Abstract

The invention relates to a sensor device (8) for monitoring a person (P) requiring care, having a sensor unit (3) with at least one sensor (30) for ascertaining measurement data, a transmission unit (41) for transmitting the measurement data to a data analysis unit (5), and a receiving unit (42) for receiving signals of the data analysis unit (5). The sensor device (8) additionally has an alarm unit (6) which is designed to automatically transmit a radio signal to an alarm system (7) for care personnel (H) after obtaining a signal of the data analysis unit (5). The sensor device according to the invention and the method according to the invention allow new sensor units, in particular cloud-based and / or digital monitoring systems, to be incorporated into known alarm systems, in particular radio-based alarm systems.
