Abstract
Description
BACKGROUND1. Technical Field
[0001] The present disclosure relates to a crown and a timepiece.2. Related Art
[0002] As a crown provided in a wristwatch, a screw lock type crown that can be locked with a screw to prevent erroneous operation or to improve water resistance is known (for example, refer to JP-A-2021-105531).
[0003] The crown of JP-A-2021-105531 includes a head portion and an axial portion, a recessed portion is formed in the head portion, and a female screw is formed on an inner peripheral surface of the recessed portion which faces the axial portion.
[0004] In the screw lock type crown, it is necessary to form the female screw on the inner peripheral surface of the recessed portion of the head portion. However, the axial portion is provided in the recessed portion, and a space that allows entry of a cutting tool for cutting the female screw is small. Therefore, it is difficult to form a screw by cutting. In particular, when a hard-to-cut material which is less likely to be cut, such as a titanium material, is used as a material for the crown, a service life of the cutting tool is shortened. Therefore, the cutting tool is more frequently replaced, costs increase, and productivity is degraded.
[0005] Therefore, a method of forming the female screw by using a roll tap is adopted. However, in a case of the roll tap, the female screw is formed by plastic working. Therefore, compared to the female screw formed by cutting, quality is degraded, thereby causing a problem in that operability during screw locking and durability of the screw are degraded.SUMMARY

[0009] Hereinafter, a timepiece 1 of an embodiment will be described with reference to the drawings.
[0010] As illustrated in FIGS. 1 and 2, the timepiece 1 includes a case 2 that accommodates a movement. As the movement, various movements used for a wristwatch in the related art, such as a mechanical movement of an automatic winding type that winds a mainspring with an oscillating weight, and a quartz movement, can be used. The movement drives an hour hand 21, a minute hand 22, a seconds hand 23, and a date indicator 24, which are provided in the timepiece 1.
[0011] The case 2 includes a case body 3 and a case back 4. The case body 3 includes a cylindrical case band 11 and a bezel 12 provided on a surface side of the case band 11.
[0012] The bezel 12 is formed in a ring shape and is press-fitted into the case band 11 via a packing 15. The bezel 12 may be attached to the case band 11 to be rotatable. A cover glass 5 is press-fitted into the bezel 12 via a packing 16.
[0013] The case back 4 is configured to include a ring-shaped frame 13 screwed into the case band 11, and a case back glass 14 press-fitted into the frame 13 via a packing 17. A packing 18 is interposed between the case band 11 and the frame 13. The case back 4 may be a general case back that does not include the case back glass 14. In addition, the case band 11 and the case back 4 are not limited to being formed separately from each other and may be a one-piece case in which the case band 11 and the case back 4 are integrated.
[0014] A crown 7 is provided on a side surface of the case band 11 of the timepiece 1. As illustrated in FIGS. 2 and 3, an axial direction of the crown 7 will be defined as an X-axis direction, a direction away from the case band 11 in the X-axis direction will be defined as an X1-direction, and a direction closer to the case band 11 will be defined as an X2-direction.
[0015] As illustrated in FIG. 2, the crown 7 can be pulled out in the X1-direction, and can be rotated in a pulled-out state. Furthermore, as illustrated in FIG. 3, the crown 7 of the present embodiment can be locked by being pushed in the X2-direction and screwed into the case 2 side. In this manner, erroneous operation can be prevented, and improved water resistance can be realized. That is, the crown 7 is a screw lock type crown 7.
[0016] As illustrated in FIGS. 2 and 3, a through-hole penetrating the case band 11 is provided on a side surface of the case band 11, and a first female screw 111 is formed in the through-hole.
[0017] A cylindrical winding stem pipe 60 is attached to the first female screw 111. The winding stem pipe 60 is a metal member, and includes a cylindrical small-diameter portion 61 and a large-diameter portion 62 having a diameter larger than that of the small-diameter portion 61. A first male screw 611 is provided on an outer peripheral surface of the small-diameter portion 61, and a second male screw 621 is provided on an outer peripheral surface of the large-diameter portion 62. The winding stem pipe 60 is fixed to the case band 11 by screwing the first male screw 611 into the first female screw 111 of the case band 11. The winding stem pipe 60 may be fixed to the case band 11 by brazing.
