Description

[0001] Drawer slide for a drawer element of a piece of furniture with a height adjustment device

[0002] The invention relates to a pull-out guide for a drawer element of a piece of furniture with a body rail and a guide rail which is mounted displaceably relative to the latter and which has at least three tracks for spherical rolling elements and is rounded at least on the upper longitudinal edges, wherein a height adjustment device with a cantilever for supporting the drawer element is arranged in a rear region on the guide rail.

[0003] A drawer slide with such a profile for its guide rail is known, for example, from document EP 0 743 031 A2. In cross-section, the profile of the guide rail is rectangular with rounded corners that form the tracks for the spherical rolling elements. This profile, which can be implemented in a similar way for a cabinet rail in a full-extension drawer slide, allows for a very narrow design that can be installed, for example, in the side frame of a drawer. This allows a drawer element to optimally utilize the available width in the furniture carcass.

[0004] The height adjustment device located at the rear allows the drawer unit to be aligned. For this purpose, the height adjustment device features a bracket that can be adjusted up and down relative to the guide rail. The drawer unit is slid onto this bracket during installation on the drawer runner.

[0005] A drawer slide with such a height adjustment device is known, for example, from document EP 3 085 270 A1. The height adjustment device is mounted at a rear end of the guide rail and allows the height of the extension arm to be adjusted using an adjusting screw. A lateral adjustment unit is also provided, with which a rear end of the sliding element can be positioned laterally.

[0006] The cantilever features a sloped ramp at the front in the extension direction to guide the drawer onto the cantilever from the front during insertion. The cantilever itself is positioned next to a side wall of the runner and has a horizontal support surface behind the ramp that is flat across its entire width (i.e., its extension perpendicular to the extension direction) and across its entire depth (i.e., extension in the extension direction).

[0007] The disadvantage is that the exact point of force application on this support surface depends on the orientation of the drawer. If the drawer element is tilted accordingly, it can be located near an outer edge of the support surface, which is at the maximum lateral distance from the guide rail. In this case, a large tipping moment is exerted on the guide rail.

[0008] In particular, in the case of the pull-out guide described above, in which three ball tracks are formed in rounded profile corners, such a tilting moment leads to a load that has an adverse effect on the service life of the pull-out guide.

[0009] It is therefore an object of the present invention to keep a tilting moment, which is caused by a thrust element resting on the support surface of a boom of the height adjustment device, as small as possible in order to reduce adverse effects on the service life of the pull-out guide.

[0010] This problem is solved by a drawer slide having the features of the independent claim. Advantageous embodiments and further developments are the subject of the dependent claims.

[0011] A pull-out guide according to the invention of the type mentioned at the outset is characterized in that the cantilever has, adjacent to one another, at least one inner section facing the guide rail and at least one outer section facing away from the guide rail, wherein the at least one outer section is lowered relative to the at least one inner section, so that the sliding element rests only on the inner section.

[0012] By lowering the section of the two sections adjacent to each other perpendicular to the extension direction, the section farthest from the guide rail ensures that a pushed-on sliding element, in its rest position and preferably also during pushing-on, does not rest on the outer section, but only on at least one inner section. The point of force application of the sliding element into the boom is thus close to the guide rail, so that the tipping moment is as low as possible.

[0013] The shape of the boom thus makes it possible to introduce the weight of the thrust element as close as possible to the central axis of the guide rail, thereby keeping the resulting tipping moment small.

[0014] The boom can be provided with a storage area and a ramp positioned in front of it in the extension direction. The ramp serves to slide the thrust element onto it during assembly. The thrust element then rests permanently in the storage area, for example, with its base. Both the storage area and the ramp area can have an outer lowered section and an inner raised section.

[0015] In an advantageous embodiment of the pull-out guide, the cantilever is undercut in the area of the at least one inner section, as seen from the guide rail. This allows the inner section, on which the sliding element rests, to be brought particularly close to the guide rail, in particular into an upper part of the guide rail that is rounded due to the raceways for the spherical rolling elements. At least part of the at least one inner section can be positioned vertically above the guide rail.

[0016] The guide rail of the drawer guide preferably has an upper, relatively horizontal wall, to which a rounded wall adjoins on both sides, which in turn are each adjoined by a nearly vertical wall. The rounded walls have an inner side, each of which forms the track. At least a part of the at least one inner section preferably intersects the rounded wall of the guide rail with a surface projected vertically downwards. In this way, the at least one inner section protrudes beyond the curve and utilizes the space created by the curve of the guide rail as a support surface for the drawer element.

