Description

[0001] A Stopper Located on the Door Check Arm

[0002] FIELD OF THE INVENTION

[0003] The invention relates to a stopper located on the door check arm used in vehicle doors.

[0004] More particularly, the invention relates to a stopper located on the door check arm made of polymer material, which is connected to the link as an integral part, and is used to perform a stopping function at the maximum opening point of vehicle doors.

[0005] PRIOR ART

[0006] Door check mechanisms used to control the opening and closing movements of vehicle doors are systems that have been known and implemented for a long time. Existing solutions are generally based on connecting rods that allow the door to be fixed at different opening angles. However, in such systems, fixing the door at its maximum opening point is not always achieved with sufficient accuracy and robustness. Although some spring-based and hydraulic solutions exist to prevent the excessive opening of doors, there is a need to develop more compact and durable solutions that have a monolithic link structure with the check arm. In the current technology, it is observed that reliable, long-lasting, and cost-effective versions of such mechanisms applicable in vehicle production are lacking.

[0007] In the current technology, stoppers are generally designed and manufactured separately on the system. This situation creates manufacturing and processing difficulties on the system. Due to design and manufacturing difficulties, it also causes the part to wear and easily detach from the system.

[0008] As a result of research conducted on the subject, an application numbered GB2358673A has been encountered. The application refers to improvements made for use in door check arms. However, the relevant application relates to a stopper located on the door check arm made of polymer material, which is connected to the link as an integral part, and is used to perform a stopping function at the maximum opening point of vehicle doors. As a result, due to the above-mentioned disadvantages and the inadequacy of existing solutions regarding the subject, it has become necessary to make a development in the related technical field.

[0009] AIM OF THE INVENTION

[0010] The invention has been created by taking inspiration from existing conditions and aims to solve the above-mentioned disadvantages.

[0011] The main aim of the invention is to enable the stopping function at the maximum opening point of vehicle doors by means of a stopper made of polymer material, which is integrated with the link as a single piece.

[0012] Another aim of the invention is to ensure the durability of the door check arm having a stopper made of polymer material, which is integrated with the link as a single piece.

[0013] Another aim of the invention is to ensure that the production process of the check arm is easy.

[0014] In order to achieve the aims described above, the invention is a stopper located on the door check arm used in vehicle doors, comprising a stopper made of polymer material for noise reduction, which is located on the surface where the housing contacts the link, and which is integrated with the link as a single piece, in order to perform the stopping function at the maximum opening point of vehicle doors.

[0015] The structural and characteristic features of the invention and all its advantages will be understood more clearly through the detailed description written with reference to the figures given below, and therefore, the evaluation must also be made by taking these figures and the detailed description into consideration.

[0025] DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

[0026] In this detailed description, the preferred embodiments of the stopper (6) located on the door check arm used in vehicle doors, which is the subject of the invention, are explained solely for better understanding of the subject.

[0027] In the current technique, an overmolding process is applied onto the metal link. This brings process-related difficulties. In order to provide ease of processing, the door check arm used in vehicle doors, which is the subject of the invention, is utilized.

[0028] The stopper (6) located on the door check arm used in vehicle doors, which is the subject of the invention, consists of the elements of a bracket (1), a sliding element (2), a link (3), a step (4), a housing (5), and a stopper (6).

[0029] The operating method of the door check arm used in vehicle doors is as follows: the bracket (1) is fixed to the door body through the hole located on it; the housing (5) is fixed to the vehicle body through its mounting holes. The sliding element (2) moves on the link (3) throughout the product’s lifetime as the vehicle door moves. The stopper (6) is the part that limits the movement of the housing (5) on the Y axis. This stopping function occurs at the point where the door reaches its maximum opening position.

[0030] By means of the stopper (6) located on the door check arm used in vehicle doors, the stopping function at the maximum opening point of the vehicle doors is performed via the stopper (6) made of polymer material, which is integrated with the link (3) as a single piece. The stopper (6) is connected to the surface located in the step (4) region of the T-shaped part of the link (3) structure. In an alternative embodiment of the invention, the stopper (6) is made of polyurethane material. The stopper (6) can also be connected to plastic link (3) materials. The connection process can be carried out by printing integrally with a 3D printer. In alternative embodiments of the invention, the connection process can also be carried out by methods such as press-fitting or gluing. After the connection process is completed, the stopper (6) is located on the link (3) part as a single piece. Thus, ease of processing is achieved. In addition, homogeneous distribution of the applied loads provides an advantage. From a processing perspective, the design positioned on the link (3) offers the possibility of manufacturing both parts in a single operation. Technically, since the manufacturing time and the operation involve a single assembly, quality problems are minimized.