[0018] A step portion 63 between the small-diameter portion 61 and the large-diameter portion 62 of the winding stem pipe 60 is in contact with an outer peripheral surface of the case band 11. A packing 64 is disposed for a waterproof purpose between the case band 11 and the step portion 63. A cross-shaped groove 622 is provided on an end surface of the large-diameter portion 62 on the bottom portion 72 side around a central axis of the winding stem pipe 60. The winding stem pipe 60 can be screwed into the case band 11, and can be detached from the case band 11 by inserting a predetermined jig into the groove 622 and rotating the jig.
[0019] The winding stem pipe 60 is provided with an insertion hole 65 penetrating the small-diameter portion 61 and the large-diameter portion 62 in the X-axis direction. The insertion hole 65 includes a guide surface 651 that guides the crown 7, a recessed groove portion 652 in which a packing 66 is disposed, and a locking groove portion 653 for locking a synthetic resinmade holding ring 67 preventing the packing 66 from being separated from the recessed groove portion 652.
[0020] The crown 7 includes a crown body 70 and a ring member 90. As illustrated in FIGS. 4 and 5, the crown body 70 is a metal member in which a head portion 71 and an axial portion 75 are integrally formed. The head portion 71 is formed in a bottomed tubular shape including a bottom portion 72 and a tubular portion 73. The bottom portion 72 is formed in a substantially circular plate shape, and a symbol mark indicating a brand or the like is displayed on a surface 721 thereof. The symbol mark may be formed by unevenly processing the surface 721, or a plate on which the symbol mark is printed may be adhered, and a method of forming the symbol mark can be appropriately selected.
[0021] The tubular portion 73 is formed in a cylindrical shape, and is configured to extend in the axial direction of the crown 7 from an outer peripheral edge of the bottom portion 72. A knurling 731 is provided on an outer peripheral surface of the tubular portion 73. An inner peripheral surface 732 of the tubular portion 73 is a circumferential surface, and forms a groove portion 733 between the tubular portion 73 and the axial portion 75.
[0022] The inner peripheral surface 732 includes a large-diameter portion 735, an inclined surface 736, and a small-diameter portion 737 which are sequentially disposed from an end surface 734. When an inner diameter of the large-diameter portion 735 is defined as d1 and an inner diameter of the small-diameter portion 737 is defined as d2, d1 > d2 is satisfied.
[0023] The inclined surface 736 is formed such that the inner diameter gradually decreases from the large-diameter portion 735 toward the small-diameter portion 737, and the inclined surface 736 is continuous with the large-diameter portion 735 and the small-diameter portion 737.
[0024] The small-diameter portion 737 is a portion into which the ring member 90 is press-fitted and fixed, and is formed between the inclined surface 736 and the bottom portion 72.
[0025] The axial portion 75 extends from the center of the bottom portion 72, and is disposed inside the tubular portion 73. The axial portion 75 is inserted into the insertion hole 65. The guide surface 651 of the insertion hole 65 functions as a bearing of the axial portion 75, and an outer peripheral surface 751 of the axial portion 75 slides with the guide surface 651. Therefore, the crown 7 is movable with respect to the winding stem pipe 60 along the axial direction of the axial portion 75, and is rotatable around the axial portion 75 as an axis.
[0026] A winding stem insertion hole 76 is formed in the axial portion 75. The winding stem insertion hole 76 is formed along the axial direction of the axial portion 75, and a recessed groove portion 761 in which a first C-ring 77 is disposed is provided on an opening side inserted into the case band 11 as illustrated in FIGS. 2 and 3.
[0027] A coil spring 30 and a winding stem 40 are inserted into the winding stem insertion hole 76. A second C-ring 41 is fixed to the winding stem 40. The coil spring 30 is disposed between the second C-ring 41 and a bottom portion of the winding stem insertion hole 76, and biases the crown 7 with respect to the winding stem 40 in the X1-direction away from the case band 11. As illustrated in FIG. 2, the first C-ring 77 attached to the axial portion 75 comes into contact with the second C-ring 41. In this manner, a movement of the crown 7 is restricted in the X1-direction by the coil spring 30.
