Description

Technical Field

[0001] The present invention relates to a door that constitutes a hinged door having a door leaf, a parent-child opening, a double opening, etc., and a hinge, and particularly to a door having a finger pinch prevention structure in which a human finger or the like is not pinched between the door leaf and the frame.

Background Art

[0002] As an accident that occurs during the use of a building, there are many cases where a part of the body such as a finger is pinched between the door leaf and the frame during the opening and closing operation of the door, resulting in injury. For example, the accident information database of the National Institute of Technology and Evaluation (Nite), an independent administrative agency, has published 35 pieces of accident information since 1997, and it has been reported that 26 of them were serious injuries and 20 were finger pinch accidents. In addition, according to an investigation by the Tokyo Fire Department, in the five years from 2011 to 2015, 932 children were rescued and transported to the hospital after being pinched by a manual door, and 45 of them had their fingers cut off.

[0003] In response to such cases, the government and the construction industry are exploring ways to promote safety measures for doors and define finger pinch prevention. For example, in the "Product Safety Guidelines for Interior Folding Doors" published by the Japan Building Materials and Housing Equipment Industry Association in 2007, as an industry self-regulation created due to an accident in which a child's finger was pinched and cut off at the hinge part of a storage folding door, it is specified that "a gap of 5 to 13 mm should not be provided at the relevant location, including the state during opening and closing."

[0004] In addition, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government's Bureau of Urban Development, Consumer Affairs and Safety Division published a "Report on the Safety of Doors" in 2017 (2015), and the later revised "Guidelines for Child-Friendly Housing" states that "the structure should be such that there is no gap (5 mm or more and less than 13 mm) where a child could pinch a finger on the hanging side, including the state during the opening and closing of the door."

[0005] Furthermore, in the certification criteria of the Excellent Housing Component Certification System managed by the Better Living General Incorporated Foundation, as the "Additional Criteria for Interior Doors with Features Contributing to the Realization of a Society Where Anyone, Including the Elderly and Persons with Disabilities, Can Live with Peace of Mind," it is stated that "On the hanging side (hinge side): There should be no gaps (more than 5 mm and less than 13 mm) where a child could get their finger caught. This includes the state of the door during the opening and closing process."

[0006] By the way, in a hinged door, the hanging side of the door refers to the side opposite the leading edge of the door where the hinge for rotation is installed. In a general door structure, the gap provided on this hanging side is desirably 5 mm or less, particularly about 3 mm. This is for preventing light leakage, sound leakage, and air leakage when the door is closed, considering the purpose of installing the door to divide space. For this purpose, it is considered desirable to make the gap as small as possible. And to prevent finger pinching accidents on the hanging side of the door in such hinged doors, as proposed and recommended in the above-mentioned reports and standards, it is desirable not to provide a gap of 5 - 13 mm, including the state of the door during the opening and closing process, while maintaining the shielding performance when the door is closed and considering safety in the gap design.

[0007] However, so far, an effective structure, configuration, etc. for ensuring a gap of 5 - 13 mm on the hanging side of the door, including the state of the door during the opening and closing process as described above, has not been realized. For example, in a rotating door, it has been proposed to make the hanging side of the door semi-circular in horizontal cross-section except for the upper half and use a hinge that can place the axis at the center of the circle. However, making the hanging side of the door semi-circular is not easy because it is not part of the normal door manufacturing process. Especially for doors commonly used in wooden interiors, it is difficult to directly make the door frame side circular. Also, in the method of assembling another pre-shaped part or material or substituting with a cushioning material, etc., the manufacturing process increases and the manufacturing cost also swells. Furthermore, in terms of appearance, since the circular part is visible from the front when the door is closed, there is a sense of incongruity as a door for normal living spaces, and it is not practical.

[0008] Also, as another method, it has been proposed to keep it below 5 mm by bringing the rotation axis of the latch, such as a hidden latch, as close as possible to the interface between the frame and the door. However, with this method, although the gap generated above and below the axis can be maintained below 5 mm, the portions where the other frames and the door approach when closed become more than 5 mm when the door is opened, and it was not possible to achieve a gap design of 5 to 13 mm on the hanging side of the door, including the state during the opening and closing of the door described above.

