Abstract

In the present invention, rust (103) on the surface of an iron material (102) is removed by sequentially shifting a laser irradiation position by intervals of at most 1.414 times a beam radius and emitting a pulsed laser beam (101). The laser irradiation position is sequentially shifted to cover the rust (103) on the surface of the iron material (102) with irradiation spots of the pulsed laser beam (101). The rust (103) is red rust, for example.

Claims

1. A method for removing rust from the surface of iron materials by sequentially shifting the laser irradiation position at intervals of 1.414 times or less the beam radius and irradiating the iron material with pulsed laser light.

2. A method for removing iron rust according to claim 1, wherein the laser power of the pulsed laser light is 54 W or more.

3. A method for removing rust from the surface of an iron material by irradiating it with CW laser light under the conditions that PN / r ≥ 1000, where P is the laser power (W), r is the laser scanning speed (m / s), and N is the number of times the same location is irradiated (N).
