The vehicle side awning comprises awning fabric (1), a support (2) and a mounting base (3), wherein a rotating base (4) is rotationally connected to the mounting base (3); a first mounting sleeve (401) extends from the rotating base (4); a first extension plate (402) and a third extension plate (404) respectively extend from two sides of the rotating base (4); a second extension plate (403) is provided on the rotating base (4) between the first extension plate (402) and the third extension plate (404); the second extension plate (403) divides the rotating base (4) into two layers; a second mounting sleeve (5) is rotationally connected between the first extension plate (402) and the second extension plate (403); a third mounting sleeve (6) is rotationally connected between the second extension plate (403) and the third extension plate (404); the first mounting sleeve (401) and the second mounting sleeve (5) are located on the same layer; a first support rod (8), a second support rod (9) and a third support rod (10) are respectively mounted on the first mounting sleeve (401), the second mounting sleeve (5) and the third mounting sleeve (6); and the first support rod (8), the second support rod (9), the third support rod (10) and the support (2) are all connected to the awning fabric (1). The problem of a vehicle side awning not being compact and stable enough when folded up is thus solved.