[0009] Furthermore, as a method for solving the problems in appearance, processing, and manufacturing, which are the drawbacks of the door with a semi-circular hanging side as described above, for example, a finger pinching prevention design for an entrance door or the like has been proposed, in which the gap on the hanging side of the door is covered with a hidden member composed of, for example, an L-shaped or U-shaped frame. However, simply covering the gap on the hanging side was not sufficient to completely realize the gap design because when the door was opened more than 90 degrees, the door would contact the frame. In addition, since additional parts and exterior parts, etc., which are hidden members for covering the gap, are required, the assembly process and manufacturing cost increase, and since the hidden member always exists on the hanging side of the door, the appearance and look of the door are impaired.

Patent Document 1

Summary of the Invention

Problems to be Solved by the Invention

[0011] As described above, the finger pinching prevention technologies for doors proposed so far, including the method disclosed in Patent Document 1 described above, have room for further improvement. In order to solve the problems of conventional door structures and finger pinch prevention technologies for doors, as a result of intensive research, the inventor of the present application, while considering the appearance, ease of manufacture, and ease of construction, came up with the present invention related to a finger pinch prevention structure that can always ensure a gap of a predetermined distance (for example, 13 mm) or more on the hanging side of the door leaf and does not cause serious harm to the human body even if a finger is pinched.

[0012] That is, the present invention was proposed to solve the above problems. Without the need for exterior parts or additional parts other than the door leaf, frame, and hinge that make up the hinged door, by using only a simple structure, a constant gap of a certain size or more is always formed between the door leaf and the frame in any of the open state, closed state, and opening / closing operation of the door, thereby reliably preventing finger pinching of the door, without damaging the appearance or exterior of the door, and providing a door with a simple and low-cost finger pinch prevention structure that is excellent in safety and reliability.

Means for Solving the Problems

[0013] To achieve the above object, the present invention is a door constituting a hinged door, comprising a door leaf, a hinge that rotatably supports the door leaf, and a frame to which the hinge is fixed, wherein the frame has a groove with a predetermined depth in which the hinge is fixed, the hinge has a door-side fixing portion fixed to the door leaf, a groove-side fixing portion fixed to the bottom of the groove, and a continuous portion that is continuous from the groove-side fixing portion toward the door leaf side and rotatably engages with the door-side fixing portion, and in a state where the door leaf is closed, a gap of a predetermined distance or more is always formed between the door leaf on the hanging side and the frame.

Effects of the Invention

[0014] According to the present invention, without the need for exterior parts or additional parts other than the door leaf, frame, and hinge that make up the hinged door, by using only a simple structure, a constant gap of a certain size or more can always be formed between the door leaf and the frame in any of the open state, closed state, and opening / closing operation of the door. Accordingly, it is possible to surely prevent finger pinching of the door, without impairing the appearance or exterior of the door, etc., and to provide a door having a finger pinching prevention structure that is simple, low-cost, and excellent in safety and reliability.

Modes for Carrying Out the Invention

[0016] Hereinafter, with reference to the drawings attached to this specification, embodiments in which a door having a finger pinching prevention structure according to the present invention is embodied will be described to facilitate understanding of the present invention. FIG. 1 shows a door 10 having a finger pinching prevention structure according to an embodiment of the present invention, where (a) is a plan view of the entire door, and (b) is an enlarged plan view of the main part of the door shown in (a). FIG. 2 shows a door having a finger pinching prevention structure according to the present embodiment. (a) is a perspective view of the door with the door leaf closed, and (b) is a perspective view of the door with the door leaf open.

[0017] As shown in these figures, the door 10 having a finger pinching prevention structure according to the present embodiment is a door structure that constitutes a hinged door, including a door leaf 20, a hinge 30 that rotatably supports the door leaf 20, and a frame 40 to which the hinge 30 is fixed. Further, a buffer member 50 is provided on the hanging end side (hinge side) of the door leaf 20 of the door 10, and a latch lock 60 for holding the door 10 in a closed state is provided on the frame 40 on the leading end side of the door leaf 20.

