Abstract
Description
[0001] The invention relates to a door closing system for opening and closing a door lock of a door according to the preamble of claim 1.
[0002] A door locking system typically comprises an interior handle unit with an interior handle and an exterior handle unit with an exterior handle. The handles are positioned on both sides of the door and are connected to each other via a spindle to prevent rotation. The spindle is effectively connected to a door lock, so that pivoting one of the handles opens the closed door lock.
[0003] In addition to the door locking system, a locking system can also be mounted on the door. This locking system can lock or unlock the door independently of the door locking system. A door with a door locking system and an additional locking system is known, for example, from EP 2 182 144 A1. Such additional locking systems are usually installed below the door locking system and require additional installation space.
[0004] Door locking systems with an integrated locking mechanism are also known from the subsequently published document EP 3 859 102 A1 and US 3 193 315 A. This door locking system comprises a polygonal spindle with two interconnected and disconnectable sub-pins. When the sub-pins are interconnected, the door lock can be opened with the outside handle. When the sub-pins are disconnected, the door lock cannot be opened with the outside handle. Such door locking systems are often very complex. In EP 3 859 102 A1, disconnectable sub-pins are connected and disconnected by means of an additional connecting pin. In US 3 193 315 A, the two sub-pins are directly connected and disconnected.
[0005] The object of the invention is therefore to provide an improved or at least alternative embodiment for a door closing system of the generic type, in which the described disadvantages are overcome.
[0006] This problem is solved according to the invention by the subject matter of independent claim 1. Advantageous embodiments are the subject matter of the dependent claims.
[0007] The door locking system is designed for opening and closing a door lock. The system comprises an interior handle unit with an interior handle pivoting around a pivot axis and an exterior handle unit with an exterior handle pivoting around a pivot axis. The system also includes an axially aligned polygonal spindle with an interior spindle, an exterior spindle, and a coupling spindle. The terms "axial" and "radial" refer here and subsequently to the pivot axis. The interior spindle is rotationally fixed to the interior handle, and the exterior spindle is also rotationally fixed to the exterior handle. The coupling spindle is axially displaceable within both the exterior and interior spindles. The polygonal spindle can be adjusted from a coupled position to a disengaged position and back again by axially displacing the coupling spindle. The outer and inner pins are connected to each other via the coupling pin, preventing rotation in the coupled position and allowing rotation in the uncoupled position. The door locking system includes an unlocking unit. In the uncoupled position of the polygonal pin, the unlocking unit prevents axial movement of the coupling pin and prevents the polygonal pin from moving from the uncoupled to the coupled position. However, when the inner handle is pivoted around its pivot axis, the unlocking unit releases the coupling pin, allowing axial movement and movement from the uncoupled to the coupled position.
[0008] The door locking system is designed to open and close the door lock. Operating the door lock—that is, opening or closing it—can be achieved by pivoting the spindle. The inner pin of the spindle can be permanently and rotationally locked to the door lock, so that pivoting the inside handle always causes the inner pin to pivot and thus always activates the door lock. In the coupled position of the spindle, the outer pin is rotationally locked to the inner pin via the coupling pin, so that pivoting the outside handle causes the outer pin to pivot and, consequently, the inner pin to pivot. Pivoting the inner pin then activates the door lock.In the disengaged position, the outer pin is rotatably coupled to the inner pin via the coupling pin, so that pivoting the outer handle causes the outer pin to pivot, but not the inner pin. Consequently, the door lock cannot be operated.
[0009] When the polygonal pin is in the decoupling position, the unlocking unit prevents the polygonal pin from being unintentionally moved from the decoupling position to the coupling position. This ensures that the polygonal pin is securely fixed in the decoupling position and prevents the door lock from being unintentionally operated via the outside handle. Therefore, the door locking system according to the invention allows the door lock to be opened and closed safely and easily. Furthermore, the door locking system according to the invention has a simplified design.
