active state.

[0402] In a possible implementation, the step of S802 can include: the first node transmitting the first provisioning response in response to the first provisioning request to the another node, or transmitting the first provisioning response in response to the first provisioning request to other node other than the another node. In the latter scenario, the system to which the first node, the another node and the other node belong can be regarded to as a chain, the first node, another node and the other node are members of the chain, and the first node automatically transmits the first provisioning response to the other node in the chain.

[0403] In a possible implementation, the reception and the transmission form an action of a reachability information provisioning service provided by the first node, and the action is subscribed by the another node, and the another node provides an A-CAP service. The first node is designed to perform the action including the reception and the transmission, so as to improve the efficiency of reachability information provisioning and realize the automation of reachability information provisioning.

[0404] In a possible implementation, the first provisioning request further indicates information for identifying the action. For example, the first provisioning request can include an ID of the action, and the first node is triggered to perform the action based on the ID of the action. By including the information for identifying the action in the request, the first node can correctly perform the action based on the ID of the action. In a possible implementation, the first provisioning request can also be identified by the ID of the action. For example, the first provisioning request can include the ID of the action, when the first node receives the first provisioning request which includes the ID of the action, the first node will know that the first provisioning request is used for requesting reachability information of a device.

[0405] In a possible implementation, before performing the action, the reachability information of the device is available.

[0406] With respect to the action of the reachability information provisioning service, its NCDL can include the following: a name of the action: reachability information provisioning; a pre-condition of the action: the reachability information of the device is available; a post-condition of the action: the reachability information of the device is provided; one or more parameters related to the action: input parameters such as the information for identifying the device and  the information for identifying the action; and output parameters such as the information for identifying the device, the reachability information.

[0407] The following will describe an example NCDL of the action of reachability information provisioning service provided by the first node.

[0408] Name of the action: provisioning of device reachability information.

[0409] Purpose of the action: the action is for a CM (which is a specific example of first node mentioned above) to provide reachability information of a device.

[0410] Pre-condition of the action: reachability status (which is also referred to as reachability information above) of the device is available.

[0411] Post-condition of the action: the reachability status of the device is provided.

[0412] Table 5 shows parameters related to the NCDL of the action of device reachability information. Table 5

[0413] The shown parameters represent different capability dimensions for the action of provisioning of device reachability information, the capability dimensions can include input dimensions and output dimensions, in which the input dimensions are used to indicate required input information in order for the execution of the action, the output dimensions are used to indicate output of the action. Definition of capability dimensions are as follows: -Device ID: ID of the device. -MAC state: an active state or an idle state the device is currently on. -BAS ID: ID of a network domain (which is a specific example of serving system mentioned above) where the  device currently locates if the device is on active state. -RAN (cell) ID: ID of RAN / cell (which is a specific example of serving RAN mentioned above) where the device  currently attaches if the device is on the active state. -RB handler ID: ID of RB handler (which is a specific example of functionality handling one or more RBs mentioned  above) which is handling corresponding RBs if the device is on the active state. -Next paging time (which is a specific example of paging schedule mentioned above) : provides a time value when  next paging operation will be conducted for this device.

[0414] Use of this NCDL: -This NCDL may be subscribed by other NCs, e.g., any XaaS service in the service layer, C / M layer or the  infrastructure layer of the system shown in FIG. 1. These service are specific example services provided by another node mentioned above; -This action is called when the reachability information is needed. -When called, the input may include device ID. The output may include some or all available information. -If a device XXX is in active state, the attachment point information (which is a specific example of information for  identifying a serving RAN of the device mentioned above) is provided. If the device is in idle state, the next paging time is included.

[0415] FIG. 8B shows an example including an action of reachability information provisioning service shown in FIG. 8A in a case where the device is on an idle state, thus an action of paging service provided by a RAN is also shown in this figure.

[0416] Before the CM is called for the action of reachability information provisioning service, the reachability information of the device is available. The example includes the followings steps.

[0417] Step 1, other NC calls CM’s action, the action is provisioning of reachability information of the device, the other NC can be any XaaS service in the service layer, C / M layer or the infrastructure layer of the system shown in FIG. 1.

[0418] Step 2, the CM checks its local cache and determines that the device is currently on the idle state, and determines RAN (Cell) s (e.g., RAN-1 and RAN-2) in a tracking area of the device that should participate in the paging event.

[0419] Step 3, the CM calls RAN action, the RAN action is paging to locate the attachment point of the device, using corresponding NCDL of the RAN action with indication of paging schedule of the device.

[0420] Step 4, all called RANs page the device following the paging instruction carried in the input of NCDL.

[0421] Step 5.1, a RAN sends output of NCDL of action “Paging to locate attachment point of device” , the RAN is thus a serving RAN that does find the device, i.e., it has established a pair of RAN C / M RBs with the device, and become serving RAN (Cell) of this device. Attachment point RAN-2 shown in FIG. 8B is the serving RAN.

[0422] Step 5.2, remaining RAN (Cell) sreply the CM using the NCDL output, the remaining RANs are RANs that didn’ t locate the device, e.g., the non attachment point RAN-1 shown in FIG. 8B is one of the remaining RANs.