[0018] And the door 10 of the present embodiment configured with the above-described respective parts is provided with a groove 41 on the frame side so that the gap in the state where the door is closed is always at least a predetermined distance (for example, 13 mm) or more in the frame 40 that fixes the door leaf 20 and the hinge 30, and is configured to be able to be fitted and fixed in the groove 41. That is, the shape of the frame-side part of the hinge 30 is configured to include a part along the groove bottom of the frame 40 and a bent part up to the shaft part that is rotatably fitted into the pipe part of the door-side part of the hinge 30. Thereby, even if there are human fingers on the hanging end side of the door 10, a gap and interval larger than a finger are always ensured in any of the open state, closed state, and opening / closing operation state of the door leaf 20, and it is possible to surely prevent a serious hazard from being applied to the human body. Specifically, each part of the door 10 according to the present embodiment is configured as follows.

[0019] [Door leaf 20] The door leaf 20 is a plate-like member disposed inside the frame 40 (inside the frame), and is attached to the frame 40 via the hinge 30 so as to be rotatable and openable / closable on the hanging end side of the door 10. Further, on the leading end side of the door 10, the door leaf 20 is configured to be held with respect to the frame 40 in a state where the door 10 is closed via the latch lock 60.

[0020] Although not particularly illustrated in this embodiment, between the door 20 and the frame 40, as a means for preventing the rapid closing of the door 20, a door closer, a door damper, or the like can be installed. The door closer is a means / device for controlling the operation of the door 20 throughout the entire operating range of the door 20. The door damper is a means / device for controlling the movement of the door 20 near the closing time to a slow movement. Such a door closer or door damper can be applied and installed for controlling the operation of the door 20 of the door 10 in this embodiment. Note that as the door closer / door damper itself, a known door closer, a door damper, or the like can be arbitrarily selected and adopted / installed.

[0021] [Frame 40] In this embodiment, the frame 40 is composed of a pair of opposing frame bodies in the height (vertical) direction that fix the door 20 and the hinge 30, and a frame body in the width (horizontal) direction that is installed between the upper ends of this pair of frame bodies. On the frame body in the height direction on the suspension side of the door 10 of the frame 40, a groove 41 having a predetermined depth is formed along the height direction facing the inside of the door 10. The hinge 30 is fixed to the bottom of this groove 41 at two or more predetermined positions on the upper and lower parts of the door 10. Note that the number of hinges 30 can be arbitrarily set according to the size and weight of the door 10 / door 20, etc. For example, in this embodiment, as shown in FIG. 2, the hinge 30 is provided at two positions on the upper and lower parts of the door 10. Also, for example, when the height of the door 20 is high, when the door 20 is heavy, or when the opening and closing stress such as a door closer causes stress that deforms the hinge horizontally, the hinge 30 can be provided at three or more positions.

[0022] In this way, by providing the groove 41 on the suspension side of the frame 40 and arranging / fixing the hinge 30 inside (at the bottom) of the groove 41, as shown in FIG. 1, in the state where the door 20 is closed, a gap of a predetermined distance or more is always formed between the door 20 on the suspension side of the door 10 and the frame 40. As a result, the door 10 ensures a distance or gap of at least a predetermined amount between the door 20 and the frame 40 from the closed state of the door 20 to the intermediate state of opening and closing and the fully opened state. Even if a person's finger is present between the door 20 and the frame 40, the finger will not be pinched.

[0023] [hinge] The hinge 30 is a means for supporting and fixing the door 20 to be openable and closable with respect to the frame 40 on the suspension side of the door 10, and is a metal member also called a hinge. Figs. 3 and 4 show an example of the hinge 30 according to the present embodiment. In these figures, (a) is a six-sided view (excluding the bottom view) in the assembled state, and (b) is a perspective view in the disassembled state. As shown in these figures, the hinge 30 according to the present embodiment includes a door-side fixing portion 31, a groove-side fixing portion 32, and a continuous portion 33.

[0024] The door-side fixing portion 31 is composed of a plate-like member (vane) fixed to the end face on the suspension side of the door 20, and is fixed along the end face of the door 20 by screws, nails, etc. The groove-side fixing portion 32 is a plate-like member (vane) fixed to the bottom of the groove 41 of the frame 40, and is fixed along the bottom surface of the groove 41 by screws, nails, etc. in the same manner as the door-side fixing portion 31. The continuous portion 33 functions as a spacer that continues from the groove-side fixing portion 32 toward the door side. At the edge of the continuous portion 33 on the door side, it is rotatably engaged with the door-side fixing portion 31 via a pipe or a pin (shaft portion).

