Abstract

The present invention relates to a device for selecting writing and drawing implements, which allows a drawer to have different writing and drawing implements immediately available without needing to search for them, preventing same from being misplaced. The device of the invention comprises a structure in the form of an elliptical band for the hand, which has two holes located at the opposite ends of the underside of the structure. This design allows the device for selecting writing and drawing implements to be placed on the left or right hand, from the level of the knuckles to the wrist. The device of the invention uses rotary mechanisms to select different pencils, in addition to magnetic elements that enable the pencils to be easily and rapidly attached and detached.

[0003] The present invention relates to the technical field of mechanics, industrial design and more specifically to the technology of devices for organizing and selecting writing, drawing and painting tools, since it provides a device for selecting writing and drawing tools.

[0004] BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0005] Devices for selecting and organizing writing and drawing tools have evolved considerably over the years, reflecting advances in both industrial design and mechanical engineering. Traditionally, artists and creative professionals have used simple cases, clipboards, and trays to keep their tools organized. These methods, while functional, have limitations in terms of accessibility and ergonomics. The need for more efficient solutions led to the development of specialized devices that offer better organization and ease of use.

These devices included adjustable compartments and basic mechanisms for arranging pencils, pens, and brushes. With the arrival of the 21st century, the integration of industrial design principles and advanced mechanics allowed for the creation of more complex and functional tool organizers. These devices began to incorporate rotating and sliding systems, allowing users easy access to their writing and drawing tools. Furthermore, greater attention was paid to ergonomics, designing products that reduced fatigue and improved comfort during extended use.

[0009] A prior art search was conducted for a device for selecting writing and drawing tools, which yielded United States patent application number US5625606 (A), published on April 29, 1997, entitled "WRISTWATCH AND STRAP ENCLOSING A REMOVABLE PEN AND / OR PROBE AND ALARMING THEIR REMOVAL AFTER A PRESET INTERVAL," which describes an improved case, strap, or bracelet worn on the wrist, containing in separate cavities (i) a watch, calculator, telephone, radio, or similar device that, among other functions, keeps time, and (ii) a writing, probing, and / or signaling instrument. The case preferably houses a watch in its first cavity.Both (i) a double-ended instrument having a pen suitable for writing at one end and a probe suitable for activating push-button switches at the other end, and (ii) an electrical switch, are preferably housed in a second cavity shaped like an elongated hole. Removal or insertion of the instrument from the hole is detected by the switch and electrically communicated to the watch to initiate a countdown timer. The countdown timer interval is preferably preset. A user of the improved case will be alerted, after the expiration of a preset time interval following any removal of the instrument, by an alarm to return the instrument to its cavity within the case, thereby helping to prevent loss of the instrument.

[0011] As can be seen in the aforementioned documents, they do not describe a device that, using rotating mechanisms, allows the selection of various pencils or colors, in addition to using magnetic elements that allow the assembly and disassembly of the pencils or colors in a simple and quick way.

[0014] The present invention aims to provide a device for selecting writing and drawing tools, which solves the aforementioned problems, allowing a draftsman to have various writing and drawing tools at his disposal, for example, pencils or colored pencils, thus enabling the completion of professional work without having to search for them, eliminating the risk of losing or dropping said writing and drawing tools, which would delay the work to be done. Another object of the present invention is to provide a device for selecting writing and drawing tools, which has a structure (1) in the form of a half-elliptical band for the hand, which is configured to be placed on the hand preferably from the height of the knuckles towards the wrist.

[0036] With reference to the figures, the device for selecting writing and drawing tools consists of a structure (1) in the form of a half elliptical band for the hand, which is made of fabric or elastic material, and is configured to be placed on the hand preferably from the height of the knuckles towards the wrist.

Claims

CLAIMS 1. A device for selecting writing and drawing tools, characterized in that it comprises: a structure (1) in the form of a half elliptical band for the hand; two holes (2) are located at opposite ends of the lower surface of the structure (1), one at each end; a projection (10) is placed on the outer surface of the structure (1), on the periphery of each hole (2); a base (3) is placed on the upper surface of the structure (1), said base (3) having in its center a bearing (4); a second base called the pencil base (5) which has on its lower face a cavity (11) the size of the bearing (4), this configuration allows the pencil base (5) to be assembled on the bearing (4) of the base (3), in such a way that the pencil base (5) rotates freely according to the needs of the pencil selection;A plurality of support structures (6) are placed on the upper surface of the pencil base (5), which have a rectangular channel shape; at the center of the inner base of the supports (6) is a linear guide (9); a support (7) is assembled inside the linear guide (9) of each support structure (6); and a clamping mechanism (8) is placed on each support (7).

2. The device according to claim 1 characterized in that the structure (1) in the form of a half elliptical band for the hand, which is made of fabric or elastic material, and is configured to be placed on the hand preferably from the height of the knuckles towards the wrist.

The device according to claim 1 characterized in that the holes (2) are aligned symmetrically and in the same direction, ensuring a balanced distribution; both holes (2) are centered on the width of the ring, meaning they are equidistant from the inner and outer edges of the ring; this provides a uniform and balanced location on the structure (1) and are configured to allow the passage of the thumb of both the right and left hand.

4. The device according to claim 1 characterized in that the projections (10) are projected perpendicularly forming a right angle with the lower surface of the structure (1).

5. The device according to claim 1 characterized in that the projections (10) have an inner surface padded with polyurethane or elastomer gel material.

6. The device according to claim 1 characterized in that the base (3) is circular.

7. The device according to claim 1 characterized in that the bearing (4) is raised above the base (3).

8. The device according to claim 1 characterized in that the bearing (4) is of the ball bearing type.

9. The device according to claim 8 characterized in that the bearing (4) is formed by an outer ring and a solid cylindrical body in the center, with a series of balls located in the intermediate space between the outer ring and the cylindrical body.

10. The device according to claim 8 characterized in that the outer ring of the bearing (4) is integrated with the base (3), providing stable and fixed support.

11. The device according to claim 8 characterized in that the cylindrical body in the center of the bearing (4) is configured to move freely, allowing the rotation of components connected to it.

12. The device according to claim 1 characterized in that the second base called the pencil base (5) is circular and of the same dimensions as the base (3).

13. The device according to claim 1 characterized in that the linear guide (9) has an inverted "T" shape.

14. The device according to claim 1 characterized in that the supports (7) have magnetic characteristics and exhibit a horizontal "H" shape.

15. The device according to claim 14 characterized in that the upper section of the supports (7) is larger than the lower section, this configuration gives each support (7) the ability to slide along the linear guides (9) of the support structures (6).

16. The device according to claim 1 characterized in that the clamping mechanisms (8) can be a clamp or band, cylindrical with a flat section.

17. The device according to claim 16 characterized in that the flat section of each clamping mechanism (8) has magnetic properties which allows its position to be secured on each support (7).

18. The device according to claim 1 characterized in that the support structures (6) are removable and can have a variation in channel width, according to the type of writing and drawing tool to be used.
