Description
/ 6 “CONSTRUCTIVE ARRANGEMENT APPLIED IN A MONITORING UNIT”. TECHNICAL FIELD
[001] This utility model patent application belongs to the security, infrastructure and technology segments, specifically, it concerns a monitoring unit developed to carry out surveillance of establishments, public places, parking lots, industrial sectors, access areas, private security, among others, consisting of a carbon steel pole, designed to resist acts of vandalism. This pole houses several high-resolution cameras, meeting different types of application needs. The camera array is integrated with artificial intelligence and has a signaling lamp, providing greater security and peace of mind to the environment through the collaborative monitoring unit. HISTORY OF THE TECHNIQUE
[002] With the growth of cities during the accelerated urbanization of the 19th and 20th centuries, densely populated areas faced an increase in crime rates such as robberies, assaults, and vandalism.
[003] Traditional surveillance, based on police or security patrols, is limited in terms of reach, cost, and efficiency. This creates a need for equipment that allows for the constant monitoring of large areas with fewer human resources.
[004] During World War II and the beginning of the Cold War, there was a growing concern about protecting strategic installations, such as factories, power plants, and public places. Pole-mounted cameras began to be used to monitor areas of military interest and critical infrastructure against sabotage. Petition 870250046332, dated 04 / 06 / 2025, page 5 / 12 / 6
[005] The growth of large shopping centers and department stores in the 20th century brought the need to monitor busy locations to prevent theft and protect customers.
[006] In the 1990s and 2000s, terrorist attacks in major cities (such as the 1995 Tokyo subway attack and the September 11, 2001 attacks in the US) led to the expansion of urban surveillance systems.
[007] Due to the increased perception of insecurity in urban areas, citizens and governments have sought technological solutions to improve security in public and private places. State of the Art Analysis
[008] Research conducted in specialized databases revealed documents relating to surveillance poles, such as document no. US2006120714A1, which deals with a “TEMPORARY SURVEILLANCE SYSTEM.” A surveillance system is provided including a platform having a plurality and variety of cameras or sensors mounted on it, and a base cabinet adapted to accommodate a power supply, a variety of electronics, and other equipment to control and power the surveillance equipment. The base is constructed to be tamper-resistant and immovable by manual means. A substantially hollow support pole includes a lower portion mounted detachably to the base, and an upper portion mounted to the platform. Wires and cables to connect the surveillance equipment with the electronics and the power supply are passed through the support pole. The system can be powered by existing energy sources, for example, a 120 V power source.
[009] Document No. US2013163976A1 concerning a “SURVEILLANCE POST WITH EMBEDDED CAMERA”, a surveillance post includes a surveillance camera mounted in such a way that the camera does not project fully beyond the camera support post to minimize its visibility. Optionally, a camera mounting head is positioned over the camera support post and the camera is Petition 870250046332, dated 04 / 06 / 2025, page 6 / 12 / 6 mounted on the camera mounting head. Preferably, the camera support pole and camera mounting head are generally cylindrical, and the camera is positioned in such a way that it does not extend completely beyond the cylinder of the camera support pole. The surveillance camera is a low-profile unit whose depth is less than its height. The camera mounting head includes a niche in which the camera is positioned and mounted to minimize the camera's appearance. Optionally, the surveillance pole is mounted on a trailer that includes a chassis with wheels.
[010] Document No. GB2416084A concerning a “MOBILE SURVEILLANCE SYSTEM”, a mobile surveillance system comprises: a camera system 1 having a camera 3, preferably having a removable lens 15, and an audio system 5 for capturing images and sound; a communication device 7 for receiving, and preferably transmitting, communications to / from a control center and / or other devices; and means 9, preferably a wireless remote video recorder, for compiling a synchronized record of visual and audio events. A light source 33 may be provided, preferably infrared, illuminating subjects recorded by the camera, preferably infrared sensitive. The camera system housing 17 may have a front section 19, housing the camera 3, pivotally attached to a rear section 21 which may be attached to an object.Preferably, audio system 5 has attenuation means comprising a first input receiving sound from a target and background noise, and a second input receiving background noise, which is inverted and then mixed with sound from the first input providing noise reduction. Preferably, a switch is provided which, once activated, prevents the user from disabling the system or, alternatively, only the camera can be switched on or off.
[011] Although the documents presented fall within the areas of activity and perform similar activities, they still do not encompass the functions of the proposed model. This is because the models marketed do not have a metal structure with anti-vandalism properties. Furthermore, in some cases, they do not have visual or audible alerts, which contributes to the deterrence of crime in Petition 870250046332, dated 04 / 06 / 2025, page 7 / 12 / 6 occurrence. More robust vandal-resistant models require more installation space, making the equipment unsuitable for certain applications.
[012] Thus, it is a fact that the documents cited in the paragraphs above, despite belonging to the same field of application, do not present any of the characteristics of the object now improved, thus guaranteeing that it meets the legal requirements for patentability. BRIEF DESCRIPTION
[013] Taking into account all the problems that have been presented in the state of the art, the inventor, who has notorious knowledge about the sector, created and developed the aforementioned “CONSTRUCTIVE ARRANGEMENT APPLIED IN MONITORING UNIT”, which aims to carry out the monitoring and protection of the population in places of common use, as well as in areas of restricted or private use.
