Description

Technical Field

[0001] The present invention relates to an interior structure of a vehicle equipped with a camera for imaging the interior of the vehicle cabin.

Background Art

[0002] In recent years, it has been desired by users to image the state of the interior of the vehicle cabin with a camera and confirm or record the video on a monitor. As an interior structure of a vehicle corresponding to this demand, there is known one in which a camera is installed on the ceiling portion of the vehicle cabin (see Patent Documents 1 and 2). In the interior structures described in Patent Documents 1 and 2, a camera for interior imaging is installed in a roof console disposed in the central region in the vehicle width direction of the ceiling portion on the front seat side.

[0003] In the interior structure described in Patent Document 1, the camera is installed on the flat surface of the console panel facing the interior of the vehicle cabin of the roof console so that the imaging unit faces downward.

[0004] Further, in the interior structure described in Patent Document 2, a bulging wall that bulges downward is provided at the front end portion of the roof console, and a camera is installed on the bulging wall so that the imaging unit faces the lower rear side of the interior of the vehicle cabin.

Summary of the Invention

Problems to be Solved by the Invention

[0006] However, in the interior structure described in Patent Document 1, since the camera is installed on the lower surface of the console panel so that the imaging unit faces downward, it is difficult to reliably capture a wide range of the interior of the vehicle by the camera. That is, in the interior structure described in Patent Document 1, since the camera is installed at an upper position near the front seat and faces downward, it is difficult to reliably capture a wide range of the rear region of the interior of the vehicle.

[0007] On the other hand, in the interior structure described in Patent Document 2, since the camera is installed on the bulging wall on the front end side of the roof console so that it faces the lower part on the rear side of the interior of the vehicle, a relatively wide range from the front part to the rear region of the interior of the vehicle can be imaged by the camera. However, in the case of the interior structure described in Patent Document 2, since a bulging wall that bulges downward is provided at the front end of the roof console, it is likely to cause a deterioration in the appearance from both inside and outside the vehicle.

[0008] Also, in the interior structure described in Patent Document 2, since the bulging wall on which the camera is installed is located below the general surface below the roof console, in a vehicle where it is difficult to sufficiently secure the interior height, the front seat occupant and the seat (seat back) may get in the way and it may not be possible to reliably image the rear region of the interior of the vehicle.

[0009] Therefore, the present invention aims to provide an interior structure of a vehicle that can reliably image a wide range of the interior of the vehicle by a camera and can also maintain a good appearance from both inside and outside the vehicle.

Means for Solving the Problems

[0010] In order to solve the above problems, the interior structure of the vehicle according to the present invention adopts the following configuration. That is, the interior structure of the vehicle according to the present invention includes a roof console (for example, the roof console 10 in the embodiment) disposed in the central region in the vehicle width direction of the ceiling portion in the vehicle interior. The roof console includes a console body (for example, the console body 13 in the embodiment) that mounts an operating device for a map lamp (for example, the map lamp 12 in the embodiment) that irradiates the vicinity of the front seats in the vehicle interior, and a console panel (for example, the console panel 14 in the embodiment) that covers the vehicle interior side of the console body. The console panel is provided with a recessed portion (for example, the recessed portion 16 in the embodiment) that is recessed upward with respect to the arrangement surface of the map lamp of the console panel. A camera (for example, the camera 30 in the embodiment) is disposed at a position on the front side of the vehicle within the recessed portion such that the imaging direction faces downward toward the rear side of the vehicle interior.

[0011] With the above configuration, the camera for imaging the vehicle interior is disposed at a position on the front side of the vehicle within a recessed portion above the arrangement surface of the map lamp of the console panel. The camera disposed within the recessed portion is installed such that the imaging direction faces downward toward the rear side of the vehicle interior. Therefore, at a position higher and in front of the arrangement surface of the map lamp, the vehicle interior can be imaged by the camera. As a result, it becomes possible to reliably image a wide range of the vehicle interior by the camera. Further, since the camera is disposed within the recessed portion provided in the console panel, the camera and its housing portion do not bulge downward from the console panel. Therefore, the appearance from both inside and outside of the vehicle can be maintained well.

