1.-2. Ankle-foot orthosis

Abstract

The designs represent ankle-foot orthoses characterized by relatively thin surfaces that appear to rest on the skin, giving the impression of surrounding it naturally; the designs feature a double-layered shape, comprising a first surface facing the skin and a second surface that partially surrounds the first, each with distinct outer contours, thereby providing a dynamic overall appearance; rear, bottom and top view are derivable from submitted views; dashed lines indicate optional or environmental features which do not limit the scope of protection, e.g. the foot, the mounting band and the sole part; figs. 1.4, 2.6-2.7 show the orthoses in use.
