[0001] The present disclosure relates to a door arrangement, and especially to a door arrangement related with improved security functions.Background
[0002] An important security problem in both resident and commercial buildings is the risk of burglary into the apartments, houses, offices etc. There is an ongoing development of locks, latch systems and hinges in order to decrease this problem and to obstruct efforts to pry open doors. However, providing a door with a very complex lock to improve security may be a costly measure to take.
[0003] A common way to pry open a door, which is locked to a door frame with a latch, is to force the door away from the door frame part which the latch is connected to, and towards the door frame part where the door is connected via hinges, for instance by means of a crowbar. The latch is followingly exposed to a stress from which it eventually may break. One way to counteract this problem is to produce latches with higher strength and / or more sophisticated locking connections between the door and the door frame. Another way is to have a plurality of locking latches on the door. This may however increase cost and complexity for the door installation.
[0004] Consequently, there is a need for an improved security function for doors which do not require complex and expensive locks.Summary
[0005] It is an object of the present invention to provide an improved solution that alleviates the mentioned drawbacks with present devices. Furthermore, it is an object to provide a cost-efficient solution for a secure door.

[0007] According to a first aspect of the invention a door arrangement is provided comprising a door and a door frame relative to which the door can be opened and closed, and to which the door can be locked. The door comprises a lock having a lock housing arranged inside the door and a lock member configured to extend out of the lock housing to engage with the door frame. The door comprises a first door plane portion and a second door plane portion, both door plane portion extending along an extension plane of the door. A thickness of the door is provided by the combined thicknesses of the first and second door plane portions. The first door plane portion has a thickness of at least 35 mm. The first door plane portion has an outer side surface facing the direction towards which the door is opened when being opened relative to the door frame, and the second door plane portion has an inner side surface facing in a direction opposite to the outer side surface. The first and second door plane portions each has a first door frame facing side, each facing towards the door frame. The first door frame facing side of the first door plane portion extends further towards the door frame than the first door frame facing side of the second door plane portion by a first extension distance being at least 10 mm. The lock housing is arranged inside the second door plane portion at the first door frame facing side of the second door plane portion and the lock member is configured to extend through the first door frame facing side of the second door plane portion to engage with the door frame. The door frame comprises a first portion, a second portion and a third portion, each having a first side facing in a direction in parallel with the extension plane of the door, and a second side facing in a direction perpendicular to the extension plane of the door. The first side of the first portion of the door frame is configured to face towards the first door frame facing side of the first door plane portion, and the first side of the second portion of the door frame is configured to face towards the first door frame facing side of the second door plane portion and to receive the lock member. The first portion has a thickness of at least 35 mm. The second side of the second portion of the door frame is configured to face towards an inner side surface of the first door plane portion, and the second side of the third portion of the door frame is configured to face towards the inner side surface of the second door plane portion. The door arrangement further comprises a security member having a first security member part arranged at the first door frame facing side of the first door plane portion of the door and a second security member part arranged at the first side of the first portion of the door frame, wherein the two security member parts are configured to interact with each other to prevent opening of the door if the door is moved relative to the door frame in a direction perpendicular to the opening direction of the door.
[0008] By the present invention a door arrangement is provided with a high level of security while the door lock may not need to be of an advanced type. With the lock housing being arranged in the second door plane portion, being the inner plane portion of the door, and the first plane portion being at least 35 mm thick and provided with a security member part configured to interact with a corresponding security member part on the door frame, a high level security for the door may be achieved. Such door arrangement may be certified for a security rating of at least RC3. Since no complex lock is required to achieve this security level, the door arrangement further is cost-efficient, especially for a door arrangement of such security level.
[0009] The first door plane portion, extending further towards the door frame than the second door plane portion, may extend as a flange outside an edge of the second door plane portion. Besides restricting access to the lock member from outside the door, the configuration of such flange may provide a sealing functionality between the door and the door frame. A gap may be formed between the door and the door frame. One or more sealing members may be provided in the gap, attached either to the door or to the door frame, or both. The first door plane portion may form a rabbet of the door.
[0010] At an opposite side of the door, at which side the door may be suspended by hinges to the door frame, the hinges may be attached to the first door plane portion of the door. Preferably the hinges may be attached to a door frame facing side of the first door plane portion, which side may face the door frame at the hinge side. The hinges may not be attached to the second door plane portion. At the hinge side of the door, the door plane portions and the portions of the door frame may have corresponding configuration as at the side of the door comprising the lock and the security member.

