A system for providing a failsafe display in an electric vehicle, comprising: a vehicle control unit communicatively coupled to a head unit display (118), wherein the vehicle control unit is configured to monitor a plurality of parameters associated with the electric vehicle and transmit them continuously to the head unit display (118) as a plurality of video signals and wherein the head unit display (118) is configured to display the plurality of video signals; an integrated circuit (104) communicatively coupled to a microcontroller unit (102) and the vehicle control unit, wherein the integrated circuit (104) is configured to monitor transmission of the plurality of video signals from the vehicle control unit to the head unit display (118) and transmit the plurality of video signals to the microcontroller unit (102), wherein the integrated circuit (104) is configured to generated an indication when the transmission of the video signals from the vehicle control unit to the head unit display (118) has stopped or corrupted; and the microcontroller unit (102) is communicatively coupled to the head unit display (118) and configured to transmit the plurality of video signals continuously to the head unit display (118) upon receiving the indication from the integrated circuit (104).