[0423] Step 6, after the CM receives all of these replies and obtained the attachment point information, serving RAN (Cell) , the CM provides the information using the NCDL (output) of the action “provisioning of device reachability information” .

[0424] In a possible implementation of the present disclosure, the action is provisioning of device CN-RB establishment information, the action would have its own name for facilitating subscription of other NCs. For example, the action would be named as a “RB establishment information provisioning action” , or “provisioning of device CN-RB establishment information” , which is not limited in the embodiments of the present disclosure. As one possible scenario, the action may be called when information about the RB is needed. For example, when the RB is a CN-RB, such information may be needed for establishing mapping between the CN-RB and a session between the device and its serving gateway. The action would be of the abovementioned Type 1. The present application provides a method applied to a first node to implement the action. FIG. 9 shows a schematic flowchart of a method according to one or more embodiments of the present disclosure, which reflects the execution of the action (forming by reception and transmission) by the first node. The method includes the following steps.

[0425] S901, the first node receives a second provisioning request from an another node.

[0426] Correspondingly, the another node transmits the second provisioning request to the first node.

[0427] S902, the first node transmits a second provisioning response in response to the second provisioning request.

[0428] In a possible implementation, the first node can provide a connectivity management (CM) service in the C / M layer of FIG. 1, the another node can provide an A-CAP service or NET4CON service.

[0429] In a possible implementation, the second provisioning request is used for requesting information about at least one RB of a device, and the second provisioning request indicates the device; where the at least one RB is established between the device and a serving RAN of the device. In a possible implementation, the second provisioning request includes an identifier of the device, and the identifier is assigned in response to an authorization for the device to access a system to which the first node and the another node belong. The system can be the 6G system including the first node and the another node as shown in FIG. 1, and the identifier is obtained by a default SPM for the device to access the system before the device completes primary mutual authentication to the system, the identifier can be referred to as an STID or SSTID of the device. Reference may also made to related description in FIG. 4 and FIG. 5 for possible implementations of indication of the device. By indicating the device in the second provisioning request, the first node can effectively and accurately determine the RB establishment information related to the device, and provide the same to the another node or other node (s) , which ensures the efficiency of provisioning the RB establishment information from the first node to the another node and facilitates network resource allocation and management.

[0430] In a possible implementation, the second provisioning response includes information for identifying the serving RAN, information about a type of each of the at least one RB and information for identifying each of the at least one RB.

[0431] In a possible implementation, the serving RAN of the device can be a RAN to which the device is attached when the device is on the active state, and the at least one RB is established between the device and the serving RAN. In a possible implementation, the at least one RB can be a RAN-RB or a CN-RB, the RAN-RB is used for carrying control signaling traffic within the serving RAN on a C / M plane or data traffic within the serving RAN on a data plane, that is, the control signaling traffic or the data traffic carried by the RAN-RB is routed to the serving RAN. In another possible implementation, the at least one RB is the CN-RB, the at least one RB is used for carrying traffic during a first session and / or a second session; where the first session a logical connection established between the device and a C / M serving gateway of the device connected to the serving RAN; where the second session is a logical connection established between the device and a data serving gateway of the device connected to the serving RAN. The control signaling traffic or the data traffic carried by the CN-RB is routed to the core network (CN) . In a possible implementation, the C / M serving gateway and the data serving gateway of the device can be deployed in the serving RAN, or can deployed in other node in the system, which is not limited in the embodiments of the present disclosure.

[0432] In a possible implementation, the first session includes a first uplink session from the device to the C / M serving gateway and a first downlink session from the C / M serving gateway to the device, and the second session includes a second uplink session from the device to the data serving gateway and a second downlink session from the data serving gateway to the device; in this case, the type of each of the at least one RB is one of following: a C / M RB type for carrying control signaling traffic during the first uplink session, that is, the RB is an uplink CN- C / M RB; a C / M RB type for carrying control signaling traffic during the first downlink session, that is, the RB is a downlink  CN-C / M RB; a data RB type for carrying data traffic during the second uplink session, that is, the RB is an uplink CN-data RB;  or, a data RB type for carrying data traffic during the second downlink session, that is, the RB is a downlink CN-data  RB.

[0433] Incorporating the above information in the second provisioning response allows for a comprehensive and multidimensional provisioning of the RB establishment information to the another node, which ensures the efficiency of provisioning of the RB establishment information and facilitates network resource allocation and management.

[0434] In a possible implementation, for a respective RB of the at least one RB, the respective RB is an uplink RB from the device to the first node or a downlink RB from the first node to the device; the information for identifying the respective RB (i.e., the information for identifying each of the at least one RB included in the second provisioning response above) includes information for identifying the uplink RB or information for identifying the downlink RB. When combining the type of the RB, the uplink RB can be of a C / M RB type when the uplink RB is used for the first uplink session, or a data RB type when the uplink RB is used for the second uplink session; the downlink RB can be a C / M RB type when the downlink RB is used for the first downlink session, or be a data RB type when the downlink RB is used for the second downlink session. By distinguishing between the uplink RB and the downlink RB, the management and allocation of network resources can be optimized, leading to better network service quality.

[0435] In a possible implementation, before the step S901 of receiving the second provisioning request, the at least one RB has been established. In this way, the pre-condition of the provisioning of the RB establishment information is met, so as to ensure the normal execution of the provisioning of the RB establishment information.