[0012] The camera may image the vehicle interior such that the left and right side walls (for example, the side walls 16s in the embodiment) of the recessed portion are reflected at the four corners as flares (for example, the flares 55 in the embodiment).

[0013] In this case, although flares are caused by the left and right side walls of the recessed portion at the four corners, which is less inconvenient for visual confirmation of the vehicle interior, it becomes possible to install the camera at a position more above the front side of the vehicle in the recessed portion. Therefore, it becomes possible to reliably image a wide range of the vehicle interior from a position more above the vehicle.

[0014] The image captured by the camera may be corrected for distortion by an image correction unit (for example, the image processing circuit 60 of the embodiment) so that the vignetting disappears or is reduced.

[0015] In this case, the distortion of the image captured by the camera can be eliminated by the correction process by the image correction unit, and the vignetting at the four corners can be made to disappear or reduced. Therefore, when this configuration is adopted, the discomfort of the image visually recognized through a monitor or the like can be further reduced.

[0016] It is desirable that the lower end of the imaging unit of the camera be disposed at a position higher than the lower end of the light emitting unit of the map lamp (for example, the light emitting unit 12a of the embodiment).

[0017] In this case, the shadow of the camera itself formed by the irradiation of light from the light emitting unit does not appear in the image of the camera. Therefore, when this configuration is adopted, a good image without the shadow of the camera being reflected can be obtained even when the light is irradiated by the map lamp.

[0018] The light emitting units of the map lamp may be respectively disposed on one side and the other side in the vehicle width direction of the recessed portion of the console panel, and second cameras (for example, the TOF camera 50 of the embodiment) for imaging the occupants of the corresponding left and right front seats may be respectively disposed outside the light emitting units on one side and the other side of the console panel in the vehicle width direction.

[0019] In this case, it becomes possible to dispose the second cameras for imaging the occupants sitting in the driver's seat and the front passenger's seat at desirable positions close to the occupants. Further, in this configuration, since each second camera is disposed outside the light emitting unit of the map lamp in the vehicle width direction, the installation portion of the second camera does not appear in the image of the camera for indoor imaging. Therefore, when this configuration is adopted, even if the second camera is disposed at a desirable position for imaging the front seat occupants, the interior of the vehicle can be imaged well.

Effects of the Invention

[0020] In the interior structure of the vehicle according to the present invention, a camera is disposed at a position on the front side of the vehicle inside a recess provided in the console panel so that the imaging direction faces downward on the rear side of the vehicle interior. Therefore, when the interior structure of the vehicle according to the present invention is adopted, a wide range in the vehicle interior can be surely imaged by the camera, and the appearance from both inside and outside of the vehicle can be maintained favorably.

[0022] Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. In the drawings, an arrow FR indicating the front of the vehicle, an arrow UP indicating the upper side of the vehicle, and an arrow LH indicating the left side of the vehicle are marked.

[0023] FIG. 1 is a plan view of a vehicle 1 of the embodiment, and FIG. 2 is a perspective view of the ceiling portion of the interior of the vehicle 1 as viewed from the rear lower side. Reference numeral 2 in FIG. 1 is the roof panel of vehicle 1, and reference numerals 3f and 3r are the front seat and the rear seat installed in the interior of vehicle 1. Reference numeral 10 in FIG. 2 is a roof console disposed in the central region in the vehicle width direction of the ceiling portion above the front seat in the vehicle interior, and reference numeral 11 is a sun visor disposed above the front seat at the ceiling portion of the interior.

