Communication method and communication apparatus

Abstract

The present application provides a communication method and a communication apparatus. The method comprises: a sending end modulates a signal to be transmitted, so as to obtain M modulated symbols; the sending end performs precoding processing on the M symbols on the basis of M vectors, so as to obtain a precoded signal, wherein the M vectors are in a one-to-one correspondence to the M symbols, that is, the sending end performs precoding processing on the symbols on the basis of the vectors corresponding to the symbols, wherein at least two of the M vectors are associated; and the sending end sends the precoded signal. Vectors of modulated symbols are designed, so that the modulated symbols can be mapped onto a full-band omni-directional antenna, thereby improving the degree of freedom of a space domain and a frequency domain, and thus improving the degree of matching with a multipath channel. In addition, by designing an association relationship between vectors, a sending end can notify a receiving end of some vectors, and the receiving end can determine all vectors on the basis of the some vectors and the association relationship, thereby reducing signaling overhead caused by the sending end notifying the receiving end of all vectors.