[0028] The ring member 90 is a metal member formed in a cylindrical shape, and includes an outer peripheral surface 91, an inner peripheral surface 92, a first end surface 93 on an opening side of the tubular portion 73, that is, on a side in the X2-direction, and a second end surface 94 on the bottom portion 72 side, that is, on a side in the X1-direction.
[0029] The outer peripheral surface 91 of the ring member 90 is provided with an insertion portion 911 inserted into the tubular portion 73, an interference portion 912 press-fitted into the small-diameter portion 737, and a recessed groove portion 913 provided between the insertion portion 911 and the interference portion 912. The interference portion 912 is continuously formed from an outer peripheral edge of the second end surface 94. That is, the interference portion 912 is provided in an end portion of the tubular portion 73, which is located on the bottom portion 72 side, that is, on a back side. When a length dimension of the ring member 90 in the X-axis direction is defined as L11 and a length dimension of the interference portion 912 is defined as L12, the dimension L12 is set to a dimension of substantially 1 / 5 of the dimension L11. In addition, the dimension L11 is a dimension slightly smaller than a depth dimension of the groove portion 733 in the X-axis direction.
[0030] When an outer diameter of the insertion portion 911 is defined as D11 and an outer diameter of the interference portion 912 is defined as D12, d2 < D12 < D11 < d1 is set. Each of the outer diameters D12 and D11 of the interference portion 912 and the insertion portion 911 is smaller than the inner diameter d1 of the large-diameter portion 735. Therefore, when the ring member 90 is inserted into the groove portion 733 of the head portion 71, a slight gap is secured between the insertion portion 911 and the large-diameter portion 735, and the ring member 90 can be smoothly inserted into the groove portion 733 until the interference portion 912 is press-fitted into the small-diameter portion 737.
[0031] In addition, the inner diameter d2 of the small-diameter portion 737 is smaller than the outer diameter D12 of the interference portion 912. Therefore, the interference portion 912 is pushed into the groove portion 733 such that the interference portion 912 and the small-diameter portion 737 are crimped and fixed. Therefore, the interference portion 912 is press-fitted into the groove portion 733, the ring member 90 is disposed along an inner periphery of the tubular portion 73, and is fixed to the head portion 71 of the crown body 70. In this case, the inclined surface 736 is formed between the large-diameter portion 735 and the small-diameter portion 737. Therefore, the interference portion 912 can be smoothly press-fitted into the small-diameter portion 737 via the inclined surface 736.
[0032] Furthermore, the recessed groove portion 913 is formed in the ring member 90. Therefore, the inclined surface 736 can be released, and the ring member 90 can be prevented from interfering with the inclined surface 736. In addition, the recessed groove portion 913 can be filled with an adhesive. Therefore, the ring member 90 can be fixed to the head portion 71 with the adhesive in addition to the press-fitting, and fixing strength can be further improved.
[0033] A large-diameter portion 921, a female screw 922, and a small-diameter portion 923 are provided on the inner peripheral surface 92 of the ring member 90. The large-diameter portion 921 is set to have an inner diameter equal to or larger than a valley diameter of the female screw 922. The inner diameter of the large-diameter portion 921 is set to be larger than the outer diameter of the second male screw 621. Therefore, when the ring member 90 press-fitted into and fixed to the head portion 71 is pushed toward the winding stem pipe 60, the large-diameter portion 921 does not interfere with the second male screw 621. In addition, when length dimensions of the large-diameter portion 921, the female screw 922, and the small-diameter portion 923 in the X-axis direction are defined as L13, L14, and L15, the dimension L15 is longer than the dimension L12. Therefore, in the X-axis direction, a forming range of the female screw 922 and a forming range of the interference portion 912 are different positions.