[0010] According to the invention, an axial annular gap is formed between the inner or outer pin and the coupling pin in the decoupling position of the polygonal pin. The unlocking unit then comprises a pivotable barrier which, in the decoupling position of the polygonal pin, is arranged at least partially within the axial annular gap and is led out of the axial annular gap when the inner handle is pivoted. In the decoupling position of the polygonal pin, the outer and inner pins are rotatably coupled to each other via the coupling pin, and the barrier is arranged in the axial annular gap. The coupling pin cannot therefore move axially, and the outer and inner pins remain rotatably coupled to each other. However, if the barrier is led out of the axial annular gap, the coupling pin can be moved axially, and the outer pin can be connected to the inner pin in a rotationally fixed manner. The barrier can advantageously be pivotably attached to the inner or outer handle unit. The barrier is expediently pivotable towards the inner handle or pin and towards the outer handle or pin on the inner or outer handle unit. The barrier can advantageously have an engagement lug that engages into or extends out of the axial annular gap.
[0011] Additionally, the unlocking unit may be provided with a radially acting locking spring, preferably a coil spring. The locking spring presses the barrier radially inwards. If the barrier has an engagement lug, this lug may be pressed radially inwards into the axial annular gap. The locking spring automatically positions the barrier within the annular gap as soon as it is formed, preventing the barrier from unintentionally exiting the annular gap or from protruding incompletely into it. The locking spring ensures that the polygonal pin automatically moves into the disengaged position when the coupling pin is moved axially and is securely fixed in this position.
[0012] Advantageously, the unlocking unit can include a stop element. This stop element can be located on either the inner or outer handle unit. The stop element prevents the barrier from pivoting with the inner handle, ensuring that when the inner handle is pivoted, the barrier is moved relative to the inner pin and removed from the axial annular gap. In other words, the stop element prevents the barrier from rotating relative to a non-pivoting part of the inner handle unit and / or relative to a non-pivoting part of the outer handle unit. If the inner handle is pivoted relative to the non-pivoting part of the inner or outer handle unit, and thus relative to the barrier, the barrier changes its relative position to the inner pin and is removed from the axial annular gap.
[0013] In a preferred embodiment, the unlocking unit can comprise a rotary disc that pivots against a spring tension and an external unlocking element. The stop element can be formed on the rotary disc, and the rotary disc can be arranged on or pivotably attached to the inner or outer handle unit. The rotary disc can then be pivoted against the spring tension via the unlocking element, thereby allowing the barrier to be moved out of the annular gap. The external unlocking element can be actuated from the outside on the outer handle side. Advantageously, the rotary disc can be pivoted via the external unlocking element in such a way that the barrier can be pivoted and moved out of the axial annular gap. For this purpose, a guide lug can be formed on the barrier, which interacts with the stop element. The unlocking element allows the door lock to be opened from the outside handle – for example, if someone has locked themselves in from the inside handle. The unlocking element can be conveniently positioned on the outside handle side, accessible with a tool, but not reachable by hand.
[0014] In an advantageous embodiment, the unlocking unit may include a reset unit for returning the polygonal pin from the uncoupling position to the coupling position. When the inner handle pivots about the pivot axis, the reset unit moves the polygonal pin from the uncoupling position to the coupling position. For this purpose, the reset unit may include a return spring, preferably a helical spring. The return spring can press the coupling pin axially towards the inner pin, so that when the inner handle pivots about the pivot axis, the return spring moves the coupling pin axially into the inner pin. If the unlocking unit has the barrier described above, the barrier is guided out of the axial annular gap when the inner handle pivots, and the coupling pin can move axially into the inner pin under spring pressure. The reset unit allows the coupling pin to be moved into the inner pin under spring tension, so that the polygonal pin can be automatically adjusted from the decoupling position to the coupling position when the inner handle is pivoted.
