Mechanism for a Braille display

Abstract

The subject of the application is a mechanism for a Braille display in which ferromagnetic pins (3) are held in a matrix (2) by the action of permanent magnets (5) placed beneath them. The mechanism includes a movable slider (4), the movement of which causes the pins (3) to extend above the matrix surface (2), while the pins return to their retracted position automatically under the influence of magnetic attraction. The solution ensures stable retention of the pins in the matrix regardless of the device's orientation, and their cylindrical shape with rounded ends enables easy replacement without the need to disassemble the mechanism.