[0025] By fixing such a hinge 30 to the end face on the suspension side of the door 20 and the groove 41 of the frame 40, as described above, in the state where the door 20 is closed, a gap of at least a predetermined distance is always formed between the door 20 and the frame 40 on the suspension side of the door 10.

[0026] [Gap (predetermined distance)] Here, in the state where the door 20 is closed, the gap (predetermined distance) between the door 20 and the frame 40 on the suspension side of the door 10 is preferably, for example, "13 mm or more", particularly "more than 13 mm". As described above, in the "Product Safety Guidelines for Interior Folding Doors" published by the Japan Building Materials and Housing Equipment Industry Association, regarding the gap of the door, it is stated that "a gap of 5 to 13 mm should not be provided at the relevant location including the state during opening and closing". In addition, in the "Guidelines for Child-Friendly Housing" prepared by the Consumer Life and Safety Section of the Consumer Life Department of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Bureau of Urban Development, it is stated that "the structure on the suspension side should be such that there is no gap (5 mm or more and less than 13 mm) where a child could get their finger pinched, including the state during the opening and closing of the door". Furthermore, also in the certification criteria of the Excellent Housing Parts Certification System managed by the Better Living General Incorporated Foundation, regarding the gap on the suspension side of the door, it is stated that "the structure should be such that there is no gap (5 mm or more and less than 13 mm) where a child could get their finger pinched, including the state during the opening and closing of the door".

[0027] Therefore, in the present embodiment, in the state where the door 20 is closed, the frame 40 and the hinge 30 are configured such that the distance / gap between the door 20 and the frame 40 on the suspension side of the door 10 is always "13 mm or more". For example, as shown in Fig. 1(b), in the state where the door 20 is closed, the dimensions of the groove 41 and the hinge 30 are set such that the distance between the bottom of the groove 41 of the frame 40 and the opposing surface of the hinge 30 (door-side fixing portion 31) fixed to the end face on the suspension side of the door 20 is 13 mm.

[0028] Specifically, by setting the dimensions such that the continuous portion 33 that functions as a spacer between the door-side fixing portion 31 and the groove-side fixing portion 32 of the hinge 30 fits within the depth (height) of the groove 41 of the frame 40 (see Fig. 1(b)), in the state where the door 20 is closed, the distance / gap between the door 20 and the frame 40 on the suspension side of the door 10 can be configured to always be "13 mm". As a result, the distance between the door 20 on the hanging side and the frame 40 becomes the minimum (13 mm) when the door 20 is in the closed state. Therefore, when the door 20 is in the open state, even during the opening and closing operation, the distance can always be set to be equal to or greater than a predetermined distance (13 mm).

[0029] More specifically, in the present embodiment, as shown in FIG. 1(b), when the thickness of the door 20 of the door 10 is "36.0 mm", the following respective parts are set to the following dimensions. · Distance between the bottom surface (surface) of the groove 41 and the end surface of the door 20: "14.7 mm" · Distance between the groove 41 and each end (corner) of the door 20: "13.2 mm" · Distance between the bottom surface (surface) of the groove 41 and the surface of the hinge 30 (door-side fixing part 31): "13.0 mm" As a result, the distance between the door 20 on the hanging side and the frame 40 becomes a distance of "13 mm" when the door 20 is in the closed state, and this distance is the minimum value. When the door 20 is opened, the distance between the door 20 and the frame 40 can always be set to be equal to or greater than a predetermined distance (13 mm) including during the opening and closing operation.

[0030] Note that the hinge 30 of the present embodiment as described above can be configured by, for example, a "two-tube type" hinge or a "flag type" hinge, similar to known hinges. As shown in FIG. 3, the two-tube type hinge has a structure in which each plate (blade) constituting the door-side fixing part 31 and the groove-side fixing part 32 is formed to have the same shape and the same size, and the two are arranged to face each other. Such a two-tube type hinge is a standard hinge composed of a shaft and blades. The left and right blades (door-side fixing part 31 and groove-side fixing part 32) can be removed and attached to the door and the frame separately. The shaft can be easily inserted and removed, and the hanging operation can be easily performed.

