Abstract

Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a soft start circuit for a DC-DC converter. The soft start circuit includes a first slope detection circuit, a subtractor, and a slope control circuit. The first slope detection circuit is configured to detect a slope of an output voltage of the DC-DC converter to generate a first slope indication voltage. The first slope indication voltage indicates the slope of the output voltage. The subtractor is configured to subtract a second slope indication voltage from the first slope indication voltage to generate a slope error indication voltage. The second slope indication voltage indicates a target slope. The slope control circuit is configured to generate a soft start signal according to the slope error indication voltage. A slope of the soft start signal is positively correlated with the slope error indication voltage. The DC-DC converter controls the output voltage to rise according to the soft start signal in a soft start phase such that the slope of the output voltage equals the target slope.
