Abstract

This invention discloses an outdoor unit for an air conditioner, comprising: a liquid-side piping in which refrigerant flows in liquid form; a gas-side piping in which refrigerant flows in gas form; and an electrical box containing multiple electronic components that generate a heat source during operation. The electrical box includes: a liquid-cooling module comprising: a first flow guide pipe configured to fluidly connect to the liquid-side piping; a second flow guide pipe configured to fluidly connect to the gas-side piping; and a microchannel unit configured to fluidly connect the first and second flow guide pipes. The refrigerant in the liquid-side piping flows into the liquid-cooling module from the first flow guide pipe, passes through the microchannel unit, and then flows out to the gas-side piping from the second flow guide pipe. During ultra-high temperature cooling or ultra-high temperature hot water production, the heat source is under high load and high power density, resulting in high heat generation. The refrigerant undergoes a phase change within the microchannel unit, transforming from a liquid to a gaseous state, significantly enhancing heat exchange capacity.
