Abstract
The present utility model relates to a compound moringa substrate suitable for mushroom production. The substrate comprises 9–14 parts by weight of moringa leaf stalk, 60–70 parts by weight of rice straw, 19–24 parts by weight of sawdust, and 1–2 parts by weight of molasses. An exact composition consisting of 10% moringa leaf stalk powder, 70% rice straw, 19% sawdust, and 1% molasses has been found to enhance growth parameters of white oyster mushroom, including days to spawn running, pinhead formation, fruit body formation, and yield characteristics.
