Abstract

To reduce manufacturing costs.SOLUTION: A power transmission device has a differential device that transmits rotations between a power transmission mechanism and a drive shaft, and a housing that stores the power transmission mechanism and the differential device and is equipped with an insertion hole of the drive shaft. The differential device has a differential case that is supported so as to rotate around an axis along the drive shaft in the housing and is equipped with a cylinder portion surrounding the axis, a side gear that is oppositely disposed at an interval in an axial direction in the differential case, and rotatably supported by an inner periphery of the cylinder portion, and a connecting shaft that is inserted in the housing from the insertion hole and couples the side gear and the drive shaft. On an inner periphery of the insertion hole, a seal member sealing a clearance between an outer periphery of the connecting shaft and the inner periphery of the insertion hole is provided.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
