Remote priority flow control method and switch chip
By introducing a buffer scheduler and pipeline engine into the switching chip, PFC pause messages that directly reach the source device are generated, solving the network performance problems caused by the traditional PFC backpressure mechanism and realizing efficient remote priority flow control.

Abstract
The application provides a remote priority flow control method and a switching chip. After an entry pipeline engine finds a routing exit, a buffer scheduler detects a congestion state of a queue corresponding to the exit in real time. Once a back pressure condition is triggered, a hardware copies a packet and sends the packet to an exit pipeline engine. The exit pipeline engine directly generates a PFC pause packet of a direct source device based on the copy. In this way, the whole process does not need CPU intervention and does not depend on external flow table matching. All actions are completed in the chip pipeline, which avoids high delay and system burden caused by software processing and eliminates hardware overhead caused by a complex flow table.