[0031] As shown in FIG. 4, the flag type hinge has a structure in which each plate (blade) constituting the door-side fixing part 31 and the groove-side fixing part 32 is arranged above and below the door 10. Such a blade-type hinge is a hinge of the shaft-mounted type. Similar to the two-pipe type hinge, the left and right (upper and lower) blades (door-side fixing part 31 and groove-side fixing part 32) can be removed and attached separately to the door and the frame. The shaft can be easily inserted and removed, and the hanging operation can be easily performed. Thus, as long as the hinge 30 according to this embodiment includes the door-side fixing part 31, the groove-side fixing part 32, and the continuous part 33 that functions as a spacer between them, any configuration similar to the known hinge can be arbitrarily selected.

[0032] [Buffer member] The buffer member 50 is provided as a buffer means and cushion member disposed between the door 20 and the frame 40 on the hanging side of the door 10. For example, the buffer member 50 can be constituted by a cushion material having buffering properties such as sponge, rubber, and synthetic resin. Specifically, as shown in FIG. 1, the buffer member 50 can be disposed along the height (vertical) direction of the door 20 on the side surface (end surface) of the door 20 facing the gap on the hanging side of the door 10, for example, over the entire length in the height direction of the door 20.

[0033] Also, although not particularly shown in the drawings, the buffer member 50 can also be disposed along the longitudinal (vertical) direction of the groove 41 on the bottom surface of the groove 41 of the frame 40 facing the gap on the hanging side of the door 10, for example, over the entire length in the height direction of the frame 40. That is, as long as the buffer member 50 is disposed between the door 20 and the frame 40 on the hanging side of the door 10, it can be disposed and fixed on at least one of the door side and the frame side. By providing such a buffer member 50, even if a person's finger exists on the hanging side of the door 10, it will be protected and buffered by the buffer member 50. For example, even if the person has large fingers or body, it can prevent the fingers from being injured by the end surfaces of the door 20 or the frame 40.

[0034] [Latch lock] As shown in FIG. 1(a), the latch lock 60 is a latch means for holding the door 20 against the frame 40 in a closed state of the door 10 on the leading end side of the door 10. With this latch lock 60, the door 20 can be held in a closed state, so that the distance between the door 20 and the frame 40 on the hanging side can be maintained and ensured as a predetermined minimum value (13 mm). The latch lock 60 is, for example, a spring-type latch composed of a fitting that elastically protrudes from the door end face provided on the door 20 opened by a doorknob or the like, and a latch receiving part provided on the frame 40 side that engages with the fitting. Known latch means such as a magnet latch lock that fixes the door 20 and the frame 40 with magnetic force (magnet) can be arbitrarily selected and adopted.

[0035] Here, in this embodiment, as the latch lock 60 shown in Fig. 1(a), it is preferable to use a magnet latch lock that holds the door 20 and the frame 40 in a closed state by magnetic force. The magnet latch lock is different from a normal latch lock in that the latch (a part that retracts by operating a lever handle or the like attached to the door tip) that holds the closing of the door is always in a protruding state during rotation. By using a magnet, it has a mechanism and structure that protrudes only when the door is closed. Therefore, there is no protruding part when the door is open, and there are no failures or defects in the protruding mechanism, and the aesthetic appearance of the door is not impaired. In addition, in the magnet latch lock, since there is no need for a part for sliding the latch, a so-called "lip", on the latch receiving part provided on the frame side, there is no protruding part on the frame side either.

[0036] Therefore, since there are no protruding parts on both the door and the frame, it is excellent in terms of safety, and the degree of freedom and versatility in layout design are increased. It can be preferably adopted and applied as a desirable part for the latch lock of the door 10 in this embodiment. Of course, the latch lock of the door 10 in this embodiment is not limited to only the magnet-type latch lock. It goes without saying that known latch locks and latch mechanisms such as normal mechanical-type and spring-type latch locks can be arbitrarily selected and adopted.