[0015] Advantageously, the coupling pin can have a polygonal section and a rotary section, the rotary section being axially adjacent to the polygonal section and facing the inner pin. An outer contour of the polygonal section can be rotationally connected to an inner contour of the outer pin and to an outer contour of the inner pin. An outer contour of the rotary section can be rotatably connected to the inner contour of the inner pin. In the coupling position and in the decoupling position of the polygonal pin, the polygonal section of the coupling pin can be received, at least partially, in the outer pin, so that the coupling pin and the outer pin are rotationally coupled. In the coupling position of the polygonal pin, the polygonal section of the coupling pin can be received, at least partially, in the inner pin, so that the coupling pin and also the outer pin are rotationally coupled to the inner pin.In the decoupling position of the polygonal pin, the rotating section of the coupling pin can be at least partially accommodated within the inner pin, so that the coupling pin and also the outer pin are rotatably coupled to the inner pin. If the coupling pin is moved axially within the inner pin, the inner pin and the outer pin can be rotatably or rotationally fixedly coupled to each other, thereby moving the polygonal pin into the decoupling position or into the coupling position.
[0016] Due to its design, the polygonal pin is moved from the decoupling position to the coupling position when the coupling pin is inserted into the inner pin. Conversely, when the coupling pin is pushed out of the inner pin, the polygonal pin is moved from the coupling position to the decoupling position. This can create an axial annular gap between the coupling pin and the inner or outer pin, into which the barrier of the unlocking unit, as described above, engages. The insertion motion is from the outer handle to the inner handle, and the removal motion is from the inner handle to the outer handle.
[0017] Additionally, the pivoting section of the coupling pin can be guided axially outwards through the inner handle. The polygonal pin can then be manually adjusted from the coupling position to the decoupling position by axially moving the coupling pin from the outside. In other words, the coupling pin can extend outwards from the inner handle and be accessible from the outside. This allows the coupling pin to be moved manually from the outside, thereby adjusting the polygonal pin from the coupling position to the decoupling position. As discussed above, adjusting the polygonal pin from the decoupling position to the coupling position can be achieved by pivoting the inner handle.
[0018] Further important features and advantages of the invention will become apparent from the dependent claims, the drawings and the associated description of the figures based on the drawings.
[0019] It is understood that the features mentioned above and those to be explained below can be used not only in the combination specified, but also in other combinations or on their own, without leaving the scope of the present invention.
[0020] Preferred embodiments of the invention are shown in the drawings and are explained in more detail in the following description, wherein identical reference numerals refer to identical or similar or functionally identical components.
[0021] They show, schematically, each one Fig. 1 a view of a door locking system according to the invention, wherein a polygonal pin is in a coupling position; Fig. 2 a view of the door locking system according to the invention, wherein the polygonal pin is in a decoupling position; Fig. 3 an exploded view of an arrangement consisting of the polygonal pin and an unlocking unit; Figs. 4 and 5 a partial sectional view and a view of the arrangement consisting of Fig. 3 , wherein a barrier of the unlocking unit fixes the polygonal pin in the decoupling position; Figs. 6 and 7 show a view and a top view of the arrangement. Fig. 3 , wherein the barrier of the unlocking unit releases the polygonal pin for adjustment; Fig. 10 a view of the door locking system according to the invention with an unlocking element; Fig. 11 a view of a rotary disc of the door locking system.
[0022] Fig. 1 und Fig. 2 Figure 1 shows views of a door locking system 1 according to the invention. The door locking system 1 comprises an inner handle unit 2a with an inner handle 3a and an inner part 4a, and an outer handle unit 2b with an outer handle 3b and an outer part 4b. The inner part 4a and the outer part 4b are designed for attaching the door locking system 1 to a door and are constructed in a manner known to those skilled in the art. The inner part 4a and the outer part 4b are attached to each other by means of two mounting pins 2c in a manner known to those skilled in the art. The inner handle 3a is pivotably attached to the inner part 4a and the outer handle 3b is pivotally attached to the outer part 4b about a pivot axis SA in a manner known to those skilled in the art.
[0023] The door locking system 1 also features a polygonal spindle 5, which has an inner pin 6a and an outer pin 6b. The inner pin 6a is rotationally fixed to the inner handle 3a, and the outer pin 6b is rotationally fixed to the outer handle 3b. Furthermore, the inner pin 3a can be rotationally fixed to a door lock (not shown here), so that pivoting the inner handle 3a can cause the inner pin 6a to pivot and the door lock to be operated.