[0436] In a possible implementation, the reception and the transmission form an action of a RB establishment information provisioning service provided by the first node, and the action is subscribed by the another node, and the another node provides an A-CAP service or a connecting service (NET4CON) . The first node is designed to perform the action including the reception and the transmission, so as to improve the efficiency of provisioning of the RB establishment information and realize the automation of provisioning of the RB establishment information.

[0437] In a possible implementation, the second provisioning request further indicates information for identifying the action. For example, the first provisioning request can include an ID of the action, and the first node is triggered to perform the action based on the ID of the action. By including the information for identifying the action in the request, the first node can correctly perform the action based on the ID of the action. In a possible implementation, the second provisioning request can also be identified by the ID of the action. For example, the second provisioning request can include the ID of the action, when the first node receives the second provisioning request which includes the ID of the action, the first node will know that the second provisioning request is used for requesting information about at least one RB of a device.

[0438] In a possible implementation, the step of S902 can include: the first node transmitting the second provisioning response in response to the second provisioning request to the another node, or transmitting the second provisioning response in response to the second provisioning request to other node other than the another node. In the latter scenario, the system to which the first node, the another node and the other node belong can be regarded to as a chain, the first node, another node and the other node are members of the chain, and the first node automatically transmits the first provisioning response to the other node in the chain.

[0439] With respect to the action of the RB establishment information provisioning service, its NCDL can include the following: a name of the action: RB establishment information provisioning; a pre-condition of the action: the RB has been established; a post-condition of the action: the information about the at least one RB of the device is provided. one or more parameters related to the action: input parameters such as the information for identifying the device and  the information for identifying the action; and output parameters such as the information for identifying the device, the information for identifying the serving RAN, the information about the type of each of the at least one RB and the information for identifying each of the at least one RB.

[0440] The following will describe an example NCDL of the action of RB establishment information provisioning service provided by the first node, and the RB is a CN-RB in this example.

[0441] Name of the action: provisioning of CN-RB establishment information.

[0442] Purpose of the action: the action is for a CM (which is a specific example of first node mentioned above) to provide establishment information of a CN-RB (which is a specific example of at least one RB mentioned above) for a device that will be used for carrying traffic during C / M session (which is a specific example of first session mentioned above) or data session (which is a specific example of second session mentioned above) .

[0443] Pre-condition of the action: the CN-RB has been established.

[0444] Post-condition of the action: the establishment information CN-RB is provided.

[0445] Table 6 shows parameters related to the NCDL of the action of provisioning of CN-RB establishment information. Table 6

[0446] The shown parameters represent different capability dimensions for the action of provisioning of CN-RB establishment information, the capability dimensions can include input dimensions and output dimensions, in which the input dimensions are used to indicate required input information in order for the execution of the action, the output dimensions are used to indicate output of the action. Definition of capability dimensions are as follows: -RAN ID (which is a specific example of information for identifying the serving RAN mentioned above) : ID of a  RAN / cell (which is a specific example of serving RAN mentioned above) that is currently attachment point of the device XXX. -CN-RB type (which is a specific example of information about the type of each of the at least one RB mentioned  above) : the types of RBs, C / M RB (UL / DL) , or Data RB (UL / DL) . -CN-RB info (which is a specific example of information for identifying each of the at least one RB mentioned  above) : IDs of RBs corresponding to the indication in dimension of “CN-RB type” .

[0447] Use of this NCDL: -This NCDL should be subscribed by other NCs, such as, A-CAP, NET4CON, etc., these services are specific  example services provided by another node mentioned above. -This NCDL is called when information on the established CN-RBs is needed for purpose of, e.g., session ID  mapping to the RB ID. -When called, the device ID may be indicated and all CN-RBs’ or simply newly established CN-RB’s information  may be included.

[0448] In a possible implementation of the present disclosure, the action is provisioning of device mobility history information, the action would have its own name for facilitating subscription of other NCs. For example, the action would be named as a “mobility record provisioning action” , or “provisioning of device mobility history information” , which is not limited in the embodiments of the present disclosure. As one possible scenario, the action may be called when the mobility information of the device is needed and is allowed to be exposed to an another node (e.g., third party) . The action would be of the abovementioned Type 1. The present application provides a method applied to a first node to implement the action. FIG. 10A shows a schematic flowchart of a method according to one or more embodiments of the present disclosure, which reflects the execution of the action (forming by reception and transmission) by the first node. The method includes the following steps.

[0449] S1001, the first node receives a third provisioning request from an another node.

[0450] Correspondingly, the another node transmits the third provisioning request to the first node.

[0451] S1002, the first node transmits a third provisioning response in response to the third provisioning request.

[0452] In a possible implementation, the first node can provide a connectivity management (CM) service in the C / M layer of FIG. 1, the another node can provide any XaaS service in the service layer, C / M layer or the infrastructure layer of the system shown in FIG. 1.

