This invention relates to APRIL and BAFF inhibitory immunomodulatory proteins and methods of using them, specifically providing immunomodulatory proteins exhibiting neutralizing activity against BAFF and APRIL (or BAFF / APRIL heterotrimers). The immunomodulatory proteins provided herein include variant domains of transmembrane activators and CAML interactors (TACI). The provided immunomodulatory proteins include TACI-Fc fusion proteins.
