AI Technical Summary

Technical Problem

The existing extensible housing structure has limitations in space expansion in slide-out RV, resulting in insufficient living space.

Method used

By improving the slide-out mechanism, an expandable structure including a main structure, a first expansion portion extending from the main structure in a certain direction, a side wall formed by a plurality of wall panels, and a connecting rod mechanism system is designed. The connecting rod mechanism system includes a gear system and a connecting rod mechanism through which the wall panels are interconnected and coordinated movement during retraction and expansion.

Benefits of technology

It realizes more effective space utilization, enhances the functionality of the slide-out structure, provides end users with a wider and more comfortable environment, and improves the overall level of RV design.

Abstract

A collapsible wall structure includes three main components, namely two linkage systems and four wall panels. A linkage system is smartly positioned at the upper and lower ends of each wall panel. The connecting rod mechanism system is elaborately designed, and is characterized by a gear set and a connecting rod mechanism bar which work cooperatively to ensure seamless functionality. A hydraulic assembly may be used for advancement of the first link and subsequent rotation of the initial wall panel. During rotation of the wallboards, due to their linkage connections, the interconnected gear sets of the linkage system are aligned in unison substantially parallel to the main bracket. The direct coupling between the gear and the panel ensures synchronous rotation therebetween. The gear set of the linkage system ensures synchronous rotation of the gears. This coordinated rotation is further converted into simultaneous rotation of adjacent wall panels.
