Ramp

Abstract

A ramp 1000, e.g. bridge ramp for use with a door frame, comprises a handle 100 and a ramp panel 1010a having an edge 1020a. The handle includes a grip portion (120,121, figure 1) to be gripped by a user, and a protection portion (130, figure 1). The protection portion is positioned around at least a portion of the edge of the ramp panel. The handle may include two body portions (111,112, figure 1) that define a slot therebetween for receipt of the ramp panel. The handle may be formed as a unitary piece having a notch (115, figure 2) to facilitate bending of the handle between a folded and unfolded configuration, or as two separate pieces joined together by complimentary fastening protrusions and recesses (116,117, figure 3). The handle is ideally located in a recessed portion 1040 of the ramp panel so that the protection portion, which is ideally resilient, may prevent the ramp panel from scratching a doorway in which the ramp is used.
