Method, device and display device for optimizing color of display picture

Abstract

The application provides a color optimization method and device for a display picture and a display device. The color optimization method comprises: obtaining index values and mapping values of all nodes in a preset three-dimensional color lookup table; determining target nodes that need to be adjusted in mapping values in the three-dimensional color lookup table according to original color values of an adjusted color specified by a user, the number of the target nodes being less than the total number of nodes in the three-dimensional color lookup table; adjusting the mapping values of each target node to target mapping values according to target color values of the adjusted color specified by the user; updating the three-dimensional color lookup table according to the adjusted mapping values of the target nodes; and performing color optimization on the display picture by using the updated three-dimensional color lookup table. The application can locally adjust a color gamut according to user preferences or user habits, ensures the accuracy of overall color gamut mapping, avoids problems such as color imbalance caused by an excessively large adjustment range, and has better visual performance and lower cost.