[0024] Furthermore, the polygonal pin 5 has a coupling pin 7, which is axially displaceable within the inner pin 6a and the outer pin 6b. The terms "axial" and "radial" refer here and subsequently to the pivot axis SA. The coupling pin 7 extends axially from the inner handle 3a and can be manually displaced axially on the inner handle side. By axially displacing the coupling pin 7, the polygonal pin 5 is moved into a coupling position according to Fig. 1 and into a decoupling position after Fig. 2 adjustable.
[0025] In the coupling position after Fig. 1 The inner pin 6a and the outer pin 6b are connected to each other in a rotationally fixed manner via the coupling pin 7. Pivoting the inner handle 3a causes the inner pin 6a to pivot. Since the inner pin 6a and the outer pin 6b are rotationally fixed in the coupling position of the polygonal pin 5, pivoting the outer handle 3b also causes the outer pin 6b and the inner pin 6a to pivot. If a door lock is provided, the door lock can be operated by pivoting the inner handle 3a and the outer handle 3b.
[0026] In the decoupling position after Fig. 2 The inner pin 3a and the outer pin 3b are rotatably connected to each other via the coupling pin 7, or decoupled from each other. Pivoting the inner handle 3a causes the inner pin 6a to pivot. Since the inner pin 6a is rotatably connected to the outer pin 6b, pivoting the outer handle 3b causes the outer pin 6b to pivot, but not the inner pin 6a. If a door lock is provided, the door lock can be operated by pivoting the inner handle 3a, but not by pivoting the outer handle 3b.
[0027] The door locking system 1 further comprises an unlocking unit 8 which, in the uncoupling position of the polygonal pin 5, prevents axial movement of the coupling pin 7 and, when the inner handle 3a is pivoted, releases the axial movement of the coupling pin 7. The unlocking unit 8 is described below with reference to Fig. 3 explained in more detail.
[0028] Fig. 3 shows an exploded view of an assembly consisting of the polygonal pin 5 and the unlocking unit 8. As in Fig. 3 As can be seen, the coupling pin 7 has a polygonal section 9 and a pivot section 10. An outer contour of the polygonal section 9 engages in a rotationally fixed manner with an inner contour of the inner pin 6a and with an inner contour of the outer pin 6b. An outer contour of the pivot section 10 engages rotatably with the inner contour of the inner pin 6a and the outer pin 6b. In the coupling position and in the decoupling position of the polygonal pin 5, the coupling pin 5 is arranged with the polygonal section 9 in the outer pin 6b and is permanently and rotationally fixed to it. In the inner pin 6a, the coupling pin 5 is arranged with the polygonal section 9 in the coupling position of the polygonal pin 5 and with the pivot section 10 in the decoupling position of the polygonal pin 5. In the coupling position of the polygonal pin 5, the coupling pin 7 and therefore also the outer pin 6b are rotationally fixed to the inner pin 6a.In the decoupling position of the polygonal pin 5, the coupling pin 7 and thus the outer pin 6b are rotatably connected to the inner pin 6a.
[0029] The unlocking unit 8 has a barrier 11 that prevents axial movement of the coupling pin 7 in the uncoupling position of the polygonal pin 5 and releases it when the inner handle 3a is pivoted. The barrier 11 is spring-loaded by a locking spring 12 and is pressed radially inwards towards the coupling pin 7. The function of the barrier 11 is described below with reference to Fig. 4-9 further explained. Furthermore, the unlocking unit 8 has a reset unit 13 with a reset spring 14 and an axial pin 19. The reset spring 14 pushes the coupling pin 7 from the uncoupling position into the coupling position, so that as soon as the barrier 11 releases axial movement of the coupling pin 7, the coupling pin 7 is automatically moved from the uncoupling position into the coupling position. The reset spring 14 is tensioned axially between the coupling pin 7 and the axial pin 19.