[0017] Additionally, a lower edge of the at least one inner section facing the guide rail can be chamfered or rounded. This allows the inner section to be positioned even closer to the guide rail with an upper edge. Furthermore, an edge area of the inner section facing the guide rail can be higher than an edge area of the inner section adjacent to the outer section. With a horizontally aligned sliding element, this ensures that the support point or a support line is pushed as close as possible to the direction of the guide rail.

[0018] In a further advantageous embodiment of the pull-out guide, the inner section in the bearing area can have a width of 10% - 75% of the total width of the cantilever in the bearing area. The width of the inner section determines the maximum distance from the center of the guide rail that the force introduction point is (even with an unfavorable inclination of the sliding element). Smaller values are particularly preferred. The outer section in the bearing area can have a width of 25% - 90% of the total width of the cantilever in the bearing area. Larger values are advantageous here.

[0019] In a further advantageous embodiment of the pull-out guide, the cantilever is made of a metal sheet and has a vertical section from which the at least one outer section is bent. Preferably, the at least one outer section is a bent section of the cantilever. In this way, the aforementioned undercut can be easily implemented in a cantilever that can be manufactured as a cost-effective stamped and bent part. Particularly preferably, the material thickness of the metal sheet is smaller than the width of the at least one outer section.

[0020] In a further advantageous embodiment of the drawer slide, a lateral adjustment device is integrated into the height adjustment device. The height adjustment device and / or the lateral adjustment device can be designed as a threaded adjustment with a height adjustment screw or lateral adjustment screw, respectively. Alternatively, eccentric adjusters can also be used.

[0021] In a further advantageous embodiment, the drawer guide has a center rail that is slidably mounted relative to the cabinet rail, and opposite which the runner rail is slidably mounted. The drawer guide is thus designed as a full-extension slide, allowing the drawer element to extend further than a single-extension slide.

[0022] The invention is explained in more detail below using an exemplary embodiment with the aid of the figures. The figures show: Fig. 1 shows a three-dimensional overall view of a drawer guide with a height adjustment device;

[0023] Fig. 2 is a sectional view of the pull-out guide from Fig. 1;

[0024] Fig. 3 is a spatial exploded view of the height adjustment device from Figs. 1 and 2;

[0025] Fig. 4a-c each show a front view of the drawer guide according to Figs. 1 and 2 in different setting positions of a lateral adjustment; and

[0026] Fig. 5a, b each show a front view of the pull-out guide of Fig. 1 and 2 in different setting positions of the height adjustment device.

[0027] In all figures, identical reference symbols identify identical or identically functioning elements. For reasons of clarity, not all elements are provided with reference symbols in all figures.

[0028] When relative terms such as "left" or "right" are used in the description, these refer to the figures described. Only the terms "front," "back," "top," "bottom," and "side" refer to the usual orientation of a drawer element in a piece of furniture when installed. For example, with a drawer as a drawer element, the usual orientation is such that the drawer base is essentially horizontal and a pull-out guide is pulled forward toward a user from a piece of furniture.

[0029] Fig. 1 shows a drawer guide 1 with a height adjustment device 10 in a spatial representation.

[0030] The pull-out guide 1 is designed as a full-extension slide and has a cabinet rail 2 that can be mounted to a side wall of a furniture carcass using a mounting bracket 3. The pull-out guide also has a center rail 4 that is mounted so that it can move relative to the cabinet rail 2 and relative to a guide rail 5. A sliding element is arranged on the guide rail 5 in a manner described in more detail below. This sliding element can be extended forwards out of a furniture carcass using the pull-out guide 1 shown. Typically, two such pull-out guides 1 are used, one on each side of the furniture carcass, to support the sliding element on both sides.

[0031] The sliding element, for example the aforementioned drawer, is mounted and secured to the guide rail 5 in a front and a rear section. For this purpose, a front sliding element holder 6 is located in the front area of the guide rail 5, to or in which a mounted sliding element is secured.

[0032] Located in the rear area of the guide rail 5 is the height adjustment device 10, which has a forward-projecting bracket 122 on which the sliding element rests. The bracket 122 is adjustable in height relative to the guide rail 5 by means of a height adjustment element 14 in order to align the sliding element, e.g., to ensure a uniform joint pattern on the front. The height adjustment element 14 is provided with an adjusting thread.

