Abstract

Adaptive light display comprising: • a frame with a rear support structure, • a matrix of display cells, each display cell having at least two light-emitting diodes (LEDs) arranged at different predetermined beam angles relative to the display plane, • a textile cover layer stretched over the matrix and having light-directing properties such that light striking the textile cover layer at different angles of incidence is transmitted, reflected and / or scattered to varying degrees, • a control unit configured to control the LEDs of each display cell individually and independently, so that visually perceptible, dynamic brightness, color and / or direction patterns are generated on the surface of the textile cover layer by selectively activating the LEDs at different beam angles.