[0453] In a possible implementation, the third provisioning request is used for requesting mobility information of a device during a time period, and the third provisioning request indicates the device and the time period. The mobility information may be effective for locating the device, e.g., the device is still reachable by using the mobility information, then the mobility information may be similar to the above reachability information. The mobility information may also be historical reachability information which is no longer effective for locating the device. The effectiveness of the mobility information actually depends on the time period. The time period can be defined by the another node according to actual needs. In a possible implementation, the time period could include a historical time period and / or a future time period, the historical time period can be, for example, a past hour or day, and the future time period can be, for example, a next hour or day, which is not limited in the embodiments of the present disclosure. In a case where the time period is the future time period, the mobility information requested by the another node is reachability information of the device in real-time during this time period, the reachability information may be acquired in a way as described above with reference to FIG. 8A. In a case where the time period is the historical time period, the mobility information requested by the another node is historical reachability information of the device during this time period. By indicating the device and the time period in the third provisioning request, the first node can effectively and accurately determine the mobility information of the device during the time period, and provide the same to the another node or other node (s) , which ensures the efficiency of provisioning the mobility information from the first node to the another node and facilitates network resource allocation and management.

[0454] In a possible implementation, the third provisioning request includes an identifier of the device, and the identifier is assigned in response to an authorization for the device to access a system to which the first node belongs. For example, the identifier is an STID or SSTID of the device, reference may be made to related description in FIG. 4 and FIG. 5 for possible implementations of indication of the device.

[0455] In a possible implementation, the third provisioning response indicates a request result of the third provisioning request, the request result may indicate the mobility information or indicate that there is no mobility information. For the case where the request result indicates that the mobility information is none, it is possible that the mobility information is not available, it is also possible that the mobility information is not allowed to be exposed when the another node is the requester.

[0456] In a possible implementation, whether the first node could expose the mobility information may be determined based on the reachability agreement agreed in advance between the first node and the device, as described with reference to FIG. 3A, the indication of the reachability agreement may be: exposing the reachability information in any case, exposing the reachability information when a provisioning condition defined by the device or the first node is met (conditional exposure) , or not exposing the reachability information in any case. For the case of conditional exposure, the provisioning condition can be set by integrating a requester's identity, purpose of using the reachability information, etc., which is not limited in the embodiments of the present disclosure.

[0457] In a possible implementation, when the mobility information is allowed to be exposed to the another node, the request result includes following items: an identifier of the device (e.g., STID or SSTID of the device) , reference may also made to related description in FIG. 4 and FIG. 5 for possible implementations of indication of the device; a type of the mobility information; the mobility information. Incorporating the above information in the request result allows for a comprehensive and multidimensional provisioning of the mobility information to the another node, which ensures the efficiency of provisioning of the mobility information and facilitates network resource allocation and management. In a possible implementation, the type of the mobility information is one or more of following items: information about one or more RANs to which the device attaches during the time period; information about one or more zones in which the device resides during the time period; or, information about one or more geographic coordinates of the device during the time period. In a possible implementation, the one or more RANs can be RAN (s) to which the device is / has been attached, the one or more zones in which the device resides / has resided reflects the MAP based technologies, and the one or more geographic coordinates of the device can refer to absolute geographic coordinates at which the device is / was located. During the device’s subscription to the first node, it may have subscribed to several types of mobile information, and thus provisioning of the mobile information based on the subscription can be achieved in a more flexible way, thereby enhancing the management and allocation of network resources, leading to better network service quality.

[0458] In a possible implementation, when the mobility information is not allowed to be exposed to the another node, the request result indicates the mobility information is none. In this way, the mobility information of the device can be handled securely and in accordance with privacy policies, and provides flexibility in network management, thus optimizing network resource management.

[0459] In a possible implementation, the reception and the transmission form an action of a mobility record provisioning service provided by the first node, and the action is subscribed by the another node. The first node is designed to perform the action including the reception and the transmission, so as to improve the efficiency of the mobility information provisioning and realize the automation of the mobility information provisioning.

[0460] In a possible implementation, the third provisioning request further indicates information for identifying the action. For example, the first provisioning request can include an ID of the action, and the first node is triggered to perform the action based on the ID of the action. By including the information for identifying the action in the request, the first node can correctly perform the action based on the ID of the action. In a possible implementation, the third provisioning request can also be identified by the ID of the action. For example, the third provisioning request can include the ID of the action, when the first node receives the third provisioning request which includes the ID of the action, the first node will know that the third provisioning request is used for requesting mobility information of a device during a time period.

[0461] In a possible implementation, before performing the action, the mobility information of the device is available. Sometimes when the another node is a third party node (or referred to as 3rd party, in this case the another node does not belong to the system which includes the first node) , the pre-condition of the mobility information provisioning would further include verifying whether the provisioning condition for exposing the mobility information to the third party node in the reachability agreement is met, this verification may be done based on information in the third provisioning request, such as the third party node’s identity, etc.

[0462] In a possible implementation, the step of S1002 can include: the first node transmitting the third provisioning response in response to the third provisioning request to the another node, or transmitting the third provisioning response in response to the third provisioning request to other node other than the another node. In the latter scenario, the system to which the first node, the another node and the other node belong can be regarded to as a chain, the first node, another node and the other node are members of the chain, and the first node automatically transmits the third provisioning response to the other node in the chain.

