Abstract

This invention discloses an antibody targeting CGRP and its applications. The antibody or its antigen-binding portion comprises a heavy chain variable region and a light chain variable region. The heavy chain variable region comprises CDR-H1, CDR-H2, and CDR-H3, and the light chain variable region comprises CDR-L1, CDR-L2, and CDR-L3. This antibody can specifically bind to human and rat CGRP peptides and α / β subtype CGRP peptides with high affinity, blocking the binding of CGRP to its receptor CGRPR, reducing pain perception, and achieving the treatment of pain disorders such as migraines caused by CGRP. Furthermore, it can also relieve or treat hot flashes.