[0033] The height adjustment device 10 has a forward-projecting pin 152. The pin 152 engages an opening or recess in the sliding element to secure the sliding element against lifting off the height adjustment device 10.

[0034] In the illustrated embodiment, a lateral adjustment device is also integrated into the height adjustment device 10. The lateral adjustment device acts on the forward-projecting pin 152 in such a way that the pin 152 can be displaced in its lateral position relative to the guide rail by means of a lateral adjustment element 16. The lateral adjustment element 16 is provided with an adjusting thread. The pin 152 engages in an opening or recess in the sliding element to adjust its lateral position.

[0035] The illustrated drawer guide 1 also features a self-retracting and damping device 7, which retracts the guide rail 5 further relative to the cabinet rail 2 once the drawer guide 1 reaches a certain closed position, thereby dampening the movement. Damping can also be provided when approaching the fully open drawer position.

[0036] Fig. 2 shows the drawer guide 1 of Fig. 1 in a partially sectioned view. The view is from the front along the drawer extension direction. The cabinet rail 2 with mounting bracket 3, the center rail 4 and the running rail 5, as well as the self-closing and damping device 7, are shown in section. Only an upper section of the extension arm 122 of the height adjustment device 10 is shown in section; all other parts, even if they are located in front of the section plane, are shown in a frontal view.

[0037] In the view of Fig. 2, the cross-section of the rails 2, 4 and 5 of the pull-out guide 1 is clearly visible. The running rail 5, like the body rail 2, has an incomplete rectangular, almost square cross-section. Specifically, there are three corners of the almost square cross-section. They are rounded and represent running surfaces for spherical rolling elements 8. Accordingly, between the body rail 2 and the center rail 4, and also between the center rail 4 and the running rail 5, there are three (ball) raceways 81 in each of the three corners. Corresponding to the rounding of the corners of the profile of the running rail 5, the outer geometry at the longitudinal edges of the running rail 5 is also rounded. The cross-sectional profile of the cantilever 122 is adapted to this outer shape of the running rail 5, which will be explained in more detail in connection with the figures described below.

[0038] 1 and 2 is shown in more detail in a spatial exploded view. It has a support 11, which is preferably made of sheet metal using a stamping and bending process. The support 11 is mounted on a rear region of the guide rail 5, in particular welded to the guide rail 5. It projects upwards above the guide rail 5 with a base 111. Two side cheeks 112 and 113 are formed on the sides, each having an approximately C-shaped profile and, together with the base 111, forming a guide 114. At the upper end, the base 111 is angled forwards and forms a bearing plate 115, in which an opening 116 is made in the center. The height adjustment element 14, which rests on the bearing plate 115 with a head part 141, passes through this opening 116. The head part 141 enables manual operation through a haptic geometry.In addition, a tool holder is additionally formed in the head part 141 in order to be able to adjust the height adjustment element 14 with a tool, e.g. a screwdriver.

[0039] A height-adjustable slider 12 is guided vertically in the guide 114 of the support 11. This slider has a base 121. The base 121 is made from a stamped and bent sheet metal. The extension arm 122, on which the thrust element rests, protrudes forward from the base 121. The shape of the extension arm 122 will be explained in more detail below.

[0040] An adjusting block 13 is fastened transversely to the base 121 by means of rivets 129. The rivets 129 pass through bores in the adjusting block 13 into rivet bores 128 in the base 121 and are riveted there. Adjustment surfaces, or a setting surface, are formed in the adjusting block 13, against which the height adjustment element 14 rests. In this embodiment, a thread 131 is formed in the adjusting block 13, into which the thread of the height adjustment element 14 engages. Turning the height adjustment element 14 accordingly results in an upward or downward movement of the adjusting block 13, and thus of the height adjustment slide 12, relative to the support 11. It should be noted that, for the sake of simplicity, the height adjustment element 14 is shown without its thread.

[0041] A lateral adjustment is also integrated into the height adjustment slide 12. For this purpose, the height adjustment slide 12 is angled backward at the upper end of the base 121, forming a guide plate 126. The underside of the guide plate 126 and the upper side of the adjustment block 13 represent the upper and lower limits of a guide channel into which a lateral adjustment slide 15 is inserted. The lateral adjustment slide 15 is guided forward and backward by the base 111 of the support 11 and the base 121 of the height adjustment slide 12, respectively.