[0463] With respect to the action of the mobility record provisioning service, its NCDL can include the following: a name of the action: mobility record provisioning; a pre-condition of the action: the mobility information of the device is available, and optional the provisioning  condition has been checked and is met if the mobility information is going to be exposed to a 3rd party; a post-condition of the action: the mobility information of the device is provided or not; one or more parameters related to the action: input parameters such as the identifier of the device, the time period,  and the information for identifying the action; and output parameters such as the request result, e.g., the identifier of the device, the type of the mobility information and the mobility information.

[0464] The following will describe an example NCDL of the action of mobility record provisioning service provided by the first node, and a case where the mobility information is the historical reachability information is shown in this example.

[0465] Name of the action: provisioning of mobility information.

[0466] Purpose of the action: this action is for a CM (which is a specific example of first node mentioned above) to provide information of a device’s mobility information. The information exposure to a 3rd party (which is a specific example of another node mentioned above) needs to be evaluated based on subscription of “Tracking of device reachability” .

[0467] Pre-condition of the action: the mobility information of the device is available and provisioning condition has been checked and is met if the mobility information is going to be exposed to the 3rd party.

[0468] Post-condition of the action: mobility information is provided or not.

[0469] Table 7 shows parameters related to the NCDL of the action of provisioning of mobility information. Table 7

[0470] The shown parameters represent different capability dimensions for the action of provisioning of mobility information, the capability dimensions can include input dimensions and output dimensions, in which the input dimensions are used to indicate required input information in order for the execution of the action, the output dimensions are used to indicate output of the action. As shown in Table 7, the device selects two types of the reachability information during the negotiation described with reference to FIG. 3A, i.e., the RAN type and the geographic coordinate type. When the mobility information is allowed to be exposed to the another node, the output parameters includes device ID, and the location record type is “serving RAN (cell) ID” and / or “Geographic location samples” , and the History info is “serving RAN (cell) ID” and / or “samples values” . When the mobility information is not allowed to be exposed to the another node, the output parameters includes device ID, and the location record type is “NA” , and the History info is “NA” .

[0471] Definition of capability dimension are as follows: -Time period in which location information needed: indicate the time period during that the mobility information of  the device is needed. -3rd party info: 3rd party info needed for a customer / device to determine whether the info can be exposed to the 3rd  party when the request is from a 3rd party. -Location record type (which is a specific example of type of the mobility information mentioned above) : indicate  the record type, either RANs (cells) ID list, or geographic location samples. -History info (which is a specific example of mobility information mentioned above) : indicate the recorded mobility  information.

[0472] Use of this NCDL: -This NCDL can be subscribed by any NCs, e.g., any XaaS service in the service layer, C / M layer or the  infrastructure layer of the system shown in FIG. 1. Theses service are specific example services provided by another node mentioned above. -When the action is called, the input may include device ID and time period, e.g., ZZZ and the NCDL provides  information on device mobility records. -When called and the information is requested by a 3rd party, CM should evaluate the whether the information can  be provided to 3rd party, depending on the indication in NCDL of “Tracking of device reachability” .

[0473] FIG. 10B shows an example including an action of mobility record provisioning service shown in FIG. 10A in a case where the action is subscribed by the CONET through its functionality (CONET-Network Openness Management, CONET-NOM) .

[0474] Before the CM is called for the action of mobility record provisioning service, the mobility information of the device is available. In this example, the result of negotiation between the device and the CM is expressed as a collection of options with underline in Table 1. As shown in Table 1, the mobility information of the device is not allowed to exposed to the 3rd party. The example includes the following steps.

[0475] In this example, the behavior of CM upon called for information exposure is illustrated.

[0476] Step 1, other NC (e.g., CONET shown in FIG. 10B) calls CM action “Provisioning of mobility history (i.e., mobility record provisioning service) ” to the 3rd party.

[0477] Step 2, the CM checks device subscription information on item of “Mobility history exposure” in Table 1.

[0478] Step 3, in this example, the customer / device selected “Not exposure” at subscription / negotiation.

[0479] Step 4, the CM replies with “NA” , based on the subscription of action of reachability management service of the device.

[0480] In a possible implementation of the present disclosure, the action is triggering of RB pre-establishment, the action would have its own name for facilitating subscription of other NCs. For example, the action would be named as a “RB pre-establishment action” , or “triggering of RB pre-establishment” , which is not limited in the embodiments of the present disclosure. As one possible scenario, the action may be called when an RB needs to be pre-established for the device, for example, the device may be moving to a new attachment point, so its old attachment point may automatically trigger the pre-establishment of RB (s) for the device at a candidate attachment point which subscribes to the action. The action would be of the abovementioned Type 3. The present application provides a method applied to a first node to implement the action. FIG. 11 shows a schematic flowchart of a method according to one or more embodiments of the present disclosure, which reflects the execution of the action (forming by determination and transmission) by the first node. The method includes the following steps.

[0481] S1101, the first node determines that a trigger condition is satisfied.

[0482] S1102, the first node transmits an establishment request to a second node.

[0483] In a possible implementation, the first node can provide a connectivity management (CM) service in the C / M layer of FIG. 1, the third node can be a radio access network (RAN) to which the device is currently attached, that is, the third node is an attachment point of the device, and the second node can be a RAN to which the device is expected to be attached to, that is, the second node is a potential new attachment point of the device.

