Abstract

This invention provides a method, apparatus, product, and application for preparing calcium silicate particles. The method for preparing calcium silicate particles includes thermally dissolving calcium silicate sludge to obtain a thermally dissolved system. After thermal dissolution, the calcium silicate sludge provides calcium ions and hydroxide ions in the thermally dissolved system. A silicon source and an alkaline solution are then added to the thermally dissolved system to obtain a dissolved system. In the dissolved system, the calcium silicate sludge and silicon source provide silicate ions. When the pH of the thermally dissolved system is <12, an additional alkaline solution is added to maintain the pH ≥12. Finally, the dissolved system and the chitosan-ethanol system undergo a collisional coating reaction to obtain calcium silicate particles. This method utilizes high-temperature, high-pressure hydrothermal dissolution of calcium silicate sludge, followed by explosive homogeneous nucleation triggered by instantaneous collisions with a chitosan suspension in a collisional flow reactor. The chitosan coating inhibits crystal nucleus growth and reduces sodium ion re-adsorption at surface active sites, thereby synergistically achieving the preparation of modified calcium silicate particles with small particle size, high purity, and low impurities.