[0034] The female screw 922 is formed to be screwed into the second male screw 621 of the winding stem pipe 60. The female screw 922 is continuously provided on a side in the X1-direction of the large-diameter portion 921, and as illustrated in FIG. 3, the length dimension L14 in the X-axis direction is set to a dimension in which the female screw 922 and the second male screw 621 can be screwed to a position where the first end surface 93 of the ring member 90 comes into contact with the outer peripheral surface of the case band 11. A forming position of the female screw 922 is on the side in the X1-direction of the large-diameter portion 921.
[0035] The small-diameter portion 923 is continuously provided on the side in the X1-direction of the female screw 922, and is set to be equal to or smaller than the inner diameter of the female screw 922. The female screw 922 may be formed up to the second end surface 94, and a configuration may be adopted in which the small-diameter portion 923 is not provided.
[0036] As illustrated in FIG. 5, when the first end surface 93 of the ring member 90 is disposed on the same plane as the end surface 734, the second end surface 94 is disposed slightly away from the bottom portion 72. The second end surface 94 of the ring member 90 may be brought into contact with the bottom portion 72, and the ring member 90 may be positioned at a position where the first end surface 93 is further recessed than the end surface 734.
[0037] In the present embodiment, the state in which the first end surface 93 of the ring member 90 and the end surface 734 of the tubular portion 73 are disposed on the same plane means that the first end surface 93 and the end surface 734 are disposed on substantially the same plane. That is, the present disclosure is not limited to a case where the first end surface 93 and the end surface 734 are located on completely the same plane. A slight step may be formed between the first end surface 93 and the end surface 734. Any configuration may be adopted, as long as the step is not noticeable when a user visually recognizes the opening side of the crown 7, the first end surface 93 and the end surface 734 can be recognized as being disposed on the same plane, and the aesthetic appearance can be improved.
[0038] In the present embodiment, the crown 7 can be attached to the case 2 in accordance with the following procedure. First, the ring member 90 is press-fitted into and fixed to the crown body 70, and the crown 7 is assembled. Thereafter, the first end surface 93 and the end surface 734 are polished to perform mirror finishing. In this manner, a boundary between the crown body 70 and the ring member 90 becomes less noticeable, and the aesthetic appearance can be further improved. In addition, the winding stem pipe 60 is screwed into and fixed to the case band 11 of the case 2.
[0039] The coil spring 30, a tip of the winding stem 40 to which the second C-ring 41 is attached, and the first C-ring 77 are disposed in the winding stem insertion hole 76 of the axial portion 75, and the winding stem 40 and the axial portion 75 are inserted into the insertion hole 65 of the winding stem pipe 60 on which the packing 66 and the holding ring 67 are mounted. As described above, the crown 7 can be attached to the case 2.
[0040] As illustrated in FIG. 2, a screwing state between the female screw 922 and the second male screw 621 is released. In this manner, a rotation operation or a pulling-out operation of the crown 7 can be performed. In addition, as illustrated in FIG. 3, the crown body 70 is rotated while being pushed in the X2-direction, and the female screw 922 and the second male screw 621 are screwed to each other. In this manner, the crown 7 can be set to a locked state, erroneous operation can be prevented, and water resistance can be improved.
[0041] Materials of the metal-made winding stem pipe 60, the crown body 70, and the ring member 90 are not limited, but in the present embodiment, these are formed of the same metal material such as stainless steel or titanium. The ring member 90 is manufactured separately from the crown body 70. Therefore, even when the ring member 90 is formed of a hard-to-cut material such as titanium, the female screw 922 can be formed by cutting using the cutting tool. In addition, even when the winding stem pipe 60 is formed of the hard-to-cut material such as the titanium, the first male screw 611 and the second male screw 621 can be formed by cutting.Advantageous Effects of Embodiment
[0042] According to the present embodiment, the ring member 90 including the female screw 922 formed on the inner peripheral surface 92 is formed separately from the crown body 70. Therefore, the female screw 922 can be formed in a state where the axial portion 75 is not present inside the ring member 90. Therefore, a space can be secured inside the ring member 90, and the cutting tool for cutting the female screw 922 can be disposed. Therefore, even when the ring member 90 is formed of the hard-to-cut material such as the titanium, the female screw 922 can be formed by cutting. Therefore, quality of the female screw 922 can be improved, operability during screw locking of the crown 7 can be improved, and durability of the female screw 922 or the second male screw 621 of the winding stem pipe 60 can also be improved.