[0042] The lateral adjustment slide 15 has a sliding block 151 that can be moved within the aforementioned guide channel. A forward-projecting pin 152, which engages the thrust element, is formed on the sliding block 151. A thread 153 is formed horizontally in the sliding block 151, into which the lateral adjustment element 16 engages. Furthermore, the sliding block 151 has a recess 154, and the guide plate 126 has an opening 127 for the passage of the height adjustment element 14.

[0043] The lateral adjustment element 16, like the height adjustment element, has a head part 161. A haptic geometry is arranged on the head part 161. In addition, a tool holder is arranged on the head part 161. A groove 162 is formed in the head part 161 to mount the lateral adjustment element 16 in a receptacle 125 in the base 121. The lateral adjustment slide 15 can thus be actively moved to the right or left by the lateral adjustment element 16. Alternatively, a lateral adjustment element without the aforementioned groove can be used, which enables active movement of the lateral adjustment slide 15 in the direction of the lateral adjustment element 16. Movement in the opposite direction is accomplished by a spring.

[0044] The boom 122 has at least two different sections in the longitudinal direction. A horizontally inclined ramp 123 is formed in the front area, which is adjoined by a storage area 124. The ramp 123 serves to slide a sliding element, which then rests on the storage area 124. In the lateral direction, two different sections can also be distinguished in both the ramp 123, but especially in the storage area 124: an inner section 124i facing the guide rail 5, and an outer section 124a facing away from the guide rail 5.

[0045] In Fig. 3, the inner and outer sections 123i, 123a, 124i, 124a of the ramp 123 and the storage area 124 are distinguished by the additional indices "a" and "i" respectively. As can be seen from a comparison with Fig. 2, the vertical section of the boom 122, i.e., the section angled away from the base 121, is positioned adjacent to the guide rail 5. From this vertical section, in turn, the ramp 123 and the storage area 124 are angled away, with the inner section 123i of the ramp 123 and the inner section 124i of the storage area 124 being located laterally adjacent to the vertical section of the boom 122. The bracket 122 is correspondingly undercut towards the guide rail 2, ie it protrudes with its upper side over a lower part to the side of the guide rail 2, similar to a balcony.The outer sections 123a of the ramp and 124a of the storage area are lowered relative to the inner sections 123i and 124i to such an extent that a pushed-on sliding element does not rest on these outer sections 123a, 124a either during pushing-on or in its rest position, but only on the inner sections 123i and 124i.

[0046] The outer and inner sections 124a, 124i have a total width, which is designated by a "B" in Figs. 2 and 3. The individual widths are indicated by an "a" or an "i" in Fig. 3, corresponding to the indices. In the illustrated embodiment, the widths i and a are approximately equal. Preferably, the width i is approximately 10% - 75% of the total width B, and the width a is approximately 25% - 90% of the total width B.

[0047] As can be seen from Fig. 2, the inner section 124i of the bearing area 124 is positioned above a wall section of the guide rail 5 and extends into the rounded area of the guide rail 5. For this purpose, the lower edge of the inner section 124i of the bearing area 124 is additionally chamfered.

[0048] The force introduction point or force introduction surface of the thrust element into the boom 122 is thus located close to the guide rail 5, so that the lowest possible tipping moment is exerted. If the height adjustment device 10 is used in its lowest position, which is shown in Fig. 2, the thrust element can even rest completely on the guide rail 5 itself. In this case, no tipping moment is generated at all.

[0049] The shape of the boom 122 thus makes it possible to introduce the weight force of the thrust element into the guide rail 5 as close as possible to the center axis of the guide rail, thereby keeping the resulting tipping moment small.

[0050] Fig. 4a-4c each show front views of the pull-out guide 1 with the height adjustment device 10.

[0051] The figures show different settings of the integrated windage adjustment: Fig. 4a initially shows a middle setting of the windage adjustment. In Fig. 4b, the windage adjustment is shifted to the right by a certain amount, specifically approximately 1.5 mm, as indicated by a shift arrow 9. In Fig. 4c, a shift of approximately the same amount to the left is shown, again indicated by the shift arrow 9.

[0052] Figs. 5a and 5b show the effect of the height adjustment in a comparable manner. Fig. 5a again represents the neutral position, which corresponds accordingly to Fig. 4. In Fig. 5b, a height adjustment of approximately 4 mm has been made, again symbolized by the displacement arrow 9.