[0484] The establishment request is used for requesting establishment of one or more RBs between the device and the second node, and the establishment request indicates a third node to which the device is attached and one or more RBs between the device and the third node. In a possible implementation, the one or more RBs for the device can be CN-RB (s) used for carrying traffic during a session, the session can be a logical connection established between the device and a C / M serving gateway of the device, or a logical connection established between the device and a data serving gateway of the device.

[0485] In a possible implementation, the trigger condition includes: a possibility of the device moving into a coverage of the second node being greater than a preset threshold. The preset threshold could be defined by the device or the system, which is not limited in the embodiments of the present disclosure. For example, when the possibility is greater than the preset threshold, the first node determines that a trigger condition is satisfied, and then transmits the establishment request to the second node, so that the device will establish a connection with the second node through the establishment of one or more RBs between the device and the second node. In this way, the pre-condition of the pre-establishment of the candidate attachment point for the device is met, so as to ensure the normal execution of the pre-establishment of the candidate attachment point.

[0486] In a possible implementation, the establishment request includes an identifier of the device and information for identifying the third node (e.g., ID of the third node assigned by the system) . The identifier of the device is assigned in response to an authorization for the device to access a system to which the first node and the second node belong. In a possible implementation, the system can be a 6G system including the first node, the second node and the third node, and the identifier of the device is obtained by a default SPM for the device to access the system before the device completes primary mutual authentication to the system, the identifier can be referred to as an STID, reference may be made to related description with reference to FIG. 4. Alternatively, the identifier can be an SSTID, reference may be made to related description with reference to FIG. 5.

[0487] In a possible implementation, the establishment request may also include at least one of following items: information for identifying the second node; a number of at least one first RB among the one or more RBs between the device and the third node, where the at  least one first RB is used for carrying control signaling traffic during at least one first session; a number of at least one second RB among the one or more RBs between the device and the third node, where the  at least one second RB is used for carrying data traffic during at least one second session; a number of at least one first session; quality of service (QoS) information corresponding to the at least one first  session; a number of at least one second session; QoS information corresponding to the at least one second session; information for identifying the at least one first session; information for identifying the at least one second session; or, a possibility of the device moving into a coverage of the second node, the possibility generally provides a basis for  determining whether triggering condition is met by the first node, and it may also be passed to the second node for verification of such determination.

[0488] Here the first session is a logical connection established between the device and a C / M serving gateway of the device connected to the third node, the second session is a logical connection established between the device and a data serving gateway of the device connected to the third node. In a possible implementation, the C / M serving gateway and the data serving gateway of the device can be deployed in the third node, or can deployed in other node in the system, which is not limited in the embodiments of the present disclosure. Incorporating the above information in the establishment request allows for a comprehensive and multidimensional sharing of information related to pre-establishment of the candidate attachment point and information related to the current attachment point of the device with the second node, which ensures the efficiency of the pre-establishment of the candidate attachment point and ensures the quality of the device’s communication with the network system. In a possible implementation, the first RB and the second RB can be called as a CN-C / M RB and a CN-data RB respectively, and the CN-C / M RB and the CN-data RB are used for carrying the control signaling traffic and the data traffic that are routed to the core network (CN) respectively. The first session and the second session can be called as a C / M session and a data session, and each C / M session has its corresponding CN-C / M RB, each data session has its corresponding CN-data RB.

[0489] When the trigger condition is satisfied, the first node can quickly find a candidate attachment (i.e., second node) for the device, and transmits necessary information to the second node for pre-establishing the connection between the device and the second node, which avoids a situation where the device has no attachment point, and ensures the quality of the device’s communication with the network system.

[0490] In a possible implementation, from the above, the determination and the transmission form an action of a pre-establishment service provided by the first node, and the action is subscribed by the second node. For example, the second node can be another RAN. The first node is designed to perform the action including the determination and the transmission, so as to improve the efficiency of pre-establishment of the candidate attachment point for the device and realize the automation of pre-establishment the device.

[0491] With respect to the action of the pre-establishment service, its NCDL can include the following: a name of the action: RB pre-establishment; a pre-condition of the action: the possibility of the device moving into the coverage of the second node being greater  than a preset threshold; a post-condition of the action: one or more RBs are pre-established at the second node; one or more parameters related to the action: output parameters such as the identifier of the device, the information  for identifying the third node, the information for identifying the second node, the number of the at least one first RB, the number of at least one second RB, the number of at least one first session, the QoS information corresponding to the at least one first session, the number of the at least one second session, the QoS information corresponding to the at least one second session, the information for identifying the at least one first session, the information for identifying the at least one second session or, the possibility of the device moving into the coverage of the second node.

[0492] It should be noted that the establishment request may also be identified by an ID of the RB establishment action of the second node. For example, the establishment request can include the ID of the action, when the second node receives the establishment request which includes the ID of the action, the second node will know that the establishment request is used for requesting establishment of a RB between the second node and a device.

[0493] The following will describe an example NCDL of the action of pre-establishment service provided by the first node.

[0494] Name of the action: triggering of RB pre-establishment for supporting optimal HO.

[0495] Purpose of the action: the action is for a CM (which is a specific example of first node mentioned above) to trigger RB pre-establishment for a device at a candidate RAN (which is a specific example of second node mentioned above) for support HO optimization.