[0024] FIG. 3 is a cross-sectional view taken along line III-III of FIG. 2, and FIG. 4 is a top view of the roof console 10. As shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, the roof console 10 includes a console main body 13 and a plate-like console panel 14 that covers the vehicle interior side of the console main body 13. The console main body 13 has a map lamp 12 and an operating device (switch mechanism, operating circuit, etc.) of an emergency switch 15 (see FIGS. 2 and 3) mounted in a housing made of resin or metal. The console panel 14 is formed of a high-density hard resin.

[0025] As shown in FIG. 4, the top view shape of the console panel 14 is a shape in which a substantially semi-circular shape is combined with one side of a substantially square shape. The substantially square portion of the console panel 14 is disposed on the vehicle front side, and the substantially semi-circular portion is disposed on the vehicle rear side. Hereinafter, for convenience of explanation, the portion having a square top view is referred to as a "main portion region 14m", and the portion having a substantially semi-circular top view is referred to as a "rear extension region 14r".

[0026] The console main body 13 and the console panel 14 are fixed to the roof panel 2 by clip fixing, bolt fastening, etc. in the central region in the vehicle width direction of the ceiling portion of the interior. The roof panel 2 is composed of a roof panel outer 2o and a roof panel inner 2i that are joined to each other to form a closed cross-sectional structure. The console main body 13 and the console panel 14 are fixed to the roof panel inner 2i.

[0027] Also, as shown in FIG. 2, roof linings 4A and 4B (interior materials) made of urethane, foamed resin, etc. are arranged in the peripheral area of the console panel 14 on the ceiling portion. The lower surface of the console panel 14 is exposed to the indoor side through the opening 5 of the roof lining 4A.

[0028] In the main part area 14m of the console panel 14, a recessed portion 16 is formed in which the central area is recessed upward with respect to the peripheral edge. The shape of the lower surface view of the recessed portion 16 is a substantially similar shape obtained by reducing the outer shape of the console panel 14. That is, the shape of the lower surface view of the recessed portion 16 is a shape in which a substantially semicircular portion is combined with the side on the rear side of the substantially square portion. An inclined surface that slopes upward from the front side to the rear side of the vehicle is provided on the front side of the substantially square portion of the recessed portion 16. An opening 17 (see FIG. 3) is formed in this inclined surface portion, and a cover glass 32 (transparent resin panel) that covers the front (rear side of the vehicle) of the imaging unit 31 (lens) of the camera 30 described later is attached to the opening 17.

[0029] On the upper wall 16u (the wall that becomes the bottom of the recess) of the recessed portion 16, the operation portion of the above-mentioned emergency switch 15 is arranged. The operation portion of the emergency switch 15 is arranged so as to penetrate the upper wall 16u of the recessed portion 16, and the switch main body portion (not shown) on the console main body 13 side can be operated. The emergency switch 15 turns on the switch main body portion by pushing the operation portion upward. When the switch main body portion of the emergency switch 15 is turned on, it is connected, for example, to an emergency support center or the like by communication.

[0030] Also, as shown in FIG. 2, the peripheral area of the recessed portion 16 of the console panel 14 is a first base wall 18 that surrounds the recessed portion 16 in a substantially U shape. The lower surface of the first base wall 18 is formed substantially flat. A second base wall 19, whose lower surface height is slightly higher than that of the first base wall 18, is arranged in the peripheral area of the first base wall 18. The second base wall 19 is formed so as to surround the outside of the first base wall 18 in a substantially U shape. On the front side of the vehicle of the first base wall 18 and the second base wall 19, a front base wall 20, whose lower surface is substantially at the same height as the lower surface of the first base wall 18, is arranged.

[0031] As shown in FIG. 2, light emitting portions 12a of map lamps 12 for the driver's seat and the passenger seat are respectively arranged at the front and rear extending portions on one side in the vehicle width direction and the front and rear extending portions on the other side of the substantially U-shaped first base wall 18. Each light emitting portion 12a is capable of irradiating light downward on the driver's seat side and the passenger seat side respectively. In the present embodiment, the lower surfaces of the left and right front and rear extending portions of the first base wall 18 are the arrangement surfaces of the light emitting portions 12a of the map lamp 12. The recessed portion 16 of the console panel 14 is formed to be recessed upward with respect to the arrangement surface of the light emitting portion 12a.

