Abstract
The present article is a packaging container made of a thermoplastic resin or a mixed material containing a thermoplastic resin, pulp, talc, or bioplastic, for packaging food such as prepared meals or boxed lunches sold at supermarkets or convenience stores, and may include a container body for containing food and be closed with a predetermined lid. For example, the present article may be the container body described above, and the lid is made of a heat-shrinkable film that wraps around the entire container body, and is suitable for packaging in which the heat-shrinkable film wraps the container body into a cylindrical (pillow) shape while the container is moved horizontally (sideways), and the heat-shrinkable film shrinks (shrinks) the container body by blowing hot air onto the container body. Alternatively, the present article may be a container made of an elastic wrap material that wraps the container body while the container is moved horizontally or vertically, and is suitable for packaging in which the wrap material generates tension and the container body wraps the container body (wrap packaging), and includes a bottom, side walls, and a flange. As shown in the plan view, the outer edge of the bottom and the side surfaces of the side walls are curved inward, and the outer edge of the flange is bulged outward. Furthermore, as shown in the end view, the top surface of the flange is rounded. The portion for which the design is sought extends from the outer edge of the flange to a flat area slightly inward from the outer edge of the bottom. The top surface of the flange not only serves the function and purpose of preventing the heat-shrinkable film or wrapping material from tearing, but also includes the most inwardly curved portions of the outer edge of the bottom and the side surfaces of the side walls, and the most outwardly bulged portions of the outer edges of the flange, thereby maintaining the original shape of the article against the inward stresses imposed on it during lateral flow pillow shrink packaging or wrap packaging.
