A method and system for automatically updating passwords

Abstract

The application provides a method and system for automatically updating passwords, comprising: determining the device identification and account name that need to modify the password; generating a random password according to a preset password generation method; constructing an instruction package containing the device identification, account name and random password; encoding the instruction package into a graphic code; scanning the graphic code through a mobile terminal and performing an update password authority authentication, and decoding the instruction package in the graphic code after the authentication; obtaining the target device network address corresponding to the device identification in the instruction package; sending the instruction package to the device software probe corresponding to the target device network address through an encryption channel; verifying the mobile terminal and the instruction package; calling the update password command to modify the password of the target device, and sending the modification result to the operation and maintenance audit gateway through the device software probe and the encryption channel; and generating an audit record according to the modification result by the operation and maintenance audit gateway. The scheme realizes significant improvement in efficiency, security, compliance and operation and maintenance cost.