[0032] As shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, an in-vehicle imaging camera 30 is arranged at the front end position (front side position of the vehicle) in the recessed portion 16 of the console panel 14. The camera 30 is fixedly installed on the roof panel 2, the console main body 13, etc. via a bracket (not shown).

[0033] Here, the imaging unit 31 of the camera 30 is arranged so that the imaging direction faces the lower rear side in the vehicle interior through the opening 17 at the front of the recessed portion 16 of the console panel 14. Further, the camera 30 is arranged such that at least the central position on the front side of the imaging unit 31 (the central position on the front surface of the lens) is located above the lower surface of the above-described first base wall 18 of the console panel 14. Further, the central position on the front side of the imaging unit 31 of the camera 30 (the central position on the front surface of the lens) is arranged above the light emitting portion 12a of the map lamp 12 arranged on the first base wall 18. Further, the lower end of the imaging unit 31 of the camera 30 is located above the lower end of the light emitting portion 12a of the map lamp 12.

[0034] On the upper surface side of the curved portion on the rear side of the substantially U-shaped first base wall 18, as shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, an exciter 40 (sound exciter) is installed. The exciter 40 is attached to the upper surface of the substantially semi-circular rear extension region 14r of the console panel 14. The exciter 40 includes a voice coil 41 that generates vibrations in response to an audio signal input from the outside and a magnetic circuit (not shown). The vibrations generated by the exciter 40 cause the substantially flat portion of the console panel 14 (mainly the rear extension region 14r) to vibrate as a diaphragm. Thus, the vibrations generated in the substantially flat portion of the console panel 14 can directly affect the indoor space as acoustic vibrations.

[0035] Also, as shown in FIG. 3, wirings 42a, 42b such as signal wirings drawn from the voice coil 41 of the exciter 40 are fixed to the lower surface of the roof panel 2 (roof panel inner 2i) via fixing clips 43 or the like at the middle portions thereof.

[0036] FIG. 5 is a perspective view of a portion of the roof console 10 corresponding to the view from the V arrow in FIG. 4. As shown in FIG. 5, locking claws 21a, 21b project from the front surface and the front side surface of the housing of the console body 13, respectively. Also, engaging pieces 22a, 22b project at positions corresponding to the locking claws 21a, 21b on the console body 13 side in the main region 14m of the console panel 14. Each of the engaging pieces 22a, 22b projects upward from the upper surface of the console panel 14, and an engaging hole 23 penetrating in the plate thickness direction is formed in the protruding portion thereof. The locking claws 21a, 21b on the console body 13 side are engaged with the engaging holes 23 of the corresponding engaging pieces 22a, 22b on the console panel 14 side. The front portion of the main region 14m of the console panel 14 is fixed to the console body 13 by engaging the locking claws 21a, 21b with the corresponding engaging holes 23.

[0037] Also, as shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, resin fixing clip portions 24 project from the upper surfaces on the left and right of the front side of the console body 13. The fixing clip portions 24 are fitted into fixing holes (not shown) formed in the roof panel 2 (roof panel inner 2i). The front side of the console body 13 is thereby fixed to the roof panel 2 (roof panel inner 2i).

[0038] Also, at positions spaced apart left and right at the rear of the main part region 14m of the console panel 14, a pair of support protrusions 25 projecting upward from the upper surface of the console panel 14 project. At the upper part of each support protrusion 25, a resin fixing clip portion 26 projects. The fixing clip portion 26 is fitted into fixing holes (not shown) formed in the roof panel 2 (roof panel inner 2i). The left and right rear parts of the main part region 14m of the console panel 14 are thereby fixed to the roof panel 2 (roof panel inner 2i).

