Abstract

The invention relates to the field of endodontic cements. More particularly, the invention relates to an endodontic cement based on tricalcium silicate and dicalcium silicate and hydroxyapatite in nanoparticulate form. This cement has improved properties in terms of biocompatibility, wettability and ability to improve the healing of surrounding bone tissue. Moreover, it is compatible with the incorporation of liposomes loaded with disinfectant; it allows the time-controlled release of this disinfectant, thereby providing effective and reliable antimicrobial activity.