[0030] Fig. 4 shows a partial section view and Fig. 5 shows a view of the arrangement Fig. 3 In Fig. 4-5 und Fig. 5 Barrier 11 is partially invisible from the outside and is therefore shown with broken lines. Fig. 4 und Fig. 5 The polygonal pin 5 is in the decoupling position, and the barrier 11 of the unlocking unit 8 engages in an axial annular gap 15 between the inner pin 6a and the coupling pin 7, or rather, the polygonal section 9 of the coupling pin 7. This prevents axial displacement of the polygonal section 9 of the coupling pin 7 into the inner pin 6a, and the polygonal pin 5 is securely fixed in the decoupling position. The locking spring 12 additionally prevents the barrier 11 from unintentionally disengaging from the annular gap 15.
[0031] Fig. 6 shows a partial view and Fig. 7 shows a top view of the arrangement made of Fig. 3 In Fig. 7 Barrier 11 is partially invisible from the outside and is therefore shown with broken lines. Fig. 6 and in Fig. 7 The polygonal pin 5 is in the decoupling position and the polygonal section 9 of the coupling pin 7 is extended from the inner pin 6a. The axial annular gap 15 is formed between the polygonal section 9 and the inner pin 6a, into which the barrier 11 engages.
[0032] Fig. 8 shows a partial view and Fig. 9 shows a top view of the arrangement made of Fig. 3 In Fig. 9 Barrier 11 is partially invisible from the outside and is therefore shown with broken lines. Fig. 8 und Fig. 9 The polygonal pin 5 is in the coupling position and the polygonal section 9 of the coupling pin 7 is partially arranged in the inner pin 6a. No annular gap 15 is formed and the barrier 11 rests on the polygonal section 9 of the coupling pin 7.
[0033] The polygonal pin 5 can be moved from the decoupling position to Fig. 6-7 into the coupling position after Fig. 8-9 The locking mechanism can be adjusted by pivoting the inner handle 3a. For this purpose, the unlocking unit 8 has a stop element 16 formed on the outer part 4b. The stop element 16 engages with the barrier 11, and when the inner handle 3a is pivoted, the stop element 16 holds the barrier 11 back while the inner pin 6a pivots. This pivots the barrier 11 relative to the inner pin 6a and guides it out of the annular gap 15. The return spring 14 of the return unit 13 – see [reference to relevant section] Fig. 3 - As soon as the barrier 11 is led out of the annular gap 15, the coupling pin 7 with the polygonal section 9 is pressed into the inner pin 6a. This couples the coupling pin 7, and consequently also the outer pin 6b, to the inner pin 6a in a rotationally fixed manner. The polygonal pin 5 is now in the coupling position according to Fig. 8-9 .
[0034] From the coupling position to Fig. 8-9 into the decoupling position after Fig. 6-7 The polygonal pin 5 can be adjusted manually. To do this, the coupling pin 7, which protrudes from the inner handle 3a, can be manually pushed towards the outer handle 3b. This pushes the polygonal section 9 of the coupling pin 7 axially out of the inner pin 6a, forming the annular gap 15 between the polygonal section 9 of the coupling pin 7 and the inner pin 6a. The locking spring 12 pushes the barrier 11 radially inwards and secures it in the annular gap 15. The polygonal pin 5 is now in the decoupling position. Fig. 6-7 fixed.
[0035] Fig. 10 und Fig. 11Figure 1 shows views of the door locking system 1 with a rotary disc 17 and an unlocking element 18, which allow the polygonal pin 5 to be adjusted from the disengaged position to the engaged position from the outside. The rotary disc 17 is pivotally mounted to the outer part 4b of the outer handle unit 2b against a spring tension, and the stop element 16 is formed on the rotary disc 17. The rotary disc 17 can be pivoted against the spring tension via the unlocking element 18, which is accessible from the outside – in this case, a pin. The pivoting of the rotary disc 17 also moves the stop element 16 and also guides the barrier 11 out of the annular gap 15. The polygonal pin 5 is adjusted from the disengaged position to the engaged position as described above. The rotary disc 17 and the unlocking element 18 allow the door lock to be unlocked from the outside handle. This may be necessary, for example, if someone locks themselves in from the inside handle. The unlocking element 18 can be designed to be accessible from the outside with a tool and not accessible by hand.