[0024] The figures illustrate a door arrangement 1 comprising a door 2 and a door frame 3. The door 2 is constituted by a first door plane portion 10 and a second door plane portion 20. The first door plane portion 10 has an outer side surface 11, which also constitute an outer surface of the door 2. Put differently, the first and second door plane portions 10, 20 extend along or in parallel with an extension plane of the door 2. A first security member part 71 may be arranged in the first door plane portion 10 at the first door frame facing side 12 of the first door plane portion 10. A second security member part 72 may be arranged on the first portion 40 of the door frame 3. The second security member part 72 may be arranged on the first side 41 of the first portion 40. For instance, when an authorized opening of the door 2 is performed, such that the lock member 32 is operated to disengage from the door frame 3, the door 2 may be opened without the security member 70 preventing the opening. However, if someone is trying to make an unauthorized opening of the door 2, for instance by means of a crowbar put into the gap between the door 2 and the door frame 3, the security member 70 may be configured to prevent the door 2 from being opened. The security member 70 may be configured to lock the door 2 to the door frame 3, thereby providing a second locking point between the door 2 and the door frame 3, besides the lock member 32. An improved resistance against unauthorized opening of the door 2 may thereby be provided.

The first cover plate 81 is arranged on the outer side surface 11 of the door 2, and the second cover plate 82 is arranged on the inner side surface 21 of the door 2. A door arrangement (1) comprising a door (2) and a door frame (3) relative to which the door (2) can be opened and closed, and to which the door can be locked, wherein the door (2) comprises a lock having a lock housing (30) arranged inside the door (2) and a lock member (32) configured to extend out of the lock housing (30) to engage with the door frame (3), wherein the door (2) comprises a first door plane portion (10) and a second door plane portion (20), both door plane portion extending along an extension plane of the door, wherein a thickness of the door (2) is provided by the combined thicknesses (T1, T2) of the first and second door plane portions (10, 20), wherein the first door plane portion (10) has a thickness of at least 35 mm, wherein the first door plane portion (10) has an outer side surface (11) facing a direction towards which the door is opened when being opened relative to the door frame (3), and the second door plane portion (20) has an inner side surface (21) facing in a direction opposite to the outer side surface (11), wherein the first and second door plane portions (10, 20) each has a first door frame facing side (12, 22), wherein the first door frame facing side (12) of the first door plane portion (10) extends further towards the door frame (3) than the first door frame facing side (22) of the second door plane portion (20) by a first extension distance (D1) being at least 10 mm, wherein the lock housing (30) is arranged inside the second door plane portion (20) at the first door frame facing side (22) of the second door plane portion (20) and the lock member (32) is configured to extend through the first door frame facing side (22) of the second door plane portion (20) to engage with the door frame (3), wherein the door frame (3) comprises a first portion (40), a second portion (50) and a third portion (60), each having a first side (41, 51, 61) facing in a direction in parallel with the extension plane of the door (2), and a second side (42, 52, 62) facing in a direction perpendicular to the extension plane of the door (2), wherein the first side (41) of the first portion (40) of the door frame (3) is configured to face towards the first door frame facing side (12) of the first door plane portion (10), the first side (51) of the second portion (50) of the door frame (3) is configured to face towards the first door frame facing side (22) of the second door plane portion (20) and to receive the lock member (32), wherein the first portion (40) has a thickness of at least 35 mm, wherein the second side (52) of the second portion (50) of the door frame (3) is configured to face towards an inner side surface (13) of the first door plane portion (10), and the second side (62) of the third portion (60) of the door frame (3) is configured to face towards the inner side surface (21) of the second door plane portion (20), and wherein the door arrangement further comprises a security member (70) having a first security member part (71) arranged at the first door frame facing side (12) of the first door plane portion (10) of the door (2) and a second security member part (72) arranged at the first side (41) of the first portion (40) of the door frame (3), wherein the two security member parts (71, 72) are configured to interact with each other to prevent opening of the door (2) if the door (2) is moved relative to the door frame (3) in a direction perpendicular to the opening direction (A1) of the door (2).
2. The door arrangement according to claim 1, wherein the thickness (T2) of the second door plane portion (20) is at least 25 mm, or at least 35 mm, or between 25-40 mm.
3. The door arrangement according to claim 1 or 2, wherein the first portion (40) of the door frame (3) has a thickness (T4) of at least 35 mm.

The door arrangement according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the security member parts (71, 72) in a first position relative to each other enable opening of the door (2) relative to the door frame (3) along the opening direction (A1), and in a second position relative each other, wherein the first security member part (71) has been moved in a direction along the extension plane of the door (2) away from the door frame (3) relative to the first position, engage with each other such that opening of the door (2) relative to the door frame (3) is prevented.

The door arrangement according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein a first cover plate (81) is arranged on the outer side surface (11) of the door (2) and a second cover plate (82) is arranged on the inner side surface (21) of the door (2), wherein the first and second cover plates (81, 82) are connected to each other by means of fastening means (83) extending through the first and second door plane portions (10, 20).
6. The door arrangement according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the lock housing (30) and the security member (70) are provided at a lock side (2", 3") of the door (2) and door frame (3), and wherein at a hinge side (2', 3') of the door (2) and door frame (3), opposite said lock side (2", 3"), hinges (90) are attached to the first portion (40) of the door frame (3) and to a door frame facing side of the first door plane portion (10).
7. The door arrangement according to claim 6, wherein the first and second door plane portions (10, 20) and the portions (40, 50, 60) of the door frame (3) at the hinge side (2", 3") have a corresponding configuration as at the lock side (2', 3').