[0039] Here, as described above, the front and rear of the main part region 14m of the console panel 14 are fixed to the console body 13 and the roof panel 2 (roof panel inner 2i) respectively, but the rear extension region 14r having a substantially semi-circular top view is not fixed to the console body 13 or the roof panel 2. That is, the rear extension region 14r to which the exciter 40 is attached is a free end not restricted by the console body 13 or the roof panel 2.

[0040] In addition, on the upper surface of the main body region 14m of the console panel 14, at positions on both the left and right sides of the console main body 13 fixed to the upper surface, TOF (Time Of Flight) cameras 50 for acquiring distance information to the subject are arranged. The TOF camera 50 irradiates the imaging target with infrared light, and can recognize the shape and behavior of the subject by calculating the time until the infrared light returns. The TOF cameras 50 arranged on both the left and right sides of the console main body 13 are installed so as to be able to identify the faces and behaviors of the passengers sitting in the driver's seat and the passenger seat respectively. In the present embodiment, the TOF camera 50 constitutes a second camera that images the passengers in the corresponding front seats on the left and right. Note that reference numeral 51 in FIG. 2 is an infrared light input / output window provided at a position outside the vehicle width direction of the light emitting portion 12a of the left and right map lamps 12 in the console panel 14. A cover that allows the transmission of infrared light is attached to the input / output window 51.

[0041] FIG. 6 is a schematic cross-sectional view of the interior of the vehicle for explaining the installation position and imaging range (angle of view) of the camera 30. The installation position and imaging range of the camera 30 arranged at the front of the roof console 10 are set so as to satisfy the following conditions (a) to (d). (a) In the captured image of the camera 30, at least the top of the head of the large-sized passenger PL sitting in the front seat is included (see the straight line L1 in FIG. 6). (b) In the captured image of the camera 30, at least the tip of the nose of the small-sized passenger PS sitting in the front seat is included (see the straight line L2 in FIG. 6). (c) The rear view visible to the driver through the rearview mirror 53 is not obstructed by the camera 30 and its installation part (see the straight line L3 in FIG. 6). (d) In the captured image of the camera 30, the face of the passenger in the rear seat enters through the seat back of the front seat 3f.

[0042] FIG. 7 is a schematic configuration diagram of an in-vehicle video display system 100 using the in-vehicle imaging camera 30. The in-vehicle image display system 100 includes a camera 30, an image processing circuit 60 (image correction unit) that corrects an image captured by the camera 30, and a display 61 that displays the image corrected by the image processing circuit 60. The display 61 is installed, for example, on an instrument panel or the like in front of the front seat.

[0043] FIG. 8 shows an image (upper image) of the interior captured by the camera 30 and an image (lower image) after correction processing is performed on the captured image by the image processing circuit 60. Note that the reference symbol P in FIG. 8 denotes passengers sitting in the front seat 3f and the rear seat 3r in the vehicle interior. The camera 30 is installed at the front position within the recess 16 of the console panel 14 as described above. The camera 30 captures an image using a wide-angle lens such that the left and right side walls 16s (see FIG. 2) of the recess 16 are reflected as vignetting 55 at the four corners of the image (see the upper figure in FIG. 8). As a result, although vignetting 55 occurs at the four corners in the captured image, a wide area of the interior is within the angle of view.

[0044] The image thus captured is subjected to correction processing by the image processing circuit 60. In the correction processing by the image processing circuit 60, distortion in the image is corrected, and the vignetting 55 at the four corners of the image is eliminated or reduced. When the image is processed in this way, the distortion in the image is reduced, and as a result of the elimination or reduction of the vignetting 55 at the four corners, a good image without a visual sense of incongruity is obtained.

