Description

[0001] The invention concerns a training device in the form of a training belt especially for practising football techniques finding application in improving football skills, particularly in the area of ball control and movement precision without full visibility of surroundings. The training belt according to the invention enables training with limited visibility, developing intuition and sense of spatial orientation. Thanks to this construction, the player can train movement and decision-making habits required in football, which contributes to improved control and movement precision.

[0002] Functional technique of football is a set of practical skills and techniques that allow a player to play effectively under real match conditions. It involves using techniques effectively in situations that may occur on the pitch, not just executing them correctly under isolated training conditions. Functional technique is crucial in professional football because it encompasses efficiency in practical match situations and affects the speed and fluidity of the game.

[0003] Previously used devices for improving functional technique of football included, for example, trainers or belts that were typically attached to the player's body and used in combination with a football placed on an additional cord.

[0004] From American patent specification No. US 10071297 B2, a training device for ball sports is known, consisting of a tether whose first end is attached to a connector module and whose second end is attached to a ball-securing device. The ball-securing device is configured to secure the ball contained therein. The strap can be configured so that the connector module is connected to it when the belt is to be worn around the user's waist. The connector module, which can move along the belt depending on the throwing force applied to the ball.

[0005] European patent specification No. EP3261735 B1 discloses training equipment for ball training, consisting of a ball attached to an elastic cord that returns the ball to its starting point, wherein the elastic cord is attached to a rod that is attached to a harness adapted for attachment to the athlete's back, and preferably should be extendable, for example telescopically. The rod is attached to the harness via a curved intermediate element that may have a joint with an adjustable angle.

[0006] Korean utility model specification No. KR200199701 Y1 discloses a football holder that has a hemispherical shape that wraps around the top of the ball, providing secure and stable holding. The holder additionally contains a strap system that can be adjusted to fit different waist sizes, allowing children of various ages to use it comfortably.

[0007] Training devices with limited field of vision for players are also known, e.g., Russian patent specification No. RU2722794 C1 discloses a method of training athletes in various sports disciplines, such as football, basketball, and athletics, through the use of a vest that restricts their field of vision and contains a sound device inside the ball, which helps improve their peripheral vision and technique. Additionally, the vest has an extended collar, allowing for better functionality and adjustability. The application of this invention aims to increase the training efficiency of athletes, improve their peripheral vision, and ultimately increase their skill level, quality, and enjoyment of the game.

[0008] To date, from the state of the art from both scientific and patent literature, a training belt especially for practising football techniques according to the invention is not known.

[0009] In football training, a commonly known problem is the excessive reliance of players, especially young ones, on visual control of the ball while dribbling. Players tend to constantly look down at the ball, resulting in limited awareness of the situation on the pitch, delayed tactical decision-making, lack of observation of teammates' and opponents' positions, and insufficient development of proprioception, i.e., sensing the ball's position without visual control.

[0010] Previously, in the training practice of functional technique of football, mainly verbal methods were used, consisting of coach's instructions ordering players to raise their heads while dribbling. However, these methods are ineffective because they require constant concentration and self-discipline from the player, do not create permanent motor habits, and are difficult to monitor during group training sessions.

[0011] Situational exercises are also known in which the player must react to visual signals from the coach, which forces them to raise their head. However, these methods do not eliminate the physical possibility of looking at the ball and do not enforce automation of correct technique.

[0012] Therefore, a need arose to develop a simple, practical training device that would physically prevent visual control of the ball while not restricting the player's natural movements and being comfortable to use during dynamic exercises.

[0013] The purpose of the invention is to develop a training belt that physically enforces the development of correct technical habits in players through controlled restriction of the lower part of the field of vision, forcing ball dribbling without direct visual control. The training belt according to the invention allows for exercises including, among others, ball mastery, passing precision, shooting skills, and ball-receiving ability. An additional objective of the invention is to create a construction that is easy to assemble and disassemble, comfortable during use, durable, and safe for the user. It was decided to ensure that the training belt according to the invention has appropriate durability and functionality through the use of spring wire with required tensile strength and waterproof fabrics whose weave and polyurethane coating provide an effect of increased durability as well as resistance to soiling. Unexpectedly, it turned out that the selection of fabric for the shield, selection of fabric for the carrier belt, and selection of wire parameters leads to a new training belt construction with increased durability and desired functionality.
