Abstract

The present invention relates to a device (10) for projecting a real or virtual image (VB) in which stray light (SL) suppression is implemented. The device (10) comprises a display device (11) and a transparent element (23) arranged at a distance from a projected image (VB, VB'). The transparent element (23) has a first structure (2300) on a top surface (230) for diffuse reflection of incident stray light (SL). The transparent element (23) also has one or more further structures (2310) which are configured to work together to compensate for the influence of the first structure (2300) on the image light (BL1) emitted by the display device (11).