[0496] Pre-condition of the action: a possibility of a device moving into a new attachment point (i.e., the candidate RAN) higher than a pre-defined value with certain confidence.

[0497] Post-condition of the action: RBs is pre-established at the potential new attachment point of the device.

[0498] Table 8 shows parameters related to the NCDL of the action of triggering of RB pre-establishment. Table 8

[0499] The shown parameters represent different capability dimensions for the action of triggering of RB pre-establishment, the capability dimensions can include output dimensions, in which the output dimensions are used to indicate output of the action. Definition of capability dimensions are as follows: -current attachment point ID (i.e., RAN (Cell) ) : ID of current attachment point RAN / Cell (which is a specific  example of third node mentioned above) ; -a number of CN-C / M RB: a number of currently established CN-C / M RBs (which are specific examples of at least  one first RB mentioned above) in the current attachment point; -a number of CN-data RB: a number of currently established CN-data RBs (which are specific examples of at least  one second RB mentioned above) in the current attachment point; -a number of C / M session: a number of currently established C / M sessions (which are specific examples of at least  one first session mentioned above) in the current attachment point; -a number of data session: a number of currently established data sessions (which are specific examples of at least  one second session mentioned above) in the current attachment point; -C / M session IDs: a list of IDs and QoS values corresponding to the number of C / M sessions; -data session IDs: a list of IDs and QoS values corresponding to the number of data sessions; -a possibility of device moving in: a possibility of a device moving into the potential new attachment point.

[0500] The use of this NCDL: -This NCDL could subscribed by a RAN if such pre-RB establishment scheme is supported. -This action is executed for a CM to autonomously trigger a pre-configured mission for pre-establishment of CN- RBs at a potential new attachment point (RAN (Cell) ID) for a device. The pre-defined condition is the possibility of the device would move into the new attachment point is higher than a pre-defined threshold. -The NCDL provide information, such as, device ID, current attachment point, existing RBs, existing sessions and  possibility to move into. -The effect of this action is that the potential new attachment point RAN (Cell) establishes CN-RBs and mapping  of RB IDs and session IDs.

[0501] In a possible implementation of the present disclosure, the action is mission execution status update, the action would have its own name for facilitating subscription of other NCs. For example, the action would be named as a “mission execution status update action” , or “mission execution status update” , which is not limited in the embodiments of the present disclosure. As one possible scenario, the action is subscribed by A-CAP, so that one or more nodes participating in provisioning of mission service may report their execution status to the A-CAP, and the A-CAP can consequently get acknowledge of the execution status to take proper actions, such as re-configuring the mission session and / or creating a local record for performance evaluation by CONET. The action would be of the abovementioned Type 3. The present application provides a method for interaction between a first node and an another node to implement the action. FIG. 12 shows a schematic flowchart of a method according to one or more embodiments of the present disclosure, which reflects the execution of the action (forming by reporting) by the first node. The method includes the following steps.

[0502] S1201, the first node reports execution status of an operation in a mission session to an another node, and the another node receives the execution status of the operation in the mission session from the first node

[0503] In a possible implementation, the mission session is used for providing a mission service through one or more operations conducted by one or more nodes, the one or more operations includes the operation. The execution status reflects whether the first node successfully executes the operation, it may indicate that the operation is failed and a reason of a failure for the operation, or it may indicate that the operation is successful. It should be noted that one node may execute one or more operations, and each operation executed by each node can have its corresponding execution status.

[0504] In a possible implementation, the another node can provide an A-CAP service, the one or more nodes can be any XaaS service except the A-CAP service in the service layer, C / M layer or the infrastructure layer of the system shown in FIG. 1, and the first node can be any one of the one or more nodes. In a possible implementation, the A-CAP service is responsible for the provisioning of the one or more operations, so as to provide the mission session.

[0505] In a possible implementation, the reason of the failure for the operation includes one or more of: 1) the operation being not executed by a node which is responsible for executing the operation among the one or  more nodes; 2) no acknowledgement of the operation is received; 3) one or more output parameters being missing or having mistake in an execution result of the operation; 4) one or more input parameters for executing the operation being missing or having mistake.

[0506] With respect to the first reason, this may happen when the node which executes the operation cannot execute the operation due to its local reason, e.g., some local fault (local cache didn’ t cache required information) happens and causes a failure of execution.

[0507] With respect to the second reason, the one or more operations may be executed by the one or more nodes automatically in a certain order to fulfill the provisioning of the mission service, after executing the operation by a sending node (one of the one or more nodes) , an intermediate result may be passed from the sending node to a receiving node (another one of the one or more nodes) , an acknowledgement needs to be fed back by the receiving node to the sending node for reliability purpose, when there is no such acknowledgement, the execution status is deemed to be failed and the reason would be no acknowledgement of the operation is received.

[0508] With respect to the third reason and the fourth reason, as described above, the one or more nodes may execute the one or more operations automatically in a certain order, the order may be configured by the A-CAP service, and by default design, when passing intermediate result from one node to another node with designed NDCL, some input parameters or output parameters may be missing or have mistake (s) , these would also cause failure in the execution status.

