This simplifies the assembly of the instrument, especially for laypeople, and maintains consistent sound quality. Solution to the task:
[0004] This task is solved by a device consisting of a clamp (1) that can be slipped onto the mouthpiece and which can be securely fixed thanks to its conical shape and a circumferential bulge on the lower edge. A vertically adjustable slider (2) is integrated into the clamp. The slider is adjusted using a rotating spiral nut (3) (guided by a fixed threaded rod (4)), which allows precise movement up or down. The clarinet reed (5) is moved by the slider against the tip of the mouthpiece until it has reached the optimal position. The ligature can then be tightened and the reed permanently attached. Once fixed, the device is removed. The selected position can be reproduced at any time after cleaning or disassembling the clarinet. [1] Device for positioning and fixing a clarinet or saxophone reed on the mouthpiece of the wind instrument, characterized by • a guide element to be inserted onto the mouthpiece above the cork ring surface (clarinet) or metal tube (saxophone) to be inserted into the instrument • a slide guided in the guide element, the contact surface of which is designed to receive the lower edge of the leaflet, • an adjusting element, preferably in the form of a rotary wheel, which is connected to the slide and allows a precise longitudinal displacement of the reed relative to the path of the mouthpiece, • wherein, after setting the desired reed position, the guide element can be removed from the mouthpiece without changing the set position.
