Nasogastric tube fixation device

Abstract

The article relating to this design is a nasogastric tube fixing device for guiding a nasogastric tube inserted into the nostril to the side of the patient's face and holding it in place. As shown in Reference Figure 3, which illustrates the state of use, the nasogastric tube is fitted into fixing grooves extending from the center of the main body in the left and right directions, and the ends of the main body are attached to the cheek area with fixing tape, so that the nasogastric tube is held in a state that makes it difficult to come off. Also, as shown in Reference Figures 2 and 3, which illustrate the state of use, elongated holes are formed at both ends of the main body, which also serve as retainers, and the device can also be used in a form in which a separate band is connected to these elongated holes and attached around the head. When using the band, it can be fixed without using fixing tape alone, and the device is designed to be easy to use with consideration for skin irritation, and it can also be used to hold the tube securely even when adhesion is difficult due to the shape of the area under the nose, such as when there is a beard or when there are no front teeth.
