Abstract

This image is an information display image shown on authentication machines installed in airports and other facilities, intended to show destination guidance information to airport users. The same route guidance marks (marks "a" and "d" shown with dashed lines) displayed in the "Image Diagram" are posted in various locations within airport facilities, and users can use the route guidance marks shown in this image as a guide to proceed to their next destination. When a user approaches an authentication machine displaying the "Image Diagram," the machine's camera automatically activates, and the captured image of the user is displayed (an image of this display is shown as "Reference Figure 2"). Based on this image, facial recognition is performed, and if the user's identity is confirmed, passage is permitted, and the display transitions to "Image Diagram 1 showing the changed state."
