Abstract

Systems, apparatus, articles of manufacture, and methods for adaptive post-processing of decoded video based on signaled quality metrics are disclosed. Example apparatus disclosed herein obtain a quality metric from a bitstream, the quality metric associated with encoded video frame data included in the bitstream. Disclosed example apparatus also determine, based on the quality metric, whether to apply a post-processing procedure to a decoded video frame to determine a processed video frame, the decoded video frame obtained from the encoded video frame data. Disclosed example apparatus further output a video based on at least one of the decoded video frame or the processed video frame.
