Abstract

Method for Egg Sexing of Bird Embryos and Associated Devices The present invention relates to a method for egg sexing of bird embryos, the egg sexing method being implemented by a computer and comprising the steps of: - obtaining at least one image of a set of eggs for which egg sexing is to be performed, each image of an egg being a transmission image of the egg, - applying an egg sexing model to the at least one image to predict the sex of each egg in the set of eggs, the egg sexing model having been learned by training on a dataset consisting of a set of training pairs, each training pair associating the sex of the embryo with an image of an egg, the difference in incubation time between an egg from one training pair and an egg from another training pair being less than or equal to 1 hour for each training pair in the dataset. Claims

representation of two eggs of different sexes up to a predefined margin.

8. Product computer program comprising a computer program including program instructions, the computer program being loadable onto a data processing unit and adapted to drive the implementation of a method according to any one of claims 1 to 7 when the computer program is implemented on the data processing unit.

9. Readable information carrier comprising program instructions forming a computer program, the computer program being loadable onto a data processing unit and adapted to drive the implementation of a method according to any one of claims 1 to 7 when the computer program is implemented on the data processing unit.

10. A bird embryo sexing system (10), the egg sexing system (10) comprising: - an acquisition device (12) for acquiring a transmission image of at least one egg, and - a computer (14), the computer (14) being capable of: - obtaining at least one image of a set of eggs for which egg sexing is to be performed, each image of an egg being a transmission image of the egg obtained by the acquisition device (12), and - applying an egg sexing model to at least one image to predict the sex of each egg in the set of eggs, the egg sexing model having been learned by training on a dataset consisting of a set of pairs, each training pair associating the sex of the embryo with an image of an egg, the difference in incubation time between an egg from one training pair and an egg from another training pair being less than or equal to 1 hour for each training pair in the dataset. 10