[0043] The outer peripheral surface 91 of the ring member 90 is brought into contact with and press-fitted into and fixed to the inner peripheral surface 732 of the tubular portion 73. Therefore, it is not necessary to increase a thickness of the head portion 71, that is, a length of the head portion 71 in the X-axis direction. Therefore, a size of the crown 7, particularly the length protruding from the case 2 in the X-axis direction, can be suppressed to the same extent as the crown in the related art, and appearance degradation of the timepiece 1 can be prevented.
[0044] In addition, the crown body 70 and the ring member 90 are formed of the same metal material. Therefore, the crown body 70 and the ring member 90 can have an integrally molded outer shape, and an aesthetic appearance can be further improved. Furthermore, after the ring member 90 is press-fitted and fixed, the first end surface 93 of the ring member 90 and the end surface 734 of the crown body 70 are polished together. Therefore, a boundary between the crown body 70 and the ring member 90 becomes less noticeable, and a sense of integration or the aesthetic appearance can be further improved.
[0045] In addition, the interference portion 912 is formed at the end portion on the bottom portion side of the ring member 90, and the recessed groove portion 913 is formed adjacent to the interference portion 912. Therefore, the ring member 90 is fixed to the crown body 70 by press-fitting, and additionally, the recessed groove portion 913 is filled with an adhesive. In this manner, the ring member 90 can also be fixed by the adhesive. Therefore, fixing strength of the ring member 90 can be further improved. Furthermore, the inclined surface 736 is provided on the inner peripheral surface 732. Therefore, when the ring member 90 is inserted into the groove portion 733, the interference portion 912 can be guided by the inclined surface 736, and can be smoothly press-fitted into the small-diameter portion 737. In this manner, assembly workability of the crown body 70 and the ring member 90 can be improved.
[0046] In addition, when the second end surface 94 of the ring member 90 is positioned in the axial direction by being brought into contact with the bottom portion 72 of the crown body 70, for example, the shape of the inner peripheral surface 732 of the tubular portion 73 can be simplified and easily processed, compared to when a step-shaped step portion is provided on the inner peripheral surface of the tubular portion 73 and the ring member 90 is positioned by being brought into contact with the step portion. In addition, the ring member 90 can be easily and accurately positioned with respect to the tubular portion 73. Therefore, the aesthetic appearance can be prevented from being degraded by the ring member 90 protruding from the tubular portion 73.
[0047] The forming range for forming the female screw 922 and the forming range for forming the interference portion 912 are different from each other in the axial direction of the ring member 90. Therefore, even when stress is applied to an inner peripheral side of the ring member 90 in the forming range of the interference portion 912 when the ring member 90 is press-fitted into the crown body 70, the forming range of the female screw 922 is different from the forming range of the interference portion 912. Therefore, the stress can be prevented from being applied to the female screw 922. Therefore, the female screw 922 can be prevented from being deformed when the ring member 90 is press-fitted, and the female screw 922 can be maintained in a high-quality state.Modification Example
[0048] A fixing structure between the crown body and the ring member is not limited to fixing by press-fitting, and the crown body and the ring member may be fixed by brazing, an adhesive, or the like. In addition, the outer peripheral surface of the interference portion 912 of the ring member 90 and the inner peripheral surface of the tubular portion 73 to which the interference portion 912 is fixed are formed into a polygonal shape in a cross section, or a key groove is processed. In this manner, relative rotation of the crown body and the ring member may be regulated by mechanical engagement.
[0049] The interference portion 912 of the ring member 90 is not limited to an example of being provided at the end portion on the bottom portion side of the tubular portion 73, and may be provided in an intermediate portion of the ring member 90 in the axial direction, or may be provided over the whole ring member 90 in the axial direction. In the above-described embodiment, the interference portion 912 is formed in the end portion of the ring member 90. Therefore, there is an advantage that the outer diameter of the interference portion 912 can be easily measured and the dimensional accuracy can be easily managed.
