Watch case including an operating lock

Abstract

The invention relates to a watch case (1) comprising at least one compartment (4) for receiving a watch (6), comprising on its periphery a latch (10) for actuating a function of said watch, and a mechanical actuating device (22) for said latch (10) arranged to automatically actuate the latch (10) to perform said function when the watch (6) is in place in its compartment (4), and control means for said actuating device (22) arranged to activate said actuating device (22). The actuating device (22) comprises a drive member (28) having a contact surface (30) arranged to exert contact pressure on the latch (10) by elastically deforming and to have relative movement with respect to the latch (10).The drive element (28) is activated by the control means of the actuation device (22) when the watch's lock (10) (6) needs to be operated. The contact surface (30) is made of a material having a coefficient of adhesion relative to the material of the lock (10) such that the contact surface (30) of the drive element (28), through its relative movement, is capable of moving the lock (10) by friction drive, thus allowing the lock (10) to complete its travel to perform its function.