[0045] As described above, in the interior structure of the vehicle according to the present embodiment, the in-vehicle imaging camera 30 is disposed at a position on the front side of the vehicle within the recess 16 above the arrangement surface of the map lamp 12 of the console panel 14, and the imaging direction of the camera 30 is directed downward to the rear of the vehicle interior. Therefore, a wide range of the vehicle interior can be imaged by the camera 30 at a position higher and in front of the arrangement surface of the map lamp 12. Also, in the case of the interior structure of the vehicle according to the present embodiment, since the camera 30 is disposed in the recessed portion 16 of the console panel 14, the camera 30 and its housing portion do not bulge downward from the console panel 14. Therefore, the appearance from both inside and outside the vehicle can be maintained well. Therefore, when the interior structure of the vehicle according to the present embodiment is adopted, a wide range inside the vehicle compartment can be surely imaged by the camera 30, and the appearance from both inside and outside the vehicle can be maintained well. Also, in the case of the interior structure of the vehicle according to the present embodiment, since the camera 30 and its housing portion do not bulge downward from the console panel 14, a good forward view from the front seats can also be ensured.

[0046] Also, in the present embodiment, the interior of the vehicle compartment is imaged by the camera 30 using a wide-angle lens so that the left and right side walls 16s of the recessed portion 16 are reflected as vignetting 55 at the four corners in the image. In this case, although vignetting 55 due to the left and right side walls 16s of the recessed portion 16 occurs at the four corners of the image, which is less inconvenient for visually confirming the interior of the vehicle compartment, the camera 30 can be installed at a more upper position on the vehicle front side of the recessed portion 16 accordingly. Therefore, when this configuration is adopted, it becomes possible to surely image a wide range inside the vehicle compartment from a more upper side of the vehicle. Note that, in the present embodiment, the interior of the vehicle compartment is imaged by the camera 30 using a wide-angle lens, but the lens does not necessarily have to be a wide-angle lens.

[0047] Furthermore, in the present embodiment, the image captured by the camera 30 is subjected to distortion correction by the image processing circuit 60 (image correction unit) so that the vignetting 55 disappears or is reduced. For this reason, the distortion of the image captured by the camera 30 can be eliminated, and the vignetting 55 at the four corners of the image can be made to disappear or be reduced. Therefore, when this configuration is adopted, the sense of incongruity of the image visually recognized through a monitor or the like can be further reduced.

[0048] In addition, in the interior structure of the vehicle according to the present embodiment, the camera 30 is installed such that the lower end of the imaging unit 31 is positioned higher than the light emitting unit 12a of the map lamp 12 on the console panel 14. For this reason, the shadow of the camera 30 itself formed by the irradiation of the light from the light emitting unit 12a does not appear in the image of the camera 30. Therefore, when this configuration is adopted, even when the map lamp 12 irradiates light, a good image without the shadow of the camera 30 being reflected can be obtained.

[0049] In addition, in the interior structure of the vehicle according to the present embodiment, a TOF camera 50 for imaging the front seat occupants and the surrounding areas thereof is disposed outside the light emitting unit 12a of the left and right map lamps 12 on the console panel 14 in the vehicle width direction. For this reason, the TOF camera 50 that mainly images the occupants sitting in the driver's seat and the passenger seat can be disposed at a desirable position close to the occupants. Further, in this configuration, since each TOF camera 50 is disposed outside the light emitting unit 12a of the map lamp 12 in the vehicle width direction, the installation portion of the TOF camera 50 does not appear in the image of the camera 30 for interior imaging. Therefore, when this configuration is adopted, even if the TOF camera 50 is disposed at a desirable position for imaging the front seat occupants, the interior of the vehicle can be imaged well by the camera 30 for interior imaging.

[0050] Note that the present invention is not limited to the above-described embodiment, and various design changes are possible without departing from the gist thereof. For example, in the above-described embodiment, the TOF cameras 50 are respectively disposed outside the light emitting unit 12a of the left and right map lamps 12 in the vehicle width direction as the second cameras for imaging the occupants of the corresponding left and right front seats, but the second camera is not limited to the TOF camera 50. The second camera may be, for example, a normal imaging camera similar to the camera 30 for imaging the interior of the vehicle. Further, the second camera does not necessarily have to be provided.
