Electrode terminal for energy storage device, and secondary battery and battery module comprising same

Abstract

An electrode terminal, and a secondary battery and a battery module comprising same are disclosed. The electrode terminal comprises: a first flat plate positioned on a first surface of a base plate having a through-hole to cover the through-hole and having a through-opening for discharging gas in the central portion thereof; a connection cylinder extending from the first flat plate to be inserted into the through-hole and having an accommodation cavity communicating with the through-opening therein; a second flat plate disposed on a second surface of the base plate symmetrical to the first surface, connected to the connection cylinder, communicating with the accommodation cavity, and having an inlet hole penetrating to have a smaller size than the accommodation cavity; and a discharge control member attached to the connection cylinder to cover the inlet hole in the accommodation cavity and selectively opening the inlet hole according to a set starting pressure, wherein gas introduced through the inlet hole can be discharged to the outside through the accommodation cavity and the through-opening. Explosion of the secondary battery and the battery module due to high pressure can be prevented.
