Probe for Single Cell Ribosome Imaging and Tracking

Abstract

A B S T R A C T This invention pertains in general to ribosome imaging, in particular ribosome imaging in live cells. In particular, the invention relates to a compound (probe) that selectively binds with eukaryotic ribosomes, such as human ribosomes. Also provided is for a method of preparing the compound and for a method for detecting a eukaryotic, preferably human, 608 ribosomal subunit or ribosome using the compound.
