Abstract

A wall element 100 comprises at least two uprights 2, two beams 4, where the uprights and beams are connected to each other in a frame 3, with the uprights parallel to each other in a first direction and the beams parallel to each other in a second direction perpendicular thereto; where the uprights and the beams are formed from an upright profile and beam profile respectively, where the opening between the flanges of the respective profile is always facing the interior of the frame where in the respective profile of at least one of the uprights and beams an acoustic resonator 10;20 of the Helmholtz type is provided, where the acoustic resonator comprises a body with a cavity 13 and is provided with at least one opening 15 in the cavity towards the vicinity of the acoustic resonator.
