Method for manufacturing transfer foil

Abstract

According to the present disclosure, a transfer foil is efficiently manufactured wherein, when partial decoration having a colored metallic appearance is applied to an object, misalignment of a metallic section and a colored section in a decorated section does not readily occur. In this method, a metal foil 40 of a hot stamping foil is thermally transferred only onto the entirety of a surface on the opposite side from a resin layer 20 side of a colored layer 10 of an intermediate member 1, whereby a metal layer 41 that is positioned on the surface on the opposite side from the resin layer 20 side of the colored layer 10 is produced. A decorative layer 70 having the colored layer 10 and the metal layer 41 is thus produced.