[0037] [Opening and closing operation of the door] Next, with reference to FIG. 5, the opening and closing operation of the door having the finger pinch prevention structure according to the present embodiment configured as described above will be described. FIG. 5 is an explanatory diagram showing the opening and closing operation of a door having a finger pinch prevention structure according to the present embodiment in comparison with a general door structure.

[0038] First, as shown in FIG. 5(a), in the door 10 having the finger pinch prevention structure of the present embodiment, when the door 20 is opened, the hinge 30 has the door-side fixing portion 31 and the groove-side fixing portion 32 deployed at approximately 90 degrees via the shaft portion, and the end face on the hanging side of the door 20 and the inner surface of the frame 40 (the bottom surface of the groove 41) are also in a state of being deployed and separated at approximately 90 degrees. In this state, as shown in FIG. 5(a), even if a person's finger 100 is near the end face on the hanging side of the door 20 or the groove 41 of the frame 40, there is no narrow gap or the like that could be pinched. Therefore, even if a person's finger 100 is between the door 20 and the frame 40, the hand or finger will not be pinched between the door 20 and the frame 40.

[0039] Next, when the door 20 is closed, the hinge 30 is in a state where the door-side fixing portion 31 and the groove-side fixing portion 32 are close to and facing each other via the shaft portion. It expands approximately 90 degrees via the shaft portion, and the end face on the hanging side of the door 20 and the groove 41 of the frame 40 are also in a state of being deployed and separated at approximately 90 degrees. Even in this state, as shown in FIG. 5(a), between the door 20 and the frame 40 on the hanging side of the door 10, that is, between the door-side fixing portion 31 and the groove-side fixing portion 32 of the opposing hinge 30, the groove 41 and the continuous portion 33 function as a spacer, so that a gap of a predetermined distance (for example, 13 mm) or more is always formed. Therefore, even if a person's finger is between the door 20 and the frame 40, the finger 100 will only exist in the gap of the predetermined distance (for example, 13 mm), and the hand or finger will not be pinched between the door 20 and the frame 40, nor will it cause pain.

[0040] On the other hand, in the case of a general door structure, as shown in Fig. 5(b), first, when the door leaf is open, the end face on the hanging side of the door leaf and the inner surface of the frame are greatly expanded and separated, so in this state, a person's finger will not be pinched between the door leaf and the frame. On the other hand, when the door is closed, the hinge rotates through the shaft portion, and the plates (vanes) on the door side and the frame side come into contact and face each other. In this state, as shown in Fig. 5(b), between the door leaf and the frame on the hanging side of the door, that is, the two plates of the hinge that come into contact, will come into contact without a gap. Therefore, when a person's finger is near or between the door leaf and the frame in this state, hands, fingers, clothes, etc. will be pinched between the two plates of the hinge that come into contact and between the door leaf and the frame, which will only cause pain at worst, but there is also a risk of injury or even finger fracture or amputation in the worst case.

[0041] As described above, according to the door having a finger pinching prevention structure according to the present embodiment, only by the simple structures of the door leaf 20, the hinge 30, and the frame 40 itself that constitute the opening door, a gap of at least a predetermined distance (for example, 13 mm) can always be ensured on the hanging side of the door leaf 20, and there will always be a gap of at least a predetermined distance between the door leaf 20 and the frame 40 throughout the opening and closing operation of the door leaf 20. Therefore, in the door structure according to the present embodiment, finger pinching of the door can be reliably prevented, and there is no need for exterior parts or additional parts other than the door leaf 20, the hinge 30, and the frame 40, so that the appearance, ease of manufacture, and ease of construction of the door can be maintained and improved. As a result, even if there is a finger on the hanging side of the door, a finger pinching prevention structure with excellent safety and reliability that does not cause serious harm to the human body can be realized simply and at low cost.

[0042] As described above, the preferred embodiments of the present invention have been shown and described, but it goes without saying that the present invention is not limited to the above-described embodiments, and various modifications can be made within the scope of the present invention. For example, in the above-described embodiment, as the opening door constituting the door having the finger pinch prevention structure according to the present invention, a single-opening door was taken as an example for explanation (see FIG. 2). However, the door according to the present invention is not limited to a single-opening door, and can be widely applied to any door structure in terms of form, configuration, and size as long as it includes a hinge, a frame, and a door leaf.