[0509] By indicating the specific reason of the failure for the operation in the execution status, it facilitates the anther node to gain a more comprehensive understanding of the operation, thereby enhancing the effectiveness of subsequent error corrections and ensuring the reliability of the execution of the mission session.

[0510] In a possible implementation, the execution status indicates that the operation is failed, and the method further include: the another node recording the execution status of the operation; and / or, re-configuring the mission session based on the execution status of the operation. By indicating the above two information in the execution status, the another node can effectively and accurately locate which operation in which mission has the error, thereby improving the efficiency of the execution of the mission session.

[0511] In a possible implementation, the execution status further indicates: information for identifying the mission session; information for identifying the operation. For example, the execution status includes an ID of the mission session, and an ID of the operation, these IDs may be assigned by the another node.

[0512] In a possible implementation, the reporting of the execution status is triggered after execution of the mission session; or, the reporting of the execution status is triggered by an abnormality detected during execution of the operation. In this way, different occasions are provided for the reporting, the flexibility of the reporting and the reliability of the execution of the mission session can be ensured, and the management and allocation of network resources can be further improved.

[0513] In the execution process of the mission session by the one or more nodes, each of the one or more nodes (e.g., first node) could report the execution status to the another node, so that the another node can timely acquire the execution status of the operation, and subsequently re-configure the mission session and / or re-program provisioning of mission service when the operation is failed, which ensures the reliability of the execution of the mission session and further improves the management and allocation of network resources.

[0514] In a possible implementation, before the reporting, the first node has been configured to participate in a C / M plane operation of the mission session. In a possible implementation, each of the one or more nodes including the first node has been configured to participate in the C / M plane operation, so as to provide the mission service. In this way, the pre-condition of reporting of the mission execution status is met, so as to ensure the normal execution of the reporting of the mission execution status.

[0515] In a possible implementation, the reporting is an action of a mission execution status update service provided by the first node, and the action is subscribed by the another node, and the another node provides an A-CAP service. In a possible implementation, the action can have identification information (e.g., an ID of the action) and the execution of the action can be triggered after the first node acquires the ID of the action. The first node is designed to perform the action including the reporting, so as to improve the efficiency of the reporting of the mission execution status and realize the reporting of the mission execution status.

[0516] With respect to the action of the mission execution status update service, its NCDL can include the following: a name of the action: mission execution status update / report; a pre-condition of the action: the first node has been configured to participate in a C / M plane operation of the mission  session; a post-condition of the action: the execution status of the operation is reported to the another node; one or more parameters related to the action: output parameters such as information about whether the operation is  failed or successful, the information for identifying the mission session, the information for identifying the operation, the reason of the failure for the operation when the operation is failed.

[0517] The following will describe an example NCDL of the action of mission execution status update service provided by the first node, and a case where the first node is the CM is shown in this example.

[0518] Name of the action: mission execution status update / report.

[0519] Purpose of the action: this action is for a CM (which is a specific example of first node mentioned above) to report execution status of an operation in a mission session to a A-CAP (which is a specific example of another node mentioned above) . In a case where the operation is failed, the execution status including abnormal status, such as, no app layer acknowledgement received after a NCDL is sent to next NC for certain time interval, the parameters are not complete in the received NCDL, or parameters in the NCDL is not aligned with the definition of this NCDL, or some reason with the NC itself. Note that a NC can be configured to send a NCDL to next NC and should receive app layer acknowledgement for the next NC.

[0520] Pre-condition of the action: the CM has been configured to participate in a C / M plane mission session operation. However some abnormal situation may happen.

[0521] Post-condition of the action: the execution status of the operation is reported to the A-CAP.

[0522] Table 9 shows parameters related to the NCDL of the action of mission execution status update. Table 9

[0523] The shown parameters represent different capability dimensions for the action of mission execution status update, the capability dimensions can include output dimensions, in which the output dimensions are used to indicate output of the action. Definition of capability dimensions are as follows: -Mission session ID (which is a specific example of information for identifying the mission session mentioned  above) : ID of the mission session to which the report is related. -Operation ID (which is a specific example of information for identifying the operation mentioned above) : ID of  operation to which an abnormal event is detected. -Execution status of the operation: either successful or failed. For a successful execution, all other dimensions for  the reason of the failure are NA. -No acknowledgment received from next NC: is set where there is no acknowledgement received from sending a  NCDL to next NC after a pre-defined time interval. By default design, after any NDCL from a NC, the called NC should send back an acknowledgement message for ensuring message transmission reliability purpose only. -Input parameters not complete: the parameters are not complete in the received NCDL. -Input parameters not match the called NCDL: Input parameters in the NCDL is not aligned with the definition of  this NCDL -Action cannot be executed due other local reason: a NC cannot execute the action due to its local (itself) reason.  For example, the local cache didn’ t cache required information.

[0524] The use of this NCDL: -This NCDL may be subscribed by the A-CAP such that the A-CAP can re-configure the mission session and create  a local record for performance evaluation by CONET. -This NCDL is activated either after execution of a mission session or only if an abnormal event has been detected.

[0525] It should be noted although the case where the NC is the CM is illustrated in the above example, the solutions are also applicable for the case where the NC is other service in the C / M layer, Service layer or infrastructure layer.
