Abstract
A system for adaptive electrical load balancing and phase balancing in a multi-node power grid, the system comprising: a plurality of electrical nodes interconnected via a multi-phase power distribution network, each electrical node comprising a sensor unit configured to measure electrical parameters such as phase voltage, phase current, phase angle, and power factor; an analog-to-digital converter unit coupled to the sensor unit and configured to convert measured electrical parameters into digital signals; a processing unit operationally coupled to the analog-to-digital converter unit and configured to determine the load distribution characteristics and phase imbalance states across the plurality of electrical nodes;a switching unit with a plurality of controllable switching elements arranged such that electrical loads can be selectively connected to different phases and nodes; and a communication unit configured to send and receive data between the numerous electrical nodes and at least one processing unit, the processing unit being configured to generate control signals based on the determined load distribution characteristics and phase imbalance conditions to actuate the switching unit to redistribute electrical loads across phases and nodes in order to achieve a balanced phase load.