[0050] The winding stem pipe 60, the crown body 70, and the ring member 90 are not limited to an example of being formed of the same metal material, and can be formed of different metal materials. For example, the crown body 70 exposed to the outside in the crown 7 may be formed of a metal material such as 18-carat gold having a high design property, and the winding stem pipe 60 and the ring member 90 may be formed of a metal material such as stainless steel or titanium that does not deteriorate and has high durability even when a screw locking operation is repeatedly performed. Conclusion
[0051] The crown of the present disclosure includes a crown body including a head portion and an axial portion which are integrally formed, the head portion having a bottomed tubular shape and including a bottom portion and a tubular portion, the axial portion extending from the bottom portion and disposed inside the tubular portion; and a ring member including a screw formed on an inner peripheral surface. The ring member is disposed along an inner periphery of the tubular portion, and is fixed to the head portion.
[0052] According to the crown of the present disclosure, the ring member including the female screw formed on the inner peripheral surface is formed separately from the crown body including the head portion and the axial portion. Therefore, the female screw of the ring member can be formed by cutting. Therefore, the quality of the screw can be improved, the operability during screw locking can be improved, and the durability of the screw can also be improved.
[0053] In the crown of the present disclosure, the ring member may be fixed to an inner peripheral surface of the tubular portion by press-fitting.
[0054] According to the crown of the present disclosure, the ring member is fixed by being press-fitted into the inner peripheral surface of the tubular portion of the crown body. Therefore, compared to when the ring member is fixed by an adhesive or brazing, the assembly workability of the crown can be improved, and the ring member can be firmly fixed to the crown body.
[0055] In the crown of the present disclosure, an outer peripheral surface of the ring member preferably includes an insertion portion inserted into the tubular portion and an interference portion press-fitted into the inner peripheral surface of the tubular portion, and the interference portion is preferably provided at an end portion on the bottom portion side of the ring member.
[0056] According to the crown of the present disclosure, a press-fitted portion between the ring member and the tubular portion is press-fitted into and fixed to the bottom portion side opposite to the opening side of the tubular portion. Therefore, even when an adhesive is added to the press-fitted portion, the adhesive does not affect the opening side of the tubular portion. Therefore, the fixing strength of the ring member can be improved without impairing the appearance of the crown.
[0057] In the crown of the present disclosure, the outer peripheral surface of the ring member preferably includes the insertion portion inserted into the tubular portion and the interference portion press-fitted into the inner peripheral surface of the tubular portion, and the screw formed on the inner peripheral surface of the ring member is preferably formed in a range different from a range in which the interference portion is formed in an axial direction of the ring member.
[0058] According to the crown of the present disclosure, the forming range of the female screw on the inner peripheral surface of the ring member and the forming range of the interference portion are different from each other in the axial direction of the ring member. Therefore, the stress applied to the interference portion can be prevented from affecting the female screw when the ring member is press-fitted, and the quality of the screw can be prevented from being degraded.
[0059] In the crown of the present disclosure, the ring member is preferably positioned in the axial direction in a state in which an end surface on the bottom portion side of the ring member is in contact with the bottom portion.
[0060] According to the crown of the present disclosure, the end surface on the bottom portion side of the ring member is positioned in the axial direction by coming into contact with the bottom portion of the crown body. Therefore, for example, compared to when a step-shaped step portion is provided on the inner peripheral surface of the tubular portion and the ring member is positioned by being brought into contact with the step portion, the shape of the inner peripheral surface of the tubular portion can be simplified, and can be easily processed.
[0061] In the crown of the present disclosure, a first end surface of the ring member located on an opening side of the tubular portion and an end surface on the opening side of the tubular portion are preferably disposed on the same plane.
[0062] According to the crown of the present disclosure, the respective end surfaces of the ring member and the tubular portion are disposed on the same plane. Therefore, polishing such as mirror finishing can be performed on each end surface after press-fitting, and a sense of integration or the aesthetic appearance of the ring member and the tubular portion can be improved.
[0063] In the crown of the present disclosure, the crown body and the ring member are preferably formed of the same metal material.
